【本刊讯】2014年6月23～25日,中国畜牧兽医学会养猪学分会学术研讨会在武汉举行,来自国内外261名从事养猪学教学、科研和生产的专家、学者和技术人员,围绕“科技创新、设施养猪”主题进行了为期三天的生猪产业学术交流与研讨。本次研讨会由中国畜牧兽医学会养猪学分会主办,华中农业大学、湖北省农科院畜牧兽医研究所、湖北省养猪行业协会、湖北金旭农业发展股份有限公司承办,广西扬翔股份有限公司、广西柯新源（集团）原种猪有限责任公司、武汉回盛生物科技有限公司、武汉天种畜牧股份有限公司等公司协办。     

中国畜牧兽医学会养猪学分会第四次会员代表大会暨学术研讨会盛况报道

中国畜牧兽医学会养猪学分会第四次会员代表大会暨学术年会，于8月18—21日在美丽的渤海之滨天津召开。2006年学术年会共有四项主要议程，第一项是养猪学分会第四次全国会员代表大会，要选举出养猪学分会的第四届领导班子和新一届的理事及团体理事单位；第二项是2006年学术年会，针对当前养猪形势、疫病流行趋势和未来养猪发展前景进行学术交流和讨论；第三项是养猪科技展览会，为养猪及其相关行业的企业设置一个充分展现技术成果的平台；第四项是李炳坦文集首发式暨铜像揭幕仪式。     

我国兽医生物制品行业的学术盛会——中国畜牧兽医学会生物制品学分会会员代表大会暨学术研讨会掠影

南国羊城的11月，依然暖意浓浓。11月22日至24日，来自全国各地从事生物制品研究的专家和科技工作者齐集广州华泰宾馆，参加中国畜牧兽医学会生物制品学分会第八次会员代表大会暨第十次学术研讨会。中国兽医药品监察所所长王泰健、广东省农业厅副厅长陈福林和中国畜牧兽医学会秘书长阎汉平等领导到会，有150多位会员代表出席了22日召开的会员代表大会，230多位科技工作者出席了23～24日的学术研讨会。     

良好兽医公共卫生体系的建立

兽医公共卫生工作事关畜禽产品、水产品国际竞争力,事关农业增效、农民增收和小康社会的全面建设,还事关人民群众的健康和生活质量的提高。兽医公共卫生与动物性食品安全息息相关,做好兽医公共卫生工作,对于保障动物性食品安全,保障人民群众的身体健康具有重要意义。     

Tasks of public veterinary affairs in environmental hygiene]

The involvement of official veterinarians in tasks of environmental hygiene is demonstrated under differentiation of the following working-fields: animal waste-removal, animal health protection, animal welfare, and controlling of foods of animal origin. Thereby it results that nearly all sections of public veterinary affairs are connected with environmental aspects to a high degree.     

Toward harmonization of the European food hygiene/veterinary public health curriculum

Prompted by developments in the agri-food industry and associated recent changes in European legislation, the responsibilities of veterinarians professionally active in veterinary public health (VPH), and particularly in food hygiene (FH), have increasingly shifted from the traditional end-product control toward longitudinally integrated safety assurance. This necessitates the restructuring of university training programs to provide starting competence in this area for veterinary graduates or a sub-population of them. To date, there are substantial differences in Europe in the way in which graduate programs in FH/VPH are structured and in the time allocated to this important curricular group of subjects. Having recognized this, the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) recently instituted a working group to analyze the current situation, with a view to produce standard operating procedures allowing fair and transparent evaluations of universities/faculties constituting its membership and in concurrence with explicit European legislation on the professional qualifications deemed necessary for this veterinary discipline. This article summarizes the main conclusions and recommendations of the working group and seeks to contribute to the international efforts to optimize veterinary training in FH/VPH.     

Research in veterinary environmental hygiene]

The course of development of the initial subject "Veterinary Hygiene" to the reduction and specialization limited to "Animal Hygiene" and the recent extension into the broad field of environmental hygiene is described. This is done with reference to books and other publications which point the way ahead for research of veterinary medicine in environmental hygiene and thus prove the increasing importance of that subject. A survey is given over current German research in that field, future demands as well as the necessary extension of environmental hygiene in graduate and post-graduate teaching of veterinary students as well as further professional training of veterinarians.
