Digestibility of nutrients was determined in healthy calves and in those with diarrhoea at the age of two and three weeks. The total collection of feces and indigestible marker methods (with Cr2O3) were used. High equality of results and statistically non-significant differences between the method of a total collection of feces and indigestible marker one in the suckling calves (Tab. II) confirm the suitability of using these two methods to determine digestibility. Based on the composition and commercially recommended feeding guide of milk replacer, it is clear that it has lower digestible energy, Zn and Fe intake. Slightly higher digestible crude protein and Mg intake, optimum Ca and P intake, all these values were calculated for 1 kg of live weight (Tab. I). Nutrient contents is responsible for nutrient ratio which is unbalanced and for low contents of digestible energy (76.5 KJ per g of digestible crude protein) instead of recommended values of 100-110 KJ per of digestible crude protein in milk replacer in suckling calves. In six clinically healthy calves fed with milk replacer Laktavit twice a day, an apparent digestibility of organic matter was found to be 95.7 +/- 1.8%, crude protein 93.5 +/- 1.8%, fat 94.5 +/- 1.4%, carbohydrates 97.2 +/- 1.5%, Ca absorption was 86.5 +/- 2.8%, P 95.3 +/- 2.9%. There was a depressed absorption for Mg 43.4 +/- 6.8%, Fe 24.2 +/- 4.3% and Zn 36.8 +/- 3.5% (Tab. III).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

The effect of cold milk drink on selected biochemical and haematological parameters in calves blood during the milk nutrition period was observed in farm conditions, as compared with the current feeding regime. The test group was offered cold sour milk drink (one 1 MKS Laktosan acidulated with addition of 22 ml formic acid to a pH of 4.6) at the temperature of 16 degrees C after four-day-adaption till the calves average age of 61 days. The control group was given MKS Laktosan in the usual way, using the same amount of the drink and time of serving it. During the test the performance was recorded, as well as haemoglobine content, total protein, haematocrit, urea, glucose, cholesterol, transaminase (ALT and AST) activities and alkaline blood reserves. In the studied parameters no significant differences were found between the test and control group (P greater than 0.05). The average daily gains of live weight during the period of milk nutrition was 0.762 kg in the test group and 0.667 kg in the control group.  相似文献

Two different feeding regimens for calves (age up to 21 days) suffering from acute diarrhea were evaluated with respect to course of illness and change in body weight. The patients of the experimental group were given whole milk ad libitum three times a day. The patients of the control group were offered whole milk at a rate of 13% their body mass per day divided into three meals. In addition, both groups were offered an oral rehydration solution at a rate 9.5% of body mass per day, also divided into three portions. Data from 60 calves (30 in both groups) were available for statistical analysis. The duration of illness in the experimental group was 10.9 +/- 6.0 days vs. 10.0 +/- 5.2 days in the control group. The daily increase of body mass in the experimental group averaged 0.607 +/- 0.452 kg, the one in the control group 0.230 +/- 0.231 kg (p = 0.0002). The calves of the experimental group required 13.16 +/- 11.18 I milk per kg weight gain, the calves of the control group 21.39 +/- 12.80 I. Six calves of the experimental group and two calves of the control group subsequently had a relapse. On the basis of the results obtained, a feeding regimen for calves suffering from acute diarrhea is suggested.  相似文献

The purpose of this research was to establish the influence of 3 j Cx cellulase applied per gram of COT concentrate mixture, fed in combination with a milk diet acidified by formic acid to the value of pH 4.6, on calf growth performance in one metabolism and two field experiments. In the metabolism experiment two groups of calves, with six animals in each, were fed acidified whole milk, which was diluted stage by stage till weaning at 60 days of age. The average live weight gain in the control at the end of the milk feeding period, i.e. from 14 to 60 days of age, was 29.90 kg. This corresponds to a daily live weight gain of 0.650 g. The total live weight gain of male calves in the experimental group was 29.30 kg, corresponding to a daily live weight gain of 0.638 g (Tab. I). Tab. II shows the average feed and nutrient intakes per kg live weight gain. The calves which received the enzyme supplement tend to have the higher feed conversion rate. During the forage feeding period, i.e. from 61 to 90 days of age, the average daily live weight gains were 1.10 kg and 0.980 kg in the control and experimental groups, respectively (Tab. III). The average live weight of 90 days old male calves was 107.70 kg and 103.90 kg in the control and experimental groups, respectively. We investigated the diet content and properties of blood and milk in 11 pairs of Japanese Black cows and their calves for the one month following delivery. Four pairs (group A) had been no cases of white diarrhea during the year prior to this study, and 7 pairs (group B) had been a high occurrence of white diarrhea in calves during the same period. Properties of dams' diet in groups A and B before the onset of white diarrhea in calves were as follows: TDN fullness rate 98 +/- 2% vs. 110 +/- 5%, DCP fullness rate 151 +/- 2% vs. 200 +/- 33%, and starch content 5 +/- 2% vs. 14 +/- 3%. Blood and milk samples were collected from cows weekly and at the onset of white diarrhea in calves. No calves in group A had white diarrhea, while 5 out of 7 calves in group B had the diarrhea in this study. All cows were fed mixed hay, but 3 out of 5 cows whose calves had white diarrhea had been additionally given 3.0-3.5 kg of corn-silage a day from 4-5 days before onset. In all cows in the white diarrhea development group, the fat content of milk increased by 2.94 +/- 1.82% at the day of onset in comparison before. Serum TG and BUN, respectively, increased by 3.8 +/- 1.3 mg/dl and 3.7 +/- 2.0 mg/dl. Feeding cows a low-starch diet and additional corn-silage may induce a transient increase in blood TG, BUN and milk fat, which may contribute to the occurrence of white diarrhea in calves.  相似文献

为研究开食料中粗蛋白质水平对断奶犊牛营养物质消化率及氮平衡的影响,本试验选取15头荷斯坦公犊牛分别饲喂粗蛋白质水平为16.22%(低蛋白质组)、20.21%(中蛋白质组)和24.30%(高蛋白质组)的开食料。开食料采用限饲,试验在犊牛的8~16周龄进行,在10周龄和13周龄时,每组分别选取3头牛进行代谢试验。试验期为7d,采取全收粪法。结果表明,10周龄时,除粗蛋白质外,低蛋白质组的其他营养物质消化率均高于另外两组。13周龄时,除干物质外,其他营养物质的消化率均随日粮粗蛋白质水平升高而升高。犊牛的粪氮、尿氮、吸收氮、沉积氮和氮的总利用率随开食料中粗蛋白质水平的升高而升高。由此可得,日龄对犊牛营养物质的消化率存在影响,犊牛的吸收氮和沉积氮随开食料中粗蛋白质水平的升高而升高,但氮的排放也会随之升高。  相似文献

本试验旨在研究饲喂高淀粉饲粮时不同瘤胃降解淀粉水平对奶牛泌乳性能、营养物质表观消化率和氮平衡的影响。选用10头荷斯坦经产奶牛[平均泌乳天数为(214±38)d,平均乳产量为(26.2±2.4)kg/d,平均体重为(727±65)kg]作为试验动物,随机分成2组,每组5头。试验设计2种不同瘤胃降解淀粉水平的试验饲粮,分别为瘤胃降解淀粉水平为62.3%(占总淀粉的百分比)的低瘤胃降解淀粉水平饲粮(L-RDS)和瘤胃降解淀粉水平为72.1%(占总淀粉的百分比)的高瘤胃降解淀粉水平饲粮(H-RDS)。采用交叉试验设计,试验分为2期,过渡期7 d,每期试验21 d,其中适应期14 d,采样期7 d。结果显示:1)相比L-RDS组,H-RDS组有机物和淀粉的表观消化率显著升高(P0.05),中性洗涤纤维和酸性洗涤纤维的表观消化率显著降低(P0.05),干物质表观消化率有升高趋势(P=0.07),蛋白质表观消化率无显著差异(P0.05)。2)相比L-RDS组,H-RDS组尿素氮及它们占摄入氮比例有降低趋势(P=0.09),摄入氮、乳氮、粪氮、尿氮和沉积氮及它们占摄入氮比例无显著变化(P0.05),尿中总嘌呤衍生物排出量和微生物蛋白产量亦无显著变化(P0.05)。3)饲粮瘤胃降解淀粉水平对奶牛干物质采食量、乳产量和乳成分均无显著影响(P0.05)。综合以上结果可知,饲喂高淀粉饲粮时不同瘤胃降解淀粉水平影响饲粮营养物质的表观消化率,对泌乳性能和氮平衡无显著影响。  相似文献

选取刚出生的健康荷斯坦犊牛20头,随机分为酸马奶组、正常组、腹泻组和抗生素组,每组5头。除正常组外,其他3组在相同哺乳的基础上均口服100 mL致病性E.coli O1菌悬液(2.5×1011 CFU/mL)建立腹泻模型,抗生素组添加环丙沙星0.5 mg/kg,试验期15 d。结果表明:酸马奶组犊牛肠道微生物丰富度与多样性显著高于其他3组(P<0.05)。酸马奶源乳酸杆菌干预后显著提高了肠道内厚壁菌门、普雷沃氏菌科、毛螺菌科未确定菌属和拟普雷沃菌属的相对丰度,降低了拟杆菌门、变形菌门、梭杆菌门、放线菌门的相对丰度;酸马奶组犊牛粪便中乙酸、丙酸和丁酸含量显著高于其他3组(P<0.05)。由此可见,犊牛日粮中添加酸马奶源乳酸杆菌可显著提高肠道微生物多样性,增加肠道中有益菌的丰度,降低有害菌的丰度,并显著提高其粪便中乙酸、丙酸和丁酸的含量。  相似文献

本试验旨在研究益生菌对犊牛生长性能和血清生化指标的影响.选取24头新生荷斯坦犊牛,随机分为4组,每组公母各1/2,分别饲喂基础饲粮(A组,由代乳粉、开食料和羊草组成)、基础饲粮+地衣芽孢杆菌(B组)、基础饲粮+地衣芽孢杆菌与枯草芽孢杆菌的复合菌(C组,复合菌中各菌菌数比例为1∶1)、基础饲粮+地衣芽孢杆菌、枯草芽孢杆菌和植物乳酸杆菌的复合菌(D组,复合菌中各菌菌数比例为1∶1∶1).每头牛食入益生菌总数为2×1010 CFU/d.试验期共8周,分0~2周龄、2~4周龄、4~6周龄和6~8周龄4期.每2周空腹称重、测量体尺、采血1次,每天记录采食量和粪便评分情况.试验0~8周龄,B组的平均日增重显著高于A组(P<0.05),试验各组的料重比差异不显著(P>0.05);第8周龄时,B组和D组的体躯指数均显著高于A组(P<0.05);试验各组采食量和犊牛粪便评分差异不显著(P>0.05);血清生化指标不受本试验处理因素影响(P>0.05).结果表明,饲粮中添加地衣芽孢杆菌单菌提高了犊牛0~8周龄的平均日增重和8周龄的体躯指数,添加地衣芽孢杆菌与枯草芽孢杆菌和植物乳酸杆菌的复合菌提高了犊牛8周龄的体躯指数,添加益生菌对犊牛血清生化指标没有显著影响.  相似文献

A trial was conducted with 16 cows divided into control and test group (eight cows in either); since day 57.6 +/- 21.1 before parturition, test cows were given feed rations for 107 days which contained 16.0 kg clover-grass silage a day, treated with 3 l acrylic acid per t ensiled matter. Control group of cows was administered feed rations containing silage treated with 4 l formic acid per 1 t ensiled matter from day 55.5 +/- 21.9. In the blood (plasma) of test cows the alkaline phosphatase activity was increasing gradually, in the time after parturition a tendency of lower glucose (P 0.05 to 0.01), thyroxine and triiodothyronine concentrations was observed, and the phagocytal activity of leucocytes and its index decreased. The levels of ketone bodies and aspartate aminotransferase activity were found to be higher. In this period in urine the pH value and net acid-base output were lower, while the inorganic phosphorus concentration was higher. No difference were observed in colostrum density, liveweight of born calves and in the target metabolic parameters in the blood (plasma) of calves. In the 30-day period of investigation the cows of test group gave an average daily milk yield lower by 1.5 l (in comparison with control cows). The residues of acrylic acid (method sensitivity of 1.0 mg acrylic acid in 1 l sample) were not detected in their colostrum and milk.  相似文献

Feed manufacturing exerts physical and chemical changes in ingredients, including the gelatinisation of starch. Studies on the effect of the degree of starch gelatinisation on nutrient digestibility, metabolism and subsequent performance show inconsistent results, and no data are available in pigeons. In a cross‐over trial, fourteen adult pigeons were randomly divided into two groups, in which two extruded pellet diets were tested. Both the diets were similar in ingredient composition and nutrient content, but differed in extrusion conditions, resulting in a different degree of starch gelatinisation: pellets with high gelatinisation degree (HG; 73.6% gelatinisation) and low gelatinisation degree (LG; 53.1% gelatinisation). After a 14‐day adaptation period, all excreta were gathered per bird during a 5‐day collection period. Coefficients of apparent digestibility of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), crude fibre (CF), crude ash (CA) and nitrogen free extract (NFE) as well as apparent nitrogen retention were calculated from proximate analyses of feed and excreta. Further, excreta consistency was subjectively scored. Blood samples were taken at the end of each period and plasma samples were analysed for glucose, fructosamine and triglycerides. Feed intake and body weight changes were recorded weekly. The apparent digestibility coefficients (ADCs) of DM, OM, CP, EE, CA and NFE were significantly higher in the LG group (p ≤ 0.05). The ADC of crude fibre was numerically higher in the LG group but not significant, and no significant differences were found in starch digestibility. Excreta consistency score tended to be higher in the LG diet group. Neither plasma glucose nor plasma fructosamine values were significantly different between the two test diets. The results of this study show that lower degree of starch gelatinisation in extruded diets can enhance digestibility in pigeons.  相似文献

The occurrence, morphological properties, urease and alpha-amylase activities of Selenomonas ruminantium were investigated in calves in the period of milk nutrition. The average number of the organisms was found to range between 10(7) and 10(8) per 1 millilitre of rumen contents. The alpha-amylase activity of the Selenomonas strains ranged from 0.1 to 8.8 ncat.ml-1 whereas their urease activity ranged from 6.3 to 261 ncat.ml-1 of nutrient medium. The presence of morphologically typical Selenomonas ruminantium and spontaneous formation of spheroplasts were found by electron microscopic examination.  相似文献

选择体重和出生日期相近、健康状况良好的荷斯坦公犊牛30头,随机分为3组(试验I组、Ⅱ组和Ⅲ组),每组10头,研究了饲喂不同脂肪和蛋白质水平代乳粉对犊牛生长性能的影响。不同处理代乳粉的营养水平分别为:试验I组,EE13%、CP22%;Ⅱ组,EE16%、CP24%;Ⅲ组,EE19%、CP26%。研究结果表明.犊牛的日增重随着代乳粉营养水平的升高逐渐提高,试验Ⅱ组和Ⅲ组的日增重分别比试验I组提高了35.45%和37.63%(P〈(1.05).试验Ⅱ组和Ⅲ组的平均日增重差异不显著;饲喂高营养水平代乳粉具有降低犊牛腹泻的趋势;不同试验处理对犊牛开食料采食量无显著差异。综合分析饲喂不同营养水平代乳粉对犊牛生长和经济效益的影响,代乳粉的适宜营养水平为EE16%、CP24%。  相似文献

In order to evaluate the effects of an elevated amount of modified milk replacer on body weight, daily gain, starter intake, plasma endocrine parameters and expression of nutrient transporters in small intestinal epithelia, Holstein bull calves (n = 24) were fed for 60 days either with the usual amount of 24% crude protein (CP) and 20% fat milk (CF) replacer (C group), or with a double amount of a modified milk replacer of 28% CP and 16% CF (E group). Body weight from D20 to D60 and daily gain before D40 was greater or tended to be greater for the E group than the C group. Plasma concentrations of insulin‐like growth factor‐1 (IGF‐I) and insulin were greater for the E group than the C group on D28 but not on D56, without changing plasma growth hormone levels. Gene expression for sodium‐dependent glucose transporter 1 and fatty acid translocase (CD36) was altered in day‐ and intestine‐dependent manners. From these findings, we conclude that an elevated intake of milk replacer given up to 40 days old is sufficient to enhance body weight, which may be associated with increased plasma IGF‐I concentrations, in Holstein bulls.  相似文献

We investigated the effect of increasing nutrient intake on the responsiveness of the GH/IGF-I system in calves fed a high-protein milk replacer. Fifty-four Holstein bull calves were fed one of three levels (low, medium, and high; n = 18 per treatment) of a 30% crude protein, 20% fat milk replacer to achieve target rates of gain of 0.50, 0.95, or 1.40 kg/d, respectively, for low, medium, and high. Six calves per treatment were slaughtered at approximately 65, 85, and 105 kg BW. Additionally, six calves were slaughtered at 1 d of age to provide baseline data. Plasma aliquots from blood samples collected weekly were analyzed for IGF-I, insulin, glucose, NEFA, and plasma urea nitrogen (PUN). Plasma IGF-I and insulin, measured weekly, increased (P < 0.001) with greater nutrient intake from wk 2 of life to slaughter. Plasma glucose and NEFA also increased (P < 0.05) with nutrient intake. In addition, each calf underwent a GH challenge beginning 4 d before the scheduled slaughter. Plasma from blood collected before the first GH injection and 14 and 24 h after the third injection was analyzed for IGF-I and PUN. Response to challenge, calculated as the absolute difference between the prechallenge and 14-h postchallenge plasma IGF-I concentrations, was significant in calves on all three treatments. Plasma urea nitrogen was not different among treatments as measured weekly but decreased (P < 0.001) following GH challenge in all calves. Results of ribonuclease protection assays showed increased expression of hepatic mRNA for GH receptor 1A and IGF-I with increased intake. The amounts of GH receptor and IGF-I mRNA in muscle and adipose, however, were not affected by intake. In summary, plasma IGF-I was elevated in calves with increased nutrient intake, and the elevations in plasma IGF-I following short-term administration of GH were significant in all calves by 65 kg BW. Data demonstrate that in well-managed milk-fed calves the somatotropic (GH/IGF-I) axis is functionally coordinated and sensitive to nutrient intake and GH.  相似文献

试验旨在研究日粮中添加不同诱食剂对安格斯犊牛生长性能、养分表观消化率及部分血清激素的影响。采用单因子随机区组设计,选用平均体重165.1 kg±35.5 kg、约6月龄的健康安格斯肉犊牛24头,随机分为A、B、C、D 4组,每组6个重复。A组为对照组,饲喂全混合日粮(TMR);B、C、D组分别饲喂TMR+0.24%绿色素、TMR+1.2 g/d XTRACT® 7065(香味剂)、TMR+0.4%甜蜜素。预饲期10 d,正饲期30 d。结果显示,与对照组相比,B、C、D组平均干物质采食量(ADMI)均显著提高(P < 0.05)。各诱食剂均能提高犊牛营养物质表观消化率,但各诱食剂的影响程度不同,其中B组酸性洗涤纤维(ADF)表观消化率显著高于其他诱食剂组(P < 0.05),B组中性洗涤纤维(NDF)表观消化率显著高于对照组(P < 0.05)。在试验第31天采食后1 h,各组间神经肽Y(NPY)和5-羟色胺(5-HT)含量差异均不显著(P > 0.05),B、D组NPY含量高于对照组,C组则低于对照组,B、D组5-HT含量均低于对照组,而C组则高于对照组。综合考虑,日粮中添加绿色剂、香味剂及甜味剂均可在一定程度上提高犊牛生长性能及营养物质消化率;绿色剂和甜味剂可以提高犊牛血清中NPY含量,而香味剂则使犊牛血清中5-HT含量升高。  相似文献

It has been found out by examining faeces of 83 calves from calf house in Uhercice (Breclav district) that 52 calves excreted coccidium oocysts, genus Cryptosporidium Tyzzer, 1907, during the period of milk nutrition. The calves excreted oocysts from the eighth day of age, and at the end of the milk nutrition period (43rd-47th ridium Tyzzer, 1907, during the period of milk nutrition. The calves excreted oocysts of cryptosporidia were found in two thirds of calves suffering from diarrheas. By histological examination of a 27-day-old calf, developmental stages of this coccidium were found on the surface of villus epithelium in the distal part of ileum. Villi were shortened and expanded, submucous connective tissue was penetrated by inflammatory infiltrate with large quantity of eosinophil granulocytes. For demonstration of oocysts in faeces, Breza flotation method combined with sedimentation and staining by modified Giemsa panoptic method were used.  相似文献

试验旨在研究不同糖源代乳料对肉用犊牛生长性能、体尺指数及营养物质消化率的影响。选取20头新生黑安格斯犊牛,随机分为4组,每组5头。对照组随母牛饲喂,A、B、C组分别饲喂以葡萄糖、乳清粉和熟化玉米粉为主要糖源的代乳粉,30日龄时开始正式试验,试验期为45 d。分别在犊牛30、45、60、75日龄时进行空腹称重,测量体尺,每天观察记录犊牛的腹泻情况。在35~43和65~73日龄进行两期消化试验,采集样品,测定表观消化率。结果显示,试验前期不同糖源对各试验组犊牛影响明显,30~45日龄时C组平均日增重显著低于A、B组(P< 0.05),并极显著低于对照组(P< 0.01),A组日增重显著低于对照组和B组(P< 0.05);C组DM表观消化率显著低于A、B组(P< 0.05);CP表观消化率显著低于A组(P< 0.05),极显著低于B组(P< 0.01);犊牛腹泻率在这一时期也偏高。45日龄后这种影响逐渐减小,A、B组犊牛日增重开始增加,与对照组差异不显著(P> 0.05),C组犊牛生长速度也快速增加,到75日龄时平均日增重与A组差异不显著(P> 0.05);第二期消化试验中各试验组犊牛营养物质的表观消化率均明显提高,犊牛腹泻率也开始降低,试验后期降至为0。而在整个试验期不同糖源对各组的体尺及体尺指数影响不大。综上,在试验中乳糖效果最好,葡萄糖次之,熟化玉米粉则在前期效果不佳,但随着犊牛日龄的增加效果逐渐改善。  相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of different carbohydrate sources on growth performance, body size indexes and nutrients apparent digestibility of beef calves. Twenty newborn Black Angus calves were randomly divided into 4 treatments,5 replications per treatment and 1 calve per replication. The calves in control group fed with milk,while that of groups A,B and C fed with glucose,whey powder and ripened corn powder as the main carbohydrate source of milk replacer,respectively. The test was start when the calves were 30 days of age,and the trial period lasted for 45 days. The body weight and body indexes of calves were measured at 30,45,60 and 75 days of age. Two digestion tests were arranged at 35-43 and 65-73 days of age,in addition,the incidence of diarrhea was documented daily. The results showed that the effect of different carbohydrate source on the calves was obvious in the first period. At 30-45 days of age,the average daily gain of group C was extremely significantly lower than that of control group (P< 0.01),and significant lower than groups A and B (P< 0.05),while that of group A was significantly lower than that of control group and group B (P< 0.05).The DM apparent digestibility rate of group C was significantly lower than that of groups A and B (P< 0.05),the apparent digestibility of CP was significantly lower than that of group A (P< 0.05) and extremely significantly lower than that of group B (P< 0.01),diarrhea rate was also high in this period. After 45 days of age,this influence decreased,the average daily gain of groups A and B began to increase,and there was no significant difference compared with control group (P> 0.05). The growth rate of group C increased rapidly,and there was no significant difference of average daily gain compared with group A at 75 days of age (P> 0.05).The nutrient apparent digestibility were improved in the second digestible test,and the diarrhea rate began to decrease which was 0 at the end of the test. During the whole experiment,the different carbohydrate source had little effect on the body indexes. In conclusion,whey powder showed the best effects in the experiment,flowed by glucose and the effect of ripened corn powder was poor in the early,but it became better with the increase of calves' age.  相似文献
