木材真菌染色研究现状及发展趋势   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
木材真菌染色是由于真菌侵染而导致材色改变,包括菌纹线、白腐和染色。木材真菌染色可形成特殊肌理和色泽,改善木材的装饰特性,为木质产品的设计带来多样化的塑造空间。作为一种全新、天然的染色方式,真菌染色技术对于木材的美学价值和综合利用率都有较大提高。目前,分析木材真菌染色机理及染色工艺改进是开发真菌染色木材的关键。菌纹线是由于真菌的种间或种内的对抗形成,染色是由于真菌在细胞外部分泌色素或是伴随真菌自身在木材内部的生长形成。笔者从木材真菌染色机理、染色方法、染色条件、真菌染色木材性能等方面综述了木材真菌染色的研究进展。重点介绍了针对不同表现形式的不同染色方法,并对存在的问题进行了分析,提出了后续研究的方向为采用多种真菌的组合运用、环保色素溶剂的筛选、探寻更多的真菌色相用于色素提取方法染色、结合染料渗透机理改进染色工艺等。  相似文献

The role of test block placement within a modified decay jar system for promotion of fungal pigments was investigated. Beech and sugar maple blocks were inoculated with common pigment producing fungi and incubated for 10?weeks. Blocks were placed either below the vermiculite or resting on its surface; no feeder strips were utilized. Amount of pigmentation differed with block placement with Arthrographis cuboidea (on sugar maple and beech) and Xylaria polymorpha (only on sugar maple) producing more pigment when placed on the surface of the vermiculite. The differences in pigmentation, however, were not necessarily due to moisture content differences within test blocks, as moisture content did not vary significantly by block placement with A. cuboidea. Results indicate that placement of wood above vermiculite may increase pigmentation; however, reasons for the increase appear to differ among fungi.  相似文献

In this work, we present a fast and promising method to evaluate the natural durability of wood based on X-ray microdensitometry. Tested on beech and Scots pine wood samples, our findings show that this methodology and the traditional EN standards methodology based on mass loss are strongly correlated. X-ray methodology is less time consuming (we can detect the effectiveness of the attack within 5–6 weeks) and less expensive (very cheap plastic Petri dishes instead of the expensive glass Kolle flasks); moreover, the proposed method allows to thoroughly examine the phases and the kinetics of the fungal attack, and to investigate the spatial repartition of the attack within the samples due to the low thickness of the sample.  相似文献

In this study, Scots pine sapwood (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Douglas fir heartwood (Pseudotsuga menziesii Franco) specimens were exposed in double layer field trials at four different exposure sites and under different exposure conditions (in total ten test sets). The material climate of wood in terms of wood moisture content (MC) and wood temperature was automatically monitored over a period of 6 years and compared with the progress of decay. The aim of this study was to highlight the interrelationship between microclimate, material climate, and decay as a basis for the establishment of dose-response functions to be used for service life prediction of wood and wood-based products. Differences in resulting decay dynamics between the test sites as well as between the different types of exposure were quantified and discussed with respect to corresponding microclimatic and material climatic conditions. The time between the beginning of exposure and the first occurrence of visible decay varied between the sites and influenced the total decay development. The fundamental importance of direct decay factors, such as MC and wood temperature, were underlined and basic requirements for establishing dose-response-functions to be used in service life prediction models were derived.  相似文献

Summary Observations made on ponded white spruce wood with the electron microscope revealed that initial branching of perforation hyphae of soft rot fungi did not parallel microfibrillar orientation in the S2 wall layer but rather occurred perpendicular to this alignment. In the absence of structural evidence suggesting mechanical entry it appeared that cell wall pencetration was accomplished through enzymatic activity at the hyphal apex.The authors wish to express their thanks to Miss S. Summary The distribution of Cu, Cr and As in the walls of tracheids of Scots pine impregnated with Tanalith C at a retention of 2.5 lb/ft3 has been examined at the submicroscopic level in the electron microscope microanalyser, EMMA-4, using the absolute method, as well as in the conventional electron microscope. All three elements are present in all regions examined (probe area 0.2 m diameter). The concentration of Cu ranges from 0.4–0.9% (w/w), that of Cr is about 0.8%, while As ranges from 2%–2.6%. The morphology of this fine deposit is clearly dictated by the run of the cellulose microfibrils. There is in the wall an occasional coarse deposit, almost entirely copper, and the inner face of the tracheid wall is covered by a thin layer 20–30 m thick which contains all these elements at high concentration.  相似文献

Summary The deformation processes involved in wedge indentation of wood are described. The behaviour of wood is compared to that of an elastic-plastic solid and that of a cellular body. It approximates towards the former when its density is high and towards the latter when its density is low. Summary Cellulases and hemicellulases (mannanase and xylanase) from culture filtrates of various fungi, including a brown rot fungus, Polyporus schweinitzii and a soft rot fungus, Chaetomium globosum, have been isolated and characterized. Investigations of their molecular weights, pH- and temperature optima and stabilities indicate that hydrolases of the wood destroying fungi are very similar to one another and to hydrolases from various other plant organisms. Substrate specificities and the effect of substituents on the natural substrates have also been investigated. Routine tests for mannanase and xylanase were carried out with model substrates (mannan from Tubera salep, xylan from wheat straw), but preliminary tests with complex hemicelluloses isolated from wood showed that these too could be broken down to monoor oligosaccharides. The results presented are discussed in relation to possible roles of the various enzymes in vivo.Paper presented at the Int. Wood Chemistry Symposium, Seattle, 3. ABSTRACT

Acetylated wood is now commercially available and designed to be used in certain outdoor applications as an alternative to preservative-treated wood. Fastener corrosion can be a concern in preservative treated wood when the wood remains wet for long periods. However, little data on the corrosiveness of acetylated wood exists beyond the product literature. Here we examine the corrosiveness of commercially obtained acetylated wood and compare it against unmodified (untreated) southern pine (Pinus spp.). Corrosion rates of plain carbon steel, hot dip galvanized steel, and stainless steel were calculated gravimetrically after a one year exposed in the wood. Four different moisture conditions were examined: 90% relative humidity (RH), 95% RH, 100% RH, and a fully water saturated condition. When compared to literature data on the corrosion of fasteners in preservative treated wood at 100% RH, the acetylated wood had much lower steel corrosion rates than all preservatives examined; the measured corrosion rates for galvanized steel were lower than all preservatives except chromated copper arsenate. These measured corrosion rates across a range of moisture conditions can be used to inform the selection of appropriate corrosion resistant fasteners when building with acetylated wood.  相似文献

Steam explosion is a process used to enhance enzyme penetration and digestibility of wood. Wood chips are processed with high-pressure steam for a limited time, and the bonding between polysaccharides and lignin is weakened. After this processing, the pressure is rapidly reduced to induce steam explosion where the vapor inside a fiber expands and exerts pressure on the fiber walls. This pressure causes fiber deformation and breakage. In this study, fiber deformation caused by vapor expansion was simulated by single wood fibers using finite element modeling. When pressure is applied inside a fiber, it is likely to break from the corner and midway between two adjacent corners. The fiber is modeled with four layers (P, S1, S2, and S3). Although the P, S1, and S3 layers are very thin, they significantly prevent fiber deformation. The fibers with a thin wall and a low micro-fibril angle (MFA) deform more than the fibers with a thick wall and a higher MFA. It was found that the shape of the fiber plays an important role in its deformation. The areas of localized strain are the most likely places for fiber splitting. Essentially, fiber wall damage is more likely to occur in (1) thin-walled fibers, i.e., earlywood, (2) fibers with damaged P and S1 layers, (3) fibers with low MFAs, and (4) fibers with irregular cross-sections. Different chemical pretreatments, fractionation procedures, and selections of raw materials can accordingly be considered to produce easily steam-exploded materials.  相似文献

In this study, the use of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as boron fixative agent was investigated. Two levels of PVA (2.5 and 4%) were evaluated with disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (DOT) at three concentrations (1, 2 and 4% boric acid equivalent (BAE)) using a double vacuum impregnation process on Scots pine sapwood specimens. Leaching was performed according to a laboratory leaching procedure. Boron analysis using atomic absorption spectrometer showed a significant reduction in boron leachability for the samples treated with both concentrations of PVA when compared to the stand-alone boron treatment leading to boron retentions capable of preventing wood biological degradations. Decay resistance of the leached specimens was evaluated using the brown rot fungus Poria placenta. Even if complete protection was not fully achieved, an improvement in decay resistance was observed for the samples treated with DOT in presence of PVA. This leak of efficacy was attributed to a decrease in the biological activity of the complexed boron against fungi. Durability of treated wood against termite attack, evaluated using Reticulitermes santonensis, indicated a significant enhancement for the samples treated in presence of the fixative agent compared to the pure boron treatment.  相似文献

通过浸渍填充碳酸钠和氯化钙两种不同的无机盐溶液,使浸入木材的钙离子与碳酸根离子结合。在木材微纤丝间隙和管胞的胞腔中生成稳定的固体化合物碳酸钙,从而使杨木中填充了大量的无机物,得到无机复合木材。实验表明当温度为60℃、CaCl2溶液浓度为40%、Na2CO3溶液浓度为25%时,木材增重率最大,可达32.4%;而且处理过的杨木试件的硬度均比未处理高,且硬度平均提高24.36%。  相似文献

Rot is known to affect the strength properties of wood. At the same time, the damping properties of the attacked material have also been shown to change. This article presents the results of an experimental study in which rot in wood was modeled by the replacement of wood with sand. The procedure entailed the drilling of holes in the body of a wooden beam, filling the holes with sand, and monitoring the changes induced by the sand-filled holes on the values of the modulus of elasticity (MOE) and of the loss factor. The MOE was calculated from the resonance frequency of the first longitudinal mode of vibration, and the loss factor was obtained indirectly from the impulse response by means of a room acoustical technique. The results show that the MOE value, and hence the strength characteristic of the wood specimen, decreases at the same time as the loss factor increases.  相似文献

Rapid wood liquefaction by supercritical phenol   总被引:21,自引:0,他引:21  
Wood was rapidly liquefied at the supercritical temperature of phenol. Under these conditions, wood was liquefied by over 90% for 0.5 min, and the combined phenol content of the obtained liquefied wood reached about 75%. The effects of various reaction conditions on liquefaction were investigated. With increases in reaction temperature, phenol/wood weight ratio, and the charged mass-to-reactor capacity (w/v) ratio, the amount of methanol-insoluble residue decreased and combined phenol content increased. The range of molecular weights and polydispersity of the products obtained after the time at which sufficient liquefaction was achieved were from 400 to 600 and from 1.5 to 2.5, respectively. Wood showed a marked decomposition to low molecular weight components early in the reaction, and then the molecular weight increased slightly with increasing reaction time. The properties of liquefied wood were investigated and compared with those obtained with conventional liquefaction methods. Combined phenol content was similar to that obtained by other liquefaction methods, except the sulfuric acid–catalyzed method, which resulted in flow properties comparable to those of other liquefaction methods. The flexural strength of moldings prepared using liquefied wood was also comparable to those prepared by other liquefaction methods.  相似文献

The properties of acetylated solid wood were investigated earlier, in particular the anti-shrink efficiency and the resistance against decay. This study focuses on the possible changes and damage to the wood structure due to an acetylation process leading to weight per cent gains of up to 20%. Electron microscopy (SEM and TEM) was used to investigate the fine structure of acetylated beech, pine and spruce. Cell wall swelling was observed, but no evidence of damage could be seen as a result of the acetylation procedure. The fine structure of the wood tissue such as the pits and the thin parenchyma walls appeared untouched.  相似文献
