Chitosan is a natural non-toxic biopolymer and is widely used in various fields because of the antimicrobial activities. In this study, the properties of nylon textiles grafted with chitosan oligomer or chitosan polymer after being activated by open air plasma were evaluated. Results showed that nylon textiles grafted with chitosan polymer had better antibacterial performances than those grafted with chitosan oligomer. Air plasma activation at a higher speed (26 m/min) for a few times facilitated the grafting of chitosan and critically determined the antibacterial activities. Further treatment with air plasma after grafting improved the antibacterial effect. Overall, chitosan-grafted nylon textiles showed good antibacterial potential as well as biocompatibility.  相似文献

Effect of using cold plasma on dyeing properties of polypropylene fabrics   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The low temperature plasma (LTP) technique is used widely to modify polymer and textile materials. This paper describes the development of a plasma system for textile treatment. Polypropylene (PP) has a very low value of the surface free energy (approximately 20–25 mJ/m2). Due to low surface energy, Polypropylene has very weak hydrophilic properties. By controlling the plasma variables, such as the nature of gas, the discharge power, the pressure and the exposure time, a great variety of surface effects can be generated. In this paper, we report the effect of cold plasma of O2 and N2 gases at various time of exposure on the dyeing and physical properties of PP fabrics. The results show a significant increase in the color depth upon dyeing after treating PP fabrics with low temperature plasma of O2 and N2. For comparing the amount of fabrics dye exhaustion, we have used reflective spectrophotometer. The morphology of the modified surfaces has also been investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). And also FTIR was used to examine the functional groups of the corresponding samples.  相似文献

This study aims to investigate the viability of atmospheric plasma treatment over raw cotton fabric surfaces as an alternative method for superseding the wet textile pre-treatment processes. For this purpose, the fabric samples were treated with air plasma and argon atmospheric plasma. Thereafter, the hydrophilicity and the wickability of plasma treated samples increased, and also the contact angles decreased significantly. Chemical changes were analyzed by FTIR-ATR and XPS. Morphological changes were observed by SEM. The results were inspected for assessing to what extent the replacement might be achieved by inducing this surface modification method.  相似文献

In this paper, modifications of textile properties of polyester due to laser irradiation were studied. Properties included fibre weight and diameter, tensile strength and elongation, yarn abrasion, bending, surface luster, wetting, air permeability as well as crystallinity. Some properties were affected significantly while others were found unchanged. Besides, some properties were positively affected and some were adversely changed. Generally speaking, laser irradiation could not affect the bulk property of polymer due to its low penetration depth, and hence, the effect of the laser irradiation on the bulk and structural properties was limited. However, the performance and comfort properties of the laser irradiated polyester could be largely affected by laser irradiation as these properties could have been changed considerably if the surface was modified.  相似文献

Polypropylene nonwoven fabrics were exposed to He/O2 atmospheric pressure glow discharge plasma. Surface chemical analysis and contact angle measurement revealed the surface oxidation by formation of new functional groups after plasma treatment. Weight loss (%) measurement and scanning electron microscopy analysis showed a significant plasma etching effect. It was investigated in low-stress mechanical properties of the fabrics using Kawabata Evaluation System (KES-FB). The surface morphology change by plasma treatment increased surface friction due to an enhancement of fiber-to-fiber friction, resulting in change of other low-stress mechanical properties of fabric.  相似文献

Knitted wool and wool/nylon blend dyed fabrics were treated with low temperature plasma (LTP) to achieve optimum shrink-resistance without impairing surface topography, colour or fastness to washing of the fabrics. As LTP tends to impair handle of the fabrics, both wool and wool/nylon blend fabrics were submitted to industrial softening and/or biopolymer treatments after LTP treatment, leading to hydrophilic wool and wool/nylon blend fabrics with improved shrink-resistance without any colour changes and good fastness to washing. The results obtained were compared with those obtained by an industrial shrink-resist treatment.  相似文献

In present work, PET FDY has been used to blend with diacetate filaments by air texturing process and core-and-effect air-textured yarns have been produced. The influences of both over-feeds of core and effect components on properties of textured yarns were mainly examined. It was observed that a spun-like effect of diacetate filaments occurred during air texturing and there were a little amount of free fiber ends besides loops on blended air textured yarns, while the number of free fiber ends changed little with variation in over-feeds. The tenacity of textured yarns decreased with increase in over-feeds of effect or core component. The breaking elongation increased with increase in over-feed of effect component, but decreased with increase in over-feed of core component. The yarn stability improves when both over-feeds are increased. The effect of over-feeds on boiling water shrinkage shows no clear trend. The core and average diameters are higher at high over-feed of effect component, but the over-feed of core component exhibits little effect on yarn diameters. The number and size of loops are increase with increased over-feed of effect component.  相似文献

The effect of atmospheric pressure plasma treatment on wettability and dyeability of polysulfonamide (PSA) yarns and aging behavior were investigated. The helium and helium/oxygen plasma-treated PSA yarns were stored for different time varying from 10 to 60 days at the condition of 25 °C and 65 % relative humidity. The water absorption time and K/S value were used to determine the wettability and dyeability of polysulfonamide yarns before and after plasma treatment. The changes in surface morphology and chemical composition were analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). The plasma treatments resulted in the decrease in water absorption time and the increase in K/S value, especially for the helium/oxygen plasma-treated PSA yarns dyed with cationic dyestuff. SEM observation confirmed that the PSA fiber surface was roughed and XPS analysis showed that the polar groups on PSA fiber surface increased after the plasma treatments. As plasma treatment time increased and oxygen gas was added, a greater degree of etching was achieved and more polar groups such as hydroxyl and carboxyl groups produced on PSA fiber surface, contributing to a better wettability and thus a better dyeability of the yarns. Almost no apparent aging effect was observed within 10 days. And then with the increasing storage time, the water absorption time and K/S value firstly quickly and then slowly increased and decreased. However, after 30 days, almost no aging effect was observed. The atmospheric pressure plasma treatment had no obviously influence on tensile strength of PSA yarns.  相似文献

Current research was carried out on hydrophilic wool fibers at three different humidity conditions through atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ). Samples were taken to evaluate surface microscopic morphology, surface roughness, directional friction effect (DFE), and surface chemical composition. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) and fiber friction coefficient test (FFT) results show that wetting pretreatment has significant effect on surface etching and DFE, but very limited effect on surface roughness. Allwörden reaction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) results reveal that extra moisture changes C, O, N, S contents and their related characteristic functional groups, therefore increases etching degree on wool fiber surface scales. It was concluded that APPJ treatment is effective in processing wool fiber with high moisture contents.  相似文献

Vertical wicking model was developed based on Darcy’s law. In the model, permeability coefficient, capillary pressure and fabric thickness were used as the key parameters to describe wicking behavior. For the simulation and test, fiber type and fabric structure were chosen as variables. In a highly porous knit fabric, gravitational effect during the wicking process was significant. The higher the capillary pressure was, the higher was the wicking rise. Surface wetting tension, i.e., the specific fluid affinity of material, was newly defined to characterize different capillary pressures in various types of fabric structures. The model, the methodology and the results could provide an insight into fabric design to produce fabric with an optimum wicking performance.  相似文献

A novel flame retardant monomer DDPSi-FR containing organophosphorus and silicon was prepared using 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO), 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (HBA), and 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS). The chemical structure of DDPSi-FR was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Subsequently, after treating the wool fabrics, the effects of the monomer on the flame retardancy, thermal stability, and mechanical properties were studied. The flame retardant and thermal properties were evaluated by conducting vertical flame tests, limiting oxygen index (LOI) determination, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The results showed that improved flame retardancy and thermal stability were achieved. Notably, the flame retardancy was retained even after 15 washing cycles. The mechanical properties were evaluated using the bursting strength, and the results indicated that DDPSi-FR treatment improved the breaking strength.  相似文献

Helium-oxygen plasma treatments were conducted to modify poly(trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT) and poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) warp knitted fabrics under atmospheric pressure. Lubricant and contamination removals by plasma etching effect were examined by weight loss (%) measurements and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. Surface oxidation by plasma treatments was revealed by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses, resulting in formation of hydrophilic groups and moisture regain (%) enhancement. Low-stress mechanical properties (evaluated by Kawabata evaluation system) and bulk properties (air permeability and bust strength) were enhanced by plasma treatment. Increasing interfiber and interyarn frictions might play important roles in enhancing surface property changes by plasma etching effect, and then changing low-stress mechanical properties and bulk properties for both fabrics.  相似文献

Low temperature plasma (LTP) treatment using oxygen gas was applied to a wool fabric. The LTP treated wool fabric was tested with several methods: ASTM D5035-1995, ASTM D1424-1996, AATCC Test Method 99-2000, AATCC Test Method 61-2001 1A, AATCC Test Method 15-2002 and AATCC Test Method 8-2001 and the results were compared with the industrial requirements (ASTM D3780-02 and ASTM D4155-01). The results revealed that the LTP treated wool fabric could fulfil the industrial requirements. The results of the investigation were discussed thoroughly in this paper.  相似文献

Fiber quality is very important for all the steps of the textile area. Underwater shock wave has been utilized for metal, wood, food processing and medical applications and renewed and increased application during the last decade. The main object of this study, is to demonostrate underwater shock wave as a surface treatment of natural fibers such as jute and cotton in form of yarn and to report characterized properties of the treated fibers. The underwater shock wave was generated by the explosion of the detonation fuse in the water tank. The process of bubble generation and expansion inside the water results in the formation of shock wave. Natural fibers were exposed to shock wave treatment depending on the different pressures and detonatinon fuse separation distance. After shock-loading, fibers were selected for physicomechanical and physicochemical tests such as Scaning Elecron Microscopy (SEM) analysis, breaking strength, moisture behavior, permeability and wicking test. The maximum effect with improved moisture content, permeabilty and wicking properties were observed from 100 MPa. The treated fiber showed high performance necessary for use in woven and non woven purpose.  相似文献

在西藏东南地区土壤有效磷、钼缺乏条件下进行磷钼不同水平组合对双低油菜影响的田间试验。结果表明:(1)油菜籽粒产量及含油量随施磷量递增而极显著提高;磷钼互作或单施钼肥对籽 产量亦具有极显著或显著增产效应,对籽粒粗脂肪含量则无明显影响。各处理中以P2O5225.0kg/hm^2、Mo1.0%组合的籽粒产量及粗脂肪含量最高,分别较对照增加170.9%和21.6%。(2)磷钼互作对油菜产量构成因素特别是角  相似文献

In this current study, prevalence of lameness was detected and its changes during different parities, Days in Milk (DIM) and milk production were studies. In addition, effects of lameness on Open Days (OD) and Service per Conception (S/C) were studied. Three dairy farms on three scales (1: Large, approximately 900 milking cows, 2: Medium, approximately 100 milking cows and 3: Small, approximately 20 milking cows) were watched for lameness in 2005-2006. Locomotion Scoring (LS) by Sprecher method (1-5 point scale) has been done by videoing of the animals at the exit of the milking parlor. Videos were reviewed by two expert and mean of the each score used as score of the animal, cows with scores 1 and 2 recorded as non-lame and 3, 4 and 5 as lame cows. The average score of the lameness in autumn and spring recorded as 2.47 and 2.73, respectively that was higher significantly in spring. LS has been increased significantly by increasing parity and DIM, as highest scores were recorded in parity 4 and DIM 240-300. No significant differences between lame and non-lame cows were recorded in according to their milk production. The highest (percent in lame cows) scores were recorded in high producing cows. No significant difference in milk production has been recorded in different LS. However the average production of milk in lame cows were 1.08 L day(-1) less that non-lame cows. The average OD of the lame cows was significantly longer (52 days) than non-lame cows. Lame cows needed significantly higher service/conception (one) than non-lame cows. 选用9个百粒重不同的大豆品种和1个杂交组合为材料,分析了不同微样 和量相对于常规小样品分析的精确性,探讨了单粒微样品豆腐产量分析的适用性。结果表明,微样品用量大于或等于2粒时可用于估计品种的干豆腐产量;单粒分析说法与常规小样品分析存在系统偏差,但适当增加重复次数仍具有相对比较价值,并可用于豆腐产量的遗传分析,应用微样品1/10浆液分析对干豆腐产量进行估计时,样品用量宜在6粒以上,微样品部分豆粉分析  相似文献

The increasing need to prolong the shelf life of buckwheat has prompted the use of roasting techniques in buckwheat processing. For effective roasting, the responses of common buckwheat (CB) and tartary buckwheat (TB) to the process should be explored. Herein, the antioxidant properties, nutrients, pasting, and thermal properties of raw and roasted buckwheat flours (roasted at 200 °C for 50 s) from two CB and three TB varieties were investigated. Results showed that roasting considerably reduced the total flavonoid content (TFC) and total phenolic content (TPC) of TB. The TPC of CB was significantly improved by roasting, whereas the TFC significantly decreased. The total antioxidant capacities were consistent with the TPCs. Additionally, the colour deepened as the amount of antioxidant compounds increased. Unexpectedly, roasting enhanced the protein and fat contents of CB and decreased those of TB. Roasting improved the nutritional quality and antioxidant capacity of CB, and opposite results were obtained in TB. In conclusion, CB was more suitable to the development of roasted specialty products with nutritional applications than TB. We suggest that differences among varieties should be considered first in the buckwheat roasting process.  相似文献

以柴蕉吸芽茎尖为外植体,进行无菌株系建立与芽苗增殖研究。试验结果表明,先将柴蕉吸芽接种于液体诱导培养基1/2 MS+4 mg·L^-1BA+0.5 mg·L^-1NAA+30 g·L^-1蔗糖,7 d后转到1/2MS+4 mg·L^-1BA+0.5 mg·L^-1NAA+30 g·L^-1蔗糖+1 mg·L^-1AC中,可以有效减少外植体的褐变;在MS+4 mg·L^-1BA+0.3 mg·L^-1NAA+30 g·L^-1蔗糖+6 g·L^-1琼脂+80 g·L^-1腺嘌呤培养基上采用薄切片进行继代增殖,出芽率高且芽苗粗壮。  相似文献

Many research reported vegetable oil as a potential substitute for diesel engines with its ester form known as biodiesel. The biodiesel can be prepared by different process using vegetable oil and alcohol. The common process used for biodiesel preparation is known as transesterification. This paper presents the transesterification of Sal oil (Shorea robusta) into Sal oil methyl ester (SOME) and its performance in direct injection diesel engine. Several process parameters such as catalyst quantity, molar ratio of alcohol, reaction temperature and reaction time were studied and the optimized process conditions are amount of catalyst (NaOH) - 0.25 wt%, alcohol (methanol) - 150% excess, reaction temperature - 65 °C and reaction time - 1.5 h. The studies with SOME as fuel in the direct injection diesel engine shows that the exhaust emissions such as CO, HC and NOx are reduced by 25%, 45% and 12%, respectively compared to diesel without significant difference in thermal efficiency. Based on this study it is concluded that the SOME can be used as fuel without any modifications in the engine and hence this biodiesel can be a potential substitute to standard diesel fuel.  相似文献
