ISOLATION OF A VIRAL AGENT FROM PSEUDOCOWPOX DISEASE

A virus with characteristics similar to the pox group was isolated in tissue culture from bovine skin and oral lesions typical of pseudocowpox. The properties of this agent, certain of which differ from vaccinia virus, suggest that the isolate is the etiologic agent of the pseudocowpox syndrome.     

ISOLATION OF A NEW "CAROTENOID" FROM RAT LIVER

A new carotenoid-like substance has been isolated from rat liver. A method for its separation and some of its properties are given. The authors wish to express their gratitude to Dr. H. F. Seibert, of the S.M.A. Corporation, for the samples of the beta carotene used in these studies.     

樟树叶片抑菌化合物的分离纯化及其部分特性研究

以碱提取、酸沉淀的方法从樟树叶片中分离得到一种棕黑色粉末，该提取物主要为有色化合物Ａ和Ｂ的混合物，化合物Ａ的含量成倍高于化合物Ｂ；经ｓｉｌｉｃａｇｅｌ、Ａｌ＿２Ｏ＿３及ｓｅｐｈａｄｅｘＧ－２５柱层析分离纯化等步骤，得到纯化的红棕色化合物Ａ，经ＰＡＧＥ、ＰＬＣ及ＴＬＣ检测均为单一谱带或单一斑点；该化合物熔点为２８０．２９℃，λ＿（ｍａｘ）￣（ＫＯＨ）为２１３ｎｍ，Ｅ１ｃｍ１％为３４２．５，肩峰为２５７ｎｍ，ｐＩ为３．７，对大肠杆菌、金黄葡萄球菌、巨大芽孢杆菌、枯草杆菌及毛霉有较强的抑菌活性。     

内蒙古河套地区酸粥中乳酸菌的分离及其生物学特性的研究

本实验从内蒙古河套地区家庭中采集12个酸粥的酸浆样品，进行乳酸菌的分离及生物学特性的研究。从样品中分离到10株乳酸菌，8株属于乳杆菌属，2株属于肠球菌属，其中以乳杆菌的细菌分布最广。本项实验分离到的乳酸菌属中温菌，且产酸、产香效果良好。     

ISOLATION AND PROPERTIES OF CHICKEN ERYTHROCYTE NUCLEI

(1) A method has been described for the isolation of chicken erythrocyte nuclei using saponin to lake the cells. Nuclei prepared by this method have been compared with nuclei prepared by the method of Laskowskie and with nuclei prepared by a citric acid method, particularly in regard to respiration. (2) The total lipid content of the nuclei is about 14 per cent. and the desoxyribonucleic acid content is about 45 per cent. (3) A yellow pigment contained in the nuclei appears to be xanthophyll. (4) A gel formed by the nuclei at pH 8.5 in the presence of ammonia and the absence of other cations is described.     

鹿结核病的病原分离

作者从1986年7月到1988年5月在吉林省和北京市不同地区10个鹿场,用牛型OT点眼试验,选取阳性反应的鹿只48头,捕杀后,采取眼观有病变的肺和淋巴结为病料共96份,按照《分枝杆菌鉴定规程》对96份病料进行了细菌的分离。共分离出36株分枝杆菌,分离率为75.0％(36/48)。试验证明,对鹿体分枝杆菌的分离前处理采用4％H_2SO_4处理较好。选用丙酮酸钠和改良罗氏培养基适合于分枝杆菌的分离培养。涂片采用Ziehl—Neelsen染色法较好。菌体的形态、大小及培养特性与其他动物的分枝杆菌一致。
