No differences in blood samples were found out when the biochemical parameters in arterial and venous blood of dairy cows were compared before and after milking. Negative correlation coefficient (r = -0.3460) approaching the significance level was determined by comparing the values for milk yield on the day of sampling (in ascending phase of lactation) and protein content in venous blood after milking, and significant negative correlation coefficient (r = -0.3813) for daily milk yield and gamma-globulin concentration in venous blood before milking. The relationship between butterfat content on the day of milking and the values of alkaline phosphatase can be characterized by significant up to highly significant negative correlation coefficients in all three blood samples (r = -0.3232 to -0.3908).  相似文献

23 cows of the Holstein-Friesian breed during second lactation were used in the experiment. All animals were housed in one stable with tying. The blood was collected from each cow four times during first to third, fourth to sixth, seventh to ninth and above nine months of lactation. After 305 days of lactation, the milk cows were classified as with high (n = 14) and lower performance (n = 9), the limit value was 5000 kg of milk. The difference in milk production between groups was highly significant even during the period of the first 90 days (501 kg) and this difference increased for 305 days of lactation to 1538 kg (Tab. I); the dairy cows with high performance produced 6162 kg of milk per 305 days and that with the lower performance gave 4624 kg during the same period. Another significant differences occurred in the fat contents per kg and in the amount of milk converted on 4% fat content. During the first stage of lactation a slightly higher haemoglobine level was found in cows with high performance, the opposing results were obtained in another studies (Tab. II), the highest difference was recorded in the course of 7th to 9th month. The level of total protein was, except 7th to 9th month, always higher in cows of the first group. The difference was significant at the beginning of lactation. Insulin concentration (INS) exhibited identical tendency for the whole lactation--dairy cows with high milk production exhibited lower values, significant differences were recorded in the first observation at the beginning of lactation and in the period above 9 months. Similarly as in case of insulin, it is also in hormones of thyroid gland, the cows with high milk capacity had the lower values (Tab. III). The highest differences in triiodothyronine (T3) concentration were recorded in the second half of lactation, significance ranged from 7th to 9th month of lactation. In thyroxine content (T4), marked differences were recorded during the first and last observations, the difference was highly statistically significant during the seventh to ninth month of lactation. The levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (AMP) were higher for the whole experiment in animals with lower milk production. Tab. IV gives the correlation coefficient of different parameters between periods under study. Almost all parameters are in a close positive relation, the closest dependences were observed between second, third and fourth periods in hormones of thyreoidea. During the evaluation of the biochemical components of the arterial and venous blood of cows before and after milking, an insignificantly higher content of ash was found in the blood of the cows of Black-Pied Lowland breed, as compared with the Slovak Pied breed. The difference in the activity of alkaline phosphatase was found to be significant: the higher alkaline phosphatase activity was recorded in the blood of the cows of Slovak Pied breed than in the cows of Black-Pied Lowland cattle of the same age and in the same stage of lactation. A positive relationship was found between the milk yield and albumin level in the blood of the dairy cows of Black-Pied Lowland cattle; in the same breed a negative relationship was found between venous blood before milking and the level of gamma-globulins.  相似文献

通过分析泌乳初期健康、酮病和低钙血症奶牛血液生化指标及乳成分,明确相关疾病的乳成分特征,同时对泌乳初期奶牛血液生化指标与乳成分相关性进行分析,以期为牛群健康评价提供方法支持。根据血液指标选取产后7~21d荷斯坦奶牛72头,分为亚临床低钙血症试验组、酮病试验组和健康对照组,每组各24头。采集试验奶牛的血液和乳汁用于血液生化指标与乳成分相关性分析。结果显示,酮病和低钙血症引起乳蛋白和非脂乳固体水平降低,而乳中柠檬酸的含量增加。奶牛乳中柠檬酸与血清NEFA、BHBA和GLU相关性方程分别为:y=3.192x-0.802,R~2=0.363;y=4.594x-0.793,R~2=0.320;y=1.228x+0.775,R~2=0.261;其中方程中x为乳中柠檬酸的含量。结果表明,乳中柠檬酸的含量与血液NEFA呈显著正相关,可用于能量负平衡的早期诊断标示物。血中BUN及ALB的水平可用于评价乳蛋白和尿素的水平。  相似文献

Although not scientifically proven, hoof trimming has been empirically shown to increase milk yields in healthy dairy cows. In this study, we examined the effect of one-time hoof trimming on blood biochemical composition, milk yield, and milk composition in healthy dairy cows. Eleven cows in the mid to late lactation period that were clinically fit and without hoof disease were subjected to hoof trimming, and metabolic profile tests and dairy herd improving tests were performed before and three weeks after the hoof trimming. The metabolic profiles showed changes in albumin, blood urea nitrogen, ammonia, glucose, and beta-hydroxybutyric acid as a result of the hoof trimming. This was indicated by the fact that the cows began to intake more roughage after hoof trimming than prior to hoof trimming, and rumen fermentation became stable. There was no change in milk yield after trimming. However, the milk fat and milk protein compositions were significantly increased after trimming.  相似文献

为了探究不同胎次和热应激程度对奶牛产奶量、乳脂率、乳蛋白率、脂蛋比、体细胞数和高峰奶量的影响,收集了广州某奶牛场360头荷斯坦泌乳母牛近5年的奶牛生产性能测定体系(DHI)数据,用R (Version 3. 3. 2)和SPSS 20. 0软件分析了不同胎次和热应激程度对产奶量及乳成分的影响。结果:相比于其他胎次的奶牛,头胎母牛产奶量、高峰奶量较低(P<0. 05);头胎牛的脂蛋比显著高于其他胎次牛(P<0. 05),其余各胎次间差异不显著(P>0. 05);随着胎次的增加,牛奶中体细胞数存在明显的上升趋势(P<0. 05)。中度热应激下的产奶量、高峰奶量显著低于轻度热应激(P<0. 05);中度热应激下产犊的奶牛体细胞数会稍稍偏高,但与无热应激和轻度热应激下产犊的奶牛相比差异不显著(P>0. 05);乳脂率、乳蛋白率各组差异不显著(P>0. 05)。  相似文献

A negative relationship of glutamic acid content and milk yield over the first 100 days of lactation was found in a set of 20 cows. In some free amino acids, large differences exist between the cows with the higher milk yield and those with the lower milk yield, the largest difference being recorded in the content of glutamic acid (in favour of the cows with the lower milk output). The group of cows with the higher milk output per day or per first 100 days of lactation showed no dependence on any of the free amino acids in milk. The group of cows with the lower milk yield showed a significant negative relation of glutamic acid content to milk yield over the first 100 days of lactation and a significant to highly significant positive relation between serine, threonine and alanine contents on the one hand and daily milk yield on the other.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were to quantify the effect of 16 ppm of dietary monensin on milk production and composition of dairy cows, and to investigate factors having a potential impact on this effect. Data were generated from a total of 3577 Holstein dairy cows (47 herds) in Quebec enrolled in a herd-level, randomized clinical trial investigating the effects of monensin supplementation. Milk production and composition data were collected from monthly dairy herd improvement (DHI) testing. Monensin increased milk production by 0.9 kg/cow/d in cows under 150 days in milk (DIM) (P < 0.05). Monensin decreased milk fat percentage by 0.18 percentage points during the whole lactation (P < 0.05). This decreasing effect was larger for component-fed cows (P < 0.05) and for cows being fed low levels of dietary physically effective particles (P < 0.05) when compared respectively to cows fed total mixed ration and cows fed high levels of dietary physically effective particles. The results of this study suggest that monensin influences milk production and milk composition of dairy cows, and that diet composition and feeding system influence those effects.  相似文献

Abstract

Thirty-two Chinese Holstein lactating cows were used to investigate the relationship of milk urea nitrogen (MUN) and nitrogen excretion loading to the environment. Cows were fed a similar amount of forage, and concentrates according to milk production. Total collection of urine and faeces were conducted continuously for three days. The milk urea nitrogen was significantly correlated to total nitrogen excretion (R 2=0.70), urinary nitrogen excretion (R 2=0.85), and nitrogen excretion from faeces (R 2=0.22). The following equation was proposed to predict total nitrogen excretion (TNE) (g/d) based on milk urea nitrogen (MUN) (mg/dl): TNE?=?15.46(±1.83)×MUN?+?193.40(±28.79). The results obtained in this study suggested that MUN might be used to predict TNE from lactating cows.  相似文献

Six lactating Holstein cows were divided into two groups (n = 3) and used in a double reversal trial with three periods of 14 days each to evaluate the rumen fermentation, milk production and milk composition of cows fed brewer's grain (BG). The control diets contained 14% chopped Sudangrass hay, 24% corn silage, 18% alfalfa hay cube, 34% concentrate mixture‐1 and 10% concentrate mixture‐2 (wheat bran, soybean meal and cottonseed). In the experimental diet, wet BG replaced the concentrate mixture‐2. The protozoal population, concentration of ammonia‐N and volatile fatty acids in the ruminal fluid did not differ between the control and BG diets. The molar percentage of acetic acid was significantly higher (P < 0.05) with the BG diet at 5 h after feeding. The milk yield, the percentage of protein, lactose, solids not‐fat and somatic cell counts of milk did not differ between the two diets. The percentage of milk fat tended to increase with the BG diet. The BG diet significantly increased the proportions of C18:0 and C18:1 in milk fat (P < 0.01, P < 0.05, respectively) and tended to increase that of conjugated linoleic acid.  相似文献

Analyses made of seven dairy units revealed that clinically manifest udder inflammations had occurred once or repeatedly to 23.9 per cent of all cows in their first lactation and to 34.0 percent during the fourth lactation. Cows with no clinical udder inflammation in the first and second lactations were superior by 205 kg of milk to animals in whom such inflammations developed during the second lactation. Correlation coefficients between udder health and milk yield were between -0.22 and 0.32 and were likely to suggest that in the long run improvement of the genetic potential for milk yield was accompanied by deterioration of udder health. Therefore, udder health should be included by stabilising selection in Friesian dairy cattle breeding in the GDR. A sufficient breeding potential will be left for milk yield parameters, as was shown by simulated selection experiments.  相似文献

To assess the effects of negative and positive behaviors on milk yields, this study examined the attitudes and behaviors of stockpersons toward their cows and milk yields at a farm where 15 workers milked 67 cows as rotating shift work. At a holding area when moving cows to the parlor, stockperson behaviors were observed at 34 milkings. Behaviors were classified as negative (NEG) or positive (POS): NEG were attempts to move cows using touching (NT), vocalization (NV), and gestures (NG); POS were communications without attempting to move cows, consisting of touch (PT) or vocalization (PV). Numbers of NV and NEG were negatively correlated with milk yields of first parity (p < .05). Average milk yields of first parity and all cows were higher when PT were observed (p < .001, p < .0001) and POS were observed (p < .001 and p < .0001). Numbers of PT were positively correlated with milk yields of first parity (p < .05). Average milk yields of second parity were higher when PV was observed (p < .01). Positive behaviors, especially touching, are related to higher herd milk yields. Negative behaviors such as negative vocalizations are related to lower yields of younger cows.  相似文献

本试验旨在研究香兰素对奶牛干物质采食量、产奶量、乳成分及血清生化指标的影响,为香兰素在奶牛生产上的开发应用提供科学依据。选取40头健康的荷斯坦奶牛进行配对,随机分为对照组和试验组,每组20头,在相同的条件下饲养。对照组饲喂牛场全混合日粮,试验组在对照组日粮基础上添加10 g/d香兰素,预试期7 d,试验期70 d。结果表明:日粮添加10 g/d香兰素对奶牛泌乳前期的干物质采食量、产奶性能无显著影响(P0.05);日粮中添加10 g/d香兰素对泌乳前期奶牛的乳成分无显著影响(P0.05);日粮中添加10 g/d香兰素对血清生化指标无显著影响(P0.05)。得出结论:在日粮中添加10 g/d香兰素对泌乳前期奶牛的生产性能及血清生化指标无显著影响。  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To determine association between exposure to Neospora caninum and milk production in dairy cows. DESIGN: Prospective observational study. Animals: 565 Holstein cows. PROCEDURE: Cows were classified as seropositive or seronegative to N. caninum within 7 days after calving by use of a kinetic ELISA. Milk production was compared between seropositive and seronegative cows. RESULTS: On the basis of 305-day mature equivalent milk production data, seropositive cows produced less milk (2.8 lb/cow per day) than did seronegative cows. In addition, analysis of results throughout the first 300 days of lactation revealed that after adjusting for effects of lactation number, calving season, clinical mastitis, and lameness, milk weight of seropositive cows was 2.5 lb/cow per day less than that of seronegative cows. CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Exposure to N. caninum was associated with a 3 to 4% decrease in milk production. A decrease in milk production of 800 lb/cow for a typical 305-day lactation represents a loss of $128/cow.  相似文献

According to a 2 × 2 crossover design, 14 Holstein dairy cows were fed two isoenergetic diets based on either grass hay (GH) or maize silage (MS). Milk samples were collected during the third week of each period, and fatty acid (FA) profiles were analyzed using gas chromatography. The data obtained were subjected to ANOVA. Dietary treatment had no effect on either dry matter intake or milk yield. Milk from animals fed the GH-diet contained lower concentrations of saturated FAs (61.9 vs. 63.4% of total FAs; P < 0.05) and higher levels of polyunsaturated FAs (PUFAs) (6.1 vs. 5.8; P < 0.01). Feeding additional hay also increased conjugated linoleic acid and n-3 FA levels and decreased C16:0 levels. Increases in both PUFAs and n-3 FAs resulted in lower (P < 0.01) atherogenic and thrombogenic indices in milk from animals fed the GH diet compared with those fed the MS diet. A complete substitution of GH for MS appeared to improve milk FA profiles, even using different types of concentrates to provide a balanced diet.

旨在研究饲粮不同粗蛋白质(CP)水平对中国荷斯坦奶牛乳尿素氮(MUN)、氮(N)消化及血液尿素氮(BUN)的影响。采用4×4拉丁方设计,16头经产中国荷斯坦奶牛随机分为4个处理。4个处理的饲粮能量相近,CP水平分别为12. 72%、13. 52%、14. 43%和15. 37%。试验分为4个周期,每个周期15 d,后5 d为样品收集期。奶样收集3 d,同时收集粪便,每期最后1 d晨饲前空腹采集血样。每天测量产奶量和干物质摄入量。结果:不同蛋白水平日粮奶牛干物质采食量(DMI)和产奶量组间差异不明显(P>0. 05),除了MUN随着饲粮CP水平的增加呈现增加趋势以外,其他乳成分影响不显著(P>0. 05),高蛋白质水平组MUN明显高于低蛋白组(P<0. 05)。随着饲粮CP水平的提高,氮的摄入量明显增加(P<0. 05),同时N的排泄量和消化率也不断增加,但组间无显著差异(P>0. 05)。BUN和MUN变化趋势基本一致,高蛋白质组的BUN明显高于低蛋白质组(P<0. 05),而对其他血液指标的影响不显著(P>0. 05)。在本试验条件下,不同蛋白质水平日粮能够影响中国荷斯坦奶牛MUN、BUN的变化,且两者变化趋势一致,而对产奶量、N消化率影响不明显,MUN可以代替BUN成为检测奶牛蛋白质营养状况的指标之一。  相似文献

Objective To evaluate the effects of length of exposure to prepartum transition diets on milk yield, fat and protein production. Design Prospective cohort study. The number of days that the cows were fed the prepartum transition diets was the exposure of interest. Procedures Holstein and Holstein x Jersey cows (n = 1008) were enrolled. Diets given in the far-off dry period (from end of lactation until approximately 3 weeks before expected parturition) consisted of ad libitum access to perennial ryegrass pastures. Prepartum transition diets included perennial ryegrass pasture, ryegrass silage, cereal hay, grain, grain by-product, protein meals, BioChlor(R), sodium monensin, virginiamycin or tylosin, MgSO(4), trace elements and vitamins. On a dry matter basis, these contained 16.0% crude protein, 4.2% rumen undegradable protein, and 9.9 mJ metabolisable energy/kg. Diets provided an estimated metabolisable protein balance of 286 g/day and dietary cation anion difference of -150 meq/kg dry matter. Statistical models controlled for effects of herd, calving day, breed, age and gestation period. Results Increasing length of exposure to the prepartum transition diets significantly increased the 4.0% fat- and 3.2% protein-corrected milk yield and milk-protein yield as a linear and quadratic effect. The optimal duration of exposure to the prepartum transition diets was 25 days for fat- and protein-corrected milk production and 22 days for milk protein production. Milk-fat percentage decreased significantly and linearly with increasing exposure to the prepartum transition diets; however, milk-fat yield or milk-protein percentage did not vary significantly with duration of exposure to the diets. Conclusions Increasing exposure to prepartum transition diets increased milk and milk-protein yields and decreased the milk fat-percentage, but not the milk-protein percentage or milk-fat yield.
