In N balance experiments with a total 59 growing female pigs in the live weight range of 33 to 55 kg the lysine efficiency (bc-1 value) and the lysine efficiency coefficient (kLys) of various cereal proteins were ascertained under the consideration of various charges and varieties. The range of kLys = 0.65 ... 0.96 shows a wide spectrum of lysine efficiency, which results in an analogous differentiation of the derived lysine requirement values. Assuming kLys = 1.0 (lysine efficiency 100%, i.e. the maximum value for bc-1 found as yet for native proteins) a daily lysine requirement (efficient amino acid) of 8.9, 10.8 and 12.6 g resp. was ascertained for 100 g daily protein retention at 30, 40 and 50 kg live weight resp. 相似文献

The methionine/cystine efficiency of ten protein sources including that of different charges of the same protein source was ascertained in N balance experiments with a total of 60 female pigs in the live weight range of 35-50 kg. The variability of the derived sulfur amino acids (SAS) efficiency coefficient (Csas) ranged between 0.64... 0.91 based on the SAS efficiency of casein as a standard. There was an analogous differentiation for the derived requirement values on the basis of the analysed methionine/cystine values of the proteins. For a protein retention of 100 g/day and a live weight of 40 kg, 6.2g methionine/cystine was ascertained based on the highest SAS efficiency (Csas = 1) as yet. 相似文献

With the help of an N utilization model by Gebhardt (1963) and its further development the threonine efficiency coefficients (kThr) of wheat, barley, maize, rye and peanut oil meal of different charges with a supply of L-lysine monohydrochloride, DL-methionine and DL-tryptophan was ascertained with a total of 59 female pigs of the local breed (35-45 kg live weight) by means of an N balance method. The variation range of kThr was between 0.61 and 0.87 based on a threonine effectivity of wheat gluten with lysine as standard. The derived threonine requirement for 100 g daily protein retention with a live weight of 40 kg was ascertained as 6.9 g (kThr = 1) and 9.6 kg (kThr = 0.71 as mean values of the protein sources studied). The proof of threonine limitation in the protein sources was provided by the supplementation of DL threonine. 相似文献

On the basis of 87 N balance trials with growing female pigs the possibility of deriving lysine effectivity coefficients according to the difference method for proteins rich in lysine, based on proven additive relations for amino acid effectivity coefficients (Liebert et al., 1987b). The results from 9 proteins of various charges show that nutrition-physiologically relevant conclusions for lysine effectivity could be drawn under the conditions chosen. Thus the range of application of the chosen method of the registration of the effective amino acid quota in feed proteins could be significantly extended. 相似文献

In N-balance experiments with growing pigs (40-60 kg live weight) investigations were made whether lysine or isoleucine that is infused into the caecum can be absorbed there and to what extent these amino acids in that case can be utilised by the animal for protein synthesis. The pigs either received basic rations with insufficient lysine or isoleucine resp. (negative control group) or the amounts of lysine and isoleucine lacking to meet the requirement were supplemented with the feed (positive control group) or continuously infused into the caecum with the help of caecal infusion cannulae (test group). In the experiments with lysine the animals in the negative control group and in the test group showed considerably lower N-balances than the positive control group. There were no differences as regards the apparent digestibility of lysine between the positive control group and the test group. The urine of the test group contained distinctly more NH3. This shows clearly that lysine that is infused into the caecum cannot be utilised by the pigs, it is, on the contrary, microbially decomposed, the nitrogen is chiefly absorbed as NH3 and excreted in urine. As regards isoleucine, the deficit brought about with the basic ration was insufficient in order to achieve significant differences between the N-balance values of the groups so that unambiguous statements on the absorption and utilisation of isoleucine infused into the caecum cannot be made. Concerning apparent digestibility of isoleucine and the NH3 content of the urine, the results of the isoleucine experiments were similar to those in the lysine experiments. According to our N-balance experiments the isoleucine requirement of pigs indicated in relevant literature as 5.6 g/kg dry matter of the feed is by far too high. It should be limited to 3.5 or a maximum of 4.0 g isoleucine per kg dry matter of the feed. 相似文献

Two N balance experiments were conducted on growing pigs to study the effect of essential and nonessential amino acids added to a protein-free diet on N retention. In Expt. 1, the addition of sulphur amino acids, threonine and tryptophan to a protein-free diet at levels two times the maintenance requirements reduced (p > 0.1) daily N loss from –131 to –108 mg/kg0.75 . A further addition of nonessential amino acids equivalent to 250 mg N/kg0.75 /d resulted in a marked increase (p < 0.01) in daily N retention to 28 mg/kg0.75 . In Expt. 2, nonessential amino acids were added to a protein-free diet supplemented with sulphur amino acids, threonine and tryptophan at levels corresponding to 100, 200 and 300 mg N/kg0.75 /d. N retention increased linearly as dietary nonessential N increased. The slope of the best-fit regression line indicated that the marginal efficiency of nonessential N utilization for protein accretion was 0.26. The results suggest that nonessential amino acids may be a limiting factor for the re-utilization of amino acids released by body protein breakdown or that they may serve as precursors for de novo synthesis of amino acids by gut microorganisms, thus contributing to the amino acid requirements of the pig. 相似文献

A series of N balance experiments using growing pigs was conducted to study the efficiency of utilization of lysine, threonine, sulphur amino acids and tryptophan and to estimate their maintenance requirements. Purified diets based on casein and crystalline amino acids as the sole source of N contained graded levels of each amino acid, corresponding to expected protein accretion rate of 0, 33, 66, 99 and 132 g/day, respectively. N retention increased linearly (p < 0.01) as the dietary concentration of the limiting amino acid increased. Based on linear regression equations relating amino acid deposition in body protein to amino acid intake, marginal efficiencies of ileal digestible amino acid utilization were calculated to be lysine 0.91, threonine 0.83, sulphur amino acids 0.85 and tryptophan 0.66. Extrapolating the regression equations to zero N retention, the daily requirements of amino acids for N equilibrium were estimated to be (mg/kg(0.75)) lysine 39, threonine 49, sulphur amino acids 46 and tryptophan 16. 相似文献

Lysine (Lys) is the first limiting amino acid (AA) in most feed formulations for pigs and most abundant, along with leucine, in muscle proteins. An experiment was conducted with 17 pigs (17.7 ± 0.05 kg initial BW) to identify a role of dietary Lys in the control of protein synthesis in pigs. Fourteen pigs were randomly assigned to one of the two wheat‐based dietary treatments: Lys‐deficient, 3.0 g/kg (DEF) and Lys‐adequate, 10.8 g/kg (ADE). Samples from jejunum mucosa, liver, Longissumus and Semitendinosus muscles, and blood were collected. The other three pigs were sacrificed at the beginning of the trial to measure basal carcass composition. Weight gain, gain:feed ratio, Lys intake and loin eye area were greater in ADE than in DEF pigs (p < 0.01). Muscle‐related carcass characteristics were better, and myosin heavy chain IIb expression (MyHC IIb) in Semitendinosus was higher in ADE than in DEF pigs. Expression of AA transporters CAT‐1 was lower (p < 0.05), serum Lys was higher and serum Val was lower in pigs fed the ADE diet. The higher muscularity, MyHC IIb expression in Semitendinosus muscle and Lys serum of pigs fed the ADE diet suggest that Lys increases growth rate not only by functioning as protein construction unit but also as potential control of the protein synthesis process. 相似文献

This study investigated the effects of supplementation of various sources of Met and Lys on nutrient digestion, N utilization, and duodenal AA flows in growing goats. Four 4-mo-old Liuyang Black wether goats were used in a 4 x 4 Latin square experiment and were assigned to 4 dietary treatments: (1) control, (2) control + lipid-coated Met-Zn chelate and Lys-Mn chelate (PML), (3) control + Met-Zn chelate and Lys-Mn chelate (CML), and (4) control + dl-Met, l-Lys-HCl, ZnSO(4).7H(2)O, and MnSO(4).H(2)O (FML). Compared with control, PML reduced (P < 0.05) ruminal NH(3) concentration, urinary N excretion, and plasma urea N concentration and increased (P < 0.05) the activity of ruminal endo-1,4-beta-d-glucanase and beta-glucosidase, the duodenal flow of N, N retention (g/d as well as % of absorbed N), the duodenal flows of Met, Lys, His, Val, and total essential AA, and plasma concentrations of Lys, Val, Phe, and total essential AA. Supplementing Zn-Met and Mn-Lys chelates had similar (P > 0.05) but lesser effects on these measures compared with PML, and the effects on most of the measures were not statistically significant (P > 0.05) when compared with control. Supplementing free-form Met and Lys had no effects compared with control (P > 0.05). The results indicate that lipid coating and chelating of AA provide a protection, and to a lesser extent by only chelating, of the AA from microbial degradation in the rumen and possibly has effects on rumen fermentation, which increases MP supply. This technology could improve productive performance and be of potential benefit to ruminant production if cost-effective products are developed. 相似文献

Over a period of 4 days 15N-labelled lysine was infused into two growing female pigs (live weight approximately 50 kg) through a caecal cannula. The feeding was restrictive (1,400 g dry matter/day) and, with regard to lysine, it didn't meet the requirement. In a 7-day experiment the N- and 15N-content was measured periodically in the excretions (feces and urine), in various fractions of the blood and in selected slaughtering samples. From the infused 15N 3-5% are excreted as lysine in feces, another 5% are in other amino acids of the bacteria protein. The disappearance rate of 15N' from the large intestine makes greater than or equal to 90%. The biggest part of this 15N (78-88%) is excreted with the urine in form of 15N-urea. Obviously the infused amino acid is decomposed to NH3 in the large intestine and then absorbed. The absorbed ammonia is changed into urea in the ornithine cycle and excreted in urine. The recovery rate of the 15N infused as 15N-lysine is 93 and 84% resp. Incorporation of 15N in to serum protein or other body protein could not be detected so that the remaining difference of 7-16% cannot necessarily be interpreted as incorporation rate of 15N into the body protein. Under practical conditions the maximal utilisation of lysine from the feed in the large intestine is 1.6% and should thus be without importance. 相似文献

Eight digestion trials were conducted with pigs fitted with ileal T-cannulas to determine the apparent digestibilities of N and amino acids in common protein feedstuffs. Trial-to-trial variation was minimal as determined by the variation in digestibilities for soybean meal, which was evaluated in each trial. Apparent digestibilities varied widely; ileal N digestibility ranged from 88 to 63%, and ileal lysine digestibility ranged from 93 to 40%. In general, ring-dried blood meal, corn gluten meal, Menhaden fish meal, poultry-by-product meal and extruded whole soybeans were the most digestible, followed by canola meal, sunflower meal, peanut meal and meat and bone meal. Cottonseed meal and feather meal were the least digestible. Mean values for each feedstuff agree well with published data. Variation in digestibilities among samples of the same feedstuff was greater for the meat and bone meals. Regression of ileal essential amino acid digestibilities on ileal and fecal N digestibility indicated that amino acid digestibilities can be predicted more precisely from ileal N digestibility than from fecal N digestibility. However, neither ileal nor fecal N digestibility could be used with a high degree of certainty to predict ileal amino acid digestibilities. 相似文献

The gain in structural matter had a linear course with a corresponding feeding intensity and depending on the period of fattening. However, the animals given high-energy diets deposited 130 g protein per day during the first fattening period, this deposition being compensated in the course of further growth by a considerably lower deposition in the sense of aequifinality. Up to a live weight of 70 kg, animals subjected first to restricted feeding and then to fully balanced feeding revealed the highest protein deposition during the last period of fattening, this fact emphasizing the leanmeat character of the animal material used. The daily fat deposition was found clearly determined by energy intake and independent of amino acid supply. Lysine conversion was influenced by the intake of lysine and energy. Under feeding to norm it reached some 40 and 30% during the first and second periods of fattening, respectively. 相似文献

Although AA requirements for the mean of a population of growing pigs have been established using traditional methods, there are no estimates of the variability within the population and whether this variation differs among AA. With the increased use of supplemental Lys in pig diets, there will be an increased need to supplement Met, commonly the second or third limiting AA in corn-soybean diets. The indicator AA oxidation method allows repeated measurements in a short period of time so that the AA requirement can be determined for individual pigs at a similar physiological stage. The objective of this study was to determine the mean Met requirement in individual gilts and to estimate the related variability. Six individually housed female pigs (initial BW = 8.8 kg, SD 1.5) each received diets providing 6 levels of dl-Met. The isonitrogenous and isoenergetic diets contained 0.187, 0.250, 0.290, 0.320, 0.350, and 0.377% Met (analyzed, as-fed basis). Cysteine (0.48%) and Lys (1.44%) concentrations were similar for all diets. Pigs were adapted for 6 d to the basal corn-soybean meal diet (0.187% Met), which was offered at 95 g/kg(0.75) of BW to ensure complete consumption of the test diets. During 4-h oxidation studies, 313.4 kBq, (SD 35.6) of L-[1-(14)C]Phe was mixed with each of 8 half-hourly meals, and expired CO(2) was collected. The breakpoint in Phe oxidation, representing the Met requirement, and its variability, was determined using 2-phase linear regression. Phenylalanine oxidation decreased as the Met content increased from 0.187 to 0.29%. Phenylalanine oxidation was not different (P > 0.2) for diets ranging from 0.320 to 0.377% Met. The dietary Met requirement varied from 0.320 to 0.373% for individual pigs. The mean Met requirement for individual pigs was determined to be 0.340% of diet (SD = 0.024%, CV= 7.1%), with 0.340, 0.364, and 0.388% covering the requirement of 50, 66, and 95% of the population, respectively. The present mean population estimate was similar to the recommended dietary Met concentration of 0.325% for pigs of this BW and feed intake. To maximize profitability, Met levels in starter pig diets should be determined, depending on the cost of crystalline Met and the fraction of the population whose requirement is to be met. 相似文献

In 57 N-balance experiments with castrated male pigs (20 ... 65 kg live weight) the influence of graded lysine supplements to crushed barley enriched with energy, minerals and vitamins on nitrogen metabolism and lysine effectiveness was tested. Close correlative relations between lysine concentration and the b-value, the NPU-value, N-balance and N-excretion in urine could be detected. In agreement with the law of minimum a constant lysine effectiveness could be observed within the limiting range. The supplemented synthetic lysine distinguished itself by the same effectiveness as the protein-bound barley lysine. When barley supplemented with lysine is used, an amount of lysine supplement should be chosen from the point of view of nutrition physiology which raises the total lysine content to a maximum level of 6.3 g/16 g N because lysine supplementation exceeding this value without the simultaneous supplementation of limiting threonine remains ineffective. 相似文献

The relationship between available threonine (Thr) intake and whole-body protein deposition (PD) was established using the serial slaughter method in 36 individually housed growing gilts between 39 and 77 kg live BW. Pigs were prescreened for their maximum PD (PDmax), based on a N balance starting at 25 kg BW while they consumed semi-ad libitum a nonlimiting diet. Pigs were fed combinations of a casein and cornstarch-based diet that was confirmed to be first-limiting in Thr and a protein-free diet starting at approximately 30 kg BW. Casein-bound Thr was provided at 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, or 120% of estimated Thr requirements for PDmax. Energy intake was kept constant across treatments and exceeded requirements for PDmax. Pigs were fed three equal meals per day; feeding levels were adjusted weekly based on BW. Pigs were killed at either 39 kg BW (n = 2 per treatment) or 77 kg BW (n = 4 per treatment) for determining chemical body composition. Composition of 39-kg BW pigs was not different across treatments (P > 0.10); therefore, an overall mean initial body composition was used to estimate body protein content at the initial BW. Across treatments, mean daily ME intake was 25.3 (SE 0.08) MJ/d and did not differ (P > 0.10) among treatments. Average daily true ileal digestible Thr intake varied between 5.33 and 9.66 g/d, representing means for pigs on the lowest and the highest Thr intakes, respectively. Mean PD was 93, 102, 118, 124, 139, and 133 (SE 4.2) g/d for pigs on the six respective treatments. Dietary Thr intake did not influence (P > 0.10) Thr content of body protein at the final BW or the partitioning of body protein between carcass, viscera, and blood. The efficiency of Thr utilization for PD was lowest (P < 0.05) at the highest Thr intake level and highest (P < 0.05) at the lowest Thr intake level. It was similar (P > 0.10) at the four intermediate Thr intake levels, in which the relationship between true ileal digestible Thr intake and PD was linear. Based on these four treatments, calculated Thr disappearance, which is closely associated with inevitable Thr catabolism, was 23.5 (SE 0.55)% of available Thr intake. This value is consistent with an efficiency of using available Thr intake above maintenance Thr requirements (54 mg/kg BW0.75) for Thr retention with PD of 73.4 (SE 1.11)%. Based on N balances conducted at approximately 40 and 75 kg BW, the marginal efficiency of Thr utilization was not influenced by BW. 相似文献

The influence of protein deficiency, rehabilitation and total starvation on the free amino acid levels in the blood plasma of pigs has been investigated. It was found that the concentration of most amino acids was reduced during protein deficiency. The levels of leucine, isoleucine and valine were diminished by the greatest proportion, followed by threonine, tyrosine and citrulline. During the first few weeks of protein deficiency the levels of lysine, histidine and arginine were slightly increased, but later decreased below control values. Concentrations of glycine and alanine were altered in a similar way except that the initial increase was much more pronounced. The concentrations of most of these amino acids returned to control levels after rehabilitation. Total starvation led to an increase in concentration of leucine, isoleucine, valine, threonine and to a smaller extent phenylalanine, lysine, citrulline and arginine. The concentration of glycine, alanine and glutamic acid were very much reduced. The level of urea in the circulation dropped reversibly during protein deficiency and increased very much during total starvation. 相似文献

Two N balance studies were conducted to investigate the effects of feeding graded levels of pectin (a soluble nonstarch polysaccharide, NSP) on the utilization of ileal digestible threonine (Thr; Thr study) and lysine (Lys; Lys study) intake for body protein deposition (PD) in growing pigs. In each study, eight Yorkshire barrows with an average initial BW of 17.2 +/- 1.3 (Thr study) and 14.3 +/- 1.4 kg (Lys study) were fed each of five experimental diets during five subsequent experimental periods, according to a crossover design. Pigs were fed twice daily at 2.6 times maintenance energy requirements. The soybean- and cornstarch-based diets, in which either Thr or Lys was the first-limiting nutrient, were formulated to contain (as-fed basis) 0, 4, 8, or 12% pectin or 8% cellulose (water-insoluble NSP), respectively, and with NSP substituting cornstarch. Across treatments, the mean daily Thr and Lys intake were 5.42 +/- 0.04 g/d (Thr study) and 7.98 +/- 0.12 g/d (Lys study), respectively. Apparent and standardized ileal digestibilities of Thr and Lys were determined in a separate study. Mean PD was 93.4, 90.2, 82.1, 76.7, and 87.9 g/d (SEM = 1.3; Thr study) and 90.7, 88.6, 87.8, 85.3, and 88.1 g/d (SEM = 1.1; Lys study) for the five respective treatments. Utilization of ileal digestible Thr intake, but not of ileal digestible Lys intake, for PD decreased linearly with dietary pectin level, and was not influenced by diet cellulose level. The current study indicates that apparent and standardized ileal digestibility values do not provide an accurate predictor of dietary effects on the utilization of ileal digestible Thr intake for protein deposition in growing pigs fed diets containing soluble NSP. 相似文献

Additivity of standardized ileal digestibility of amino acids in mixed diets containing multiple protein sources for growing pigs fed three crude protein levels 下载免费PDF全文

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary crude protein (CP) levels of semi‐purified diets on the additivity of values for standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of amino acids (AA) in mixed diets from multiple protein sources for growing pigs. A total of 28 barrows (initial BW, 66.4 ± 1.3 kg) were surgically fitted with simple T‐cannulas at the distal ileum and assigned to a replicated 14 × 4 incomplete Latin square design with 14 diets and 4 periods. The 14 experimental diets consisted of a nitrogen‐free diet; a corn‐based diet (80 g CP/kg); nine semi‐purified diets containing soya bean meal (SBM), canola meal (CM) or corn distillers dried grains with solubles (cDDGS), each type (protein source) of semi‐purified diets supplied 80, 120 or 160 g CP/kg, respectively; three mixed diets based on corn, SBM, CM and cDDGS formulated to contain 120, 160 and 200 g CP/kg respectively. Pigs were fed each of the 14 diets during a seven‐day period, and ileal digesta were collected from 08:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m on day 6 and 7. Chromic oxide was added as an indigestible marker. Results indicated that the SID of CP and AA were not affected by CP levels (p > .05). Values for SID of AA were additive (p > .05) with the exception of His and Lys; Arg and Lys; Arg, Lys, Thr, Asp, Cys and Gly in the mixed diets containing 120, 160 and 200 g CP/kg respectively (p < .05). In conclusion, additivity of SID values of AA in the mixed diets at different CP levels was not affected by the CP levels of semi‐purified diets for growing pigs. Therefore, it is recommended that SID values of AA should be used to formulate practical diets containing multiple ingredients for pigs. 相似文献
