Calcium (Ca) has an important role in plant physiology, including involvement in the responses to salt stress, and controls numerous processes. To overcome the negative impact of high salinity, the addition of supplemental Ca to the growth medium as an ameliorative agent could be necessary. Atriplex halimus subsp. schweinfurthii and Atriplex canescens subsp. linearis were grown in hydroponic conditions to investigate the effectiveness of supplementary calcium chloride (CaCl2) applied into nutrient solution on plants grown at high (400 mM) sodium chloride (NaCl) concentration. Treatments were: 1) nutrient solution alone [control (C)]; 2) nutrient solution plus 400 mM sodium chloride (NaCl); and 3) nutrient solution and 400 mM NaCl plus supplementary 40 mM CaCl2 supplied in nutrient solution (NaCl + CaCl2). The experiment was set up as a completely randomized design, consisting of two species (A. halimus and A. canescens), three treatments (control, NaCl, and NaCl + CaCl2), and five replicates. Dry weight and chlorophyll content of plants grown at high NaCl were lower than those at normal nutrient solution. Supplementary CaCl2 ameliorated the negative effects of salinity on plant growth in both species. Root hydraulic conductivity (L 0) decreased with elevated NaCl and increased with supplementary CaCl2 compared to the stressed plants. Membrane permeability increased with high NaCl application and these increases in root membrane permeability decreased with supplementary CaCl2 compared to the NaCl treatment. Sodium (Na) concentration in plant tissues increased in both species in high NaCl level. Application of supplementary CaCl2 lowered Na concentration. Concentrations of calcium (Ca) and potassium (K) were at deficient ranges in the plants grown at high NaCl levels and these deficiencies were corrected by supplementary CaCl2.  相似文献

We examined aquatic macroinvertebrate assemblages in six Arkansas low-order streams across three ecoregions. Samples were taken at locations above and below silviculture sites using Best Management Practices (BMPs) and were compared in winter and spring for 1 year prior to logging and 2 years after treatments. Implementation at all sites scored between 89 and 100% in compliance assessments using state BMP guidelines. Deficiencies were generally limited to engineering controls designed to prevent soil erosion; however, no clear evidence of sedimentation was observed in any of the study streams. Water quality variables were similar between sites upstream and downstream of the harvests in all survey periods. Analysis of variance did not indicate reduced taxonomic richness that could clearly be attributed to silviculture operations, but did reveal several significant differences in relative abundance variables that could be associated with negative impacts, primarily at a single site. Euclidean distance indicated that macroinvertebrate assemblage similarity between reference and treatment stations decreased after treatments at two additional study sites. At most sites, however, there was not an assemblage shift from organisms using coarse particulate organic matter as the primary food source to those using fine particulate organic matter downstream of the harvests. Our results indicated that BMPs were moderately to strongly effective in protecting water quality and biological integrity in five of the six study streams.  相似文献

We examined the effects of an amended mixture of three pesticides, atrazine (72.7?g), S-metolachlor (54.5?g), and permethrin (both cis and trans isomers; 11.4?g), on 10-day sediment toxicity to Hyalella azteca in a managed natural backwater wetland after a simulated agricultural runoff event. Sediment samples were collected at 10, 40, 100, 300, and 500?m from inflow 13?days prior to amendment and 1, 5, 12, 22, and 36?days post-amendment. Background pesticide concentrations ranged from <1 to 977, <1 to 119, and <1 to 2???g?kg?1, for atrazine, S-metolachlor, and permethrin, respectively. Average post-amendment atrazine and S-metolachlor were 2,915?C3,927 and 3?C20???g?kg?1, respectively at 10?C40?m and 538?C872 and <1???g?kg?1, respectively at 300?C500?m. Average post-amendment permethrin was 65?C200???g?kg?1 at 10?C40?m and 1?C10???g?kg?1 at 300?C500?m. H. azteca 10-day survival varied spatially and temporally up to 100?m from inflow. Animal growth, independent of survival, was reduced 40 and 100?m from inflow on day?36, showing continued sediment toxicity of up to 100?m from inflow more than 1?month after amendment. Animal survival and growth were unaffected at 300 and 500?m from inflow throughout the study period. Correlations of pesticide concentrations and H. azteca responses indicated that observed sediment toxicity was primarily from permethrin with potential additional synergistic toxicity from atrazine and methyl parathion. Study results indicate that natural backwater wetlands can be managed to ameliorate pesticide mixture 10-day sediment toxicity to H. azteca within 300?m of inflow and smaller wetlands (??100?m) may require several months of effluent retention to mitigate effects.  相似文献

The aim of the present work was to determine the influence of different CaCl(2) dosages on foliar biomass and quality of tobacco plants (Nicotiana tabacum L. var. Tennesse 86). Plants were grown under controlled conditions and submitted to regular fertilization with macro- and micronutrients. The CaCl(2) was applied to the nutrient solution at 1.25 mM (T1), 2.5 mM (T2), and 5 mM (T3). The results indicated that, under the experimental conditions of this work, the application of 1.25 mM of CaCl(2) favored the growth and development of the leaves, this leading to improved biomass production in tobacco leaves. The increase in foliar biomass in treatment T1 could largely be a result of the stimulation of NO(3)(-) assimilation. However, this situation has negative consequences for tobacco quality, given that the T1 treatment augmented the NO(3)(-) concentration and the foliar concentration of nicotine (both effects being harmful for human consumption) and decreased the concentration of reducing sugars in leaves of tobacco plants compared with those of T2 and T3. Finally, a close and directly proportional relationship was found in our experiment between the parameters of foliar-biomass production, total N concentration, chlorophyll concentration, and decline in quality.  相似文献

Communities of aquatic macroinvertebrates, fish density and biomass, and environmental variables were investigated in three Patagonian mountain rivers affected by urbanization. The rivers Las Minas, Esquel and Carbón that flow through the towns of Cholila, Esquel and Corcovado, respectively (northwest Chubut, Argentina) were selected to assess the degree of impairment. A reference site and an urban site were established on each river. Water quality variables including conductivity, major nutrients, total suspended solids (TSS) and dissolved oxygen, habitat conditions and quality of riparian ecosystems were investigated in autumn, winter, spring and summer 2005–2006. Macroinvertebrates were sampled concurrently in three riffles and three pools at each site. Invertebrate species richness, EPT richness, the Shannon–Weaver diversity index, % EPT density, and the BMPS index were lower at urban sites, whereas % collectors increased. The most impaired site was below Esquel, the largest town. Senzilloides panguipulli (Plecoptera), Polypedilum and Rheotanytarsus species (Diptera: Chironomidae), Nais communis (Oligochaeta) and Meridialaris chiloeensis (Ephemeroptera) dominated assemblages at reference and moderately impaired sites in summer, whereas the strongly polluted reach below Esquel had low flow in summer and a community dominated by Limnodrilus spp. (Oligochaeta), Helobdella spp. (Hirudinea), and two Hyallela species (Amphipoda). Canonical correspondence analysis indicated that ammonia, conductivity and TSS were important variables structuring invertebrate assemblages. In contrast, fish density and biomass varied in a non-systematic manner among sites. Overall, urbanization resulted in varying degrees of habitat degradation, sedimentation and nutrient enrichment that were reflected by the macroinvertebrate assemblages, which can be used effectively to monitor the effects of urban communities on Patagonian mountain streams.  相似文献

天然高分子多肽衍生物Jag C162是一种新型高聚物,研究其对黄土坡面径流过程的影响可为土壤侵蚀的化学调控技术提供新的理论依据。通过室内人工模拟降雨试验,在不同坡度(10°,15°,20°)、降雨强度(1,1.5,2 mm/min)、Jag C162不同撒施剂量(0,1,3,5 g/m2)的组合条件下,研究了Jag C162对坡面径流过程的调控效应。结果表明:(1)撒施中(3 g/m2)、小剂量(1 g/m2)Jag C162的初始产流时间相对裸坡显著滞后(p<0.05),大剂量(5 g/m2)的初始产流时间则显著提前(p<0.05)。(2)不同剂量Jag C162的坡面径流率随径流过程的变化大致趋势为由快速增长逐渐趋于缓慢递增状态。不同剂量Jag C162径流率的大小顺序为:裸土>1 g/m2>5 g/m2>3 g/m2。(3)Jag C162会显著改善>0.25 mm土壤水稳性团聚体含量,显著提高各粒级土壤水稳性团聚体的含量(p<0.05),尤以1~2,2~5,>5 mm粒径的团聚体含量的提高幅度大。因此,Jag C162可显著改善土壤团聚体结构,提高土壤入渗性能,减少地表径流量,从而减弱侵蚀发生的径流动力,达到调控土壤侵蚀的目的。  相似文献

A Spanish type of dry fermented sausage, Chorizo de Pamplona, was manufactured with a mixture of (2.29%) different salts (NaCl, KCl, and CaCl(2)) with an equivalent ionic strength to that of the control manufactured with 2.6% NaCl. The use of this salt mixture affected the texture profile analysis (TPA), giving rise to a significant reduction in hardness, cohesiveness, gumminess and chewiness. Instrumental color values showed higher b (yellowness) and L (lightness) values. Sensory texture and color intensity yielded lower scores, but they were classified as acceptable. Principal component analysis was carried out with the instrumental measures. The two principal components explained 76.9% of the variance. Modified and control samples were separated by the first component, which explained 57.1% of the variance and was defined basically by texture parameters.  相似文献

为了正确认识生草覆盖对果园面源污染的防控作用和推进生态果园建设,采用模拟试验的方法,研究了果园生草覆盖、生草刈割和清耕3种管理措施对氮素表层累积及其流失特性的影响。结果表明:鼠茅草大量腐解时期(9月)生草覆盖处理土壤表层(0—1cm)矿质氮含量分别是生草刈割和清耕处理的2.6倍和4.5倍,与此同时,果园生草覆盖处理径流液中矿质氮浓度相比刈割和清耕处理分别提高42.6%和20.9%;与清耕相比,生草覆盖使降雨地表径流量显著降低88.3%~98.7%,渗漏量增加42.1%~97.6%。综合3次降雨,生草覆盖使矿质氮的径流损失比清耕降低90%,并且增加深层(25cm)渗漏89.6%。综上可见,虽然果园生草覆盖增加快速降解时期矿质态氮表层累积数量,但减少径流水损失效果显著,进而明显减少氮素径流损失,提高果园土壤的保水保肥能力,对解决坡地果园面源污染问题意义重大。  相似文献

随着外源酸输入,酸性土壤改良剂的石灰效应逐渐消退,土壤再次酸化形成铝毒害。作为一种新型酸性土壤改良剂,生物质炭施用后土壤的复酸化过程尚不清楚。本研究通过循环酸浸洗耦合根伸长试验,对比研究了施用生物质炭和熟石灰(Ca(OH)2)后土壤的复酸化过程及其对植物的铝毒性。结果表明,循环酸浸洗有效模拟了土壤的复酸化过程。随着模拟酸化年限增加,生物质炭和Ca(OH)2处理土壤中玉米根系伸长均逐渐受到了抑制。生物质炭相较于Ca(OH)2有效缓解了酸化过程对植物根系的抑制作用。在模拟12年酸输入时,生物质炭处理中玉米根相对伸长率较Ca(OH)2处理高18.6%,生物质炭相较于Ca(OH)2处理展现出更为长效的酸性土壤改良潜力。这一方面是由于生物质炭通过表面阴离子官能团质子化作用减缓了酸化过程中土壤pH的降低,抑制了土壤铝的活化。在模拟12年酸输入时,生物质炭处理土壤溶液Al3+浓度较Ca(OH)2处理低33%。另一方面,酸化过程中生物质炭持续释放Mg2+,在模拟12年酸输入时,生物质炭处理土壤溶液Mg2+浓度和植物Mg2+吸收量均较Ca(OH)2处理高2倍以上。较高的Mg2+浓度可通过调控植物对Al3+的生理响应,缓解植物铝毒害症状。该研究结果可为土壤酸化长效阻控提供理论依据和技术支撑。  相似文献

[目的]研究降雨量、降雨强度、降雨历时等降雨因子对沂蒙山区小流域不同土地利用方式径流小区产流产沙的影响,为该区水土流失防治、水土保持规划、生态建设等提供参考。[方法]对沂蒙山区不同土地利用方式径流小区(自然荒坡和荞麦、野生牧草和花生)两两对照并且进行连续3a的定位观测,对观测数据进行统计分析和显著性检验。[结果](1)降雨量与各径流小区产流量的相关性显著(p0.01),与荞麦小区和花生小区产沙量的相关性显著(p0.01),与自然荒坡小区和野生牧草小区的产沙量相关性较差。(2)平均降雨强度(I)与各径流小区的产流量和产沙量的相关性均不显著。10 min最大降雨强度(I10)和30min最大降雨强度(I30)与各径流小区产流量以及荞麦小区、花生小区的产沙量均具有较好的相关性,其中30min最大降雨强度(I30)的相关性最好。(3)降雨历时与荞麦径流小区的产流量和产沙量相关性显著(p0.01),与其他径流小区的产流量和产沙量虽皆呈正相关但相关性均不显著。[结论]降雨量(P),10min最大降雨强度(I10),尤其是30min最大降雨强度(I30),降雨历时等降雨因子在沂蒙山区坡面产流产沙过程中都起到了不同程度的作用,不同的土地利用方式也是影响坡面产流产沙的重要因子。  相似文献

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of various steeping periods on the physical and sensory properties of yukwa, which is a traditional Korean oil‐puffed snack made of waxy rice, using milled waxy rices (cv. Shinsunchalbyeo) steeped for 0, 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 days. As the steeping period changed from 0 to 15 days, the cross‐sectional area and expansion ratio of yukwa evaluated by image analysis significantly increased from 226 to 437 mm2 and from 805 to 1,874%, respectively. Conversely, the ratio of length to height and density of yukwa significantly decreased with an increase in steeping period duration. The Hunter a value of yukwa tended to increase, whereas b value tended to decrease, as steeping period increased. Among the mechanical textural parameters, hardness was greatly affected by the steeping period range, with values ranging from 1,358 to 25,514 dyne/cm2. Sensory results showed that sour aroma, color uniformity, and original flavor tended to increase, but hardness, crispiness, color roughness, oil flavor, and oil aroma tended to decrease in yukwa with the longer steeping period. From these observations, it can be concluded that the steeping period of waxy rice has an influence on the physical and sensory properties of yukwa.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Responses of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) to chloride vary according to tobacco types, cultivars, and methods of fertilization, cultivation, and harvesting used. Until now, research has focused on types other than Oriental. In this work, the effect of chloride concentration (10 to 80 mg L?1) in irrigation water on growth and agronomic and chemical characteristics of Oriental tobacco was evaluated with a three-year (1999–2001) outdoor pot experiment. Whether Oriental tobacco cultivars, aromatic and neutral, respond differently to chloride was also investigated. The results showed that the influence of chloride on growth-development and total cured leaves yield on Oriental tobacco was inconsistent and substantial only in neutral cultivars. The increased cured leaves yield in neutral cultivars with 50 mg Cl L?1 was attributed mainly to the increased size of leaves. Leaf chloride concentration increased linearly with the increase of chloride level in irrigation water, but the leaf chloride concentration and the rate of linear increase were highest in the upper leaves of the plant, and decreased gradually from the upper to the lower leaves. Generally, the optimum chloride level in irrigation water was found to be below 20 mg L?1, whereas the 40 mg L?1 level was the critical upper threshold to avoid adverse effects on Oriental tobacco. The six cultivars showed different accumulation rates of chloride in leaves, and these rates were affected differently by the increased chloride in water. The changes in chemical characteristics examined concerning cured-leaf product quality were minor. The results indicate that one may choose among cultivars, either aromatic or neutral, in order to limit the adverse effects of irrigation with water containing increased chloride concentration.  相似文献

本文通过严格一致的对比观测条件,研究和分析了地-气热交换系统的热性能及其对塑料大棚中气候环境、作物生长和产量的影响;在理论分析和实际观测的基础上计算了塑料大棚中热量平衡;从经济效益和节约能源的角度对该设施的可行性和实用性作了客观的评价。实验结果表明:地-气热交换系统可使塑料大棚在夜间升温2.0—4.4℃,在白天降温2.5—6.5℃;使作物的开花期和收获期提前大约10天,而使晚秋作物(黄瓜)延后生长约15天;草莓和黄瓜的产量分别增加了51%和45%;地-气热交换塑料大棚与对照塑料大棚的热量收支有明显的不同,在夜间对照大棚热量损失较大;从经济效益和节能效果看,该设施在华北地区和黄淮流域具有一定的可行性和实用性。  相似文献

Abstract

In this study, the effects of boron (B) and calcium (Ca) supply on Ca fractionation in suspension cells and different tissues of rape (Brassica napus L.) plants of two cultivars with different B efficiency were studied, with a purpose to elucidate the mechanism by which B affects Ca concentration in plants. As Ca supply increased in nutrient solution or culture medium, the relatively easily extractable Ca fractions, that is H2O and 80% ethanol extractable Ca in leaves, 1 mol L?1 NaCl extractable Ca in upper leaves, roots and suspension‐cell were significantly increased. While the recalcitrant Ca fractions extracted by 2% acetic acid, 0.6 mol L?1 HCl and Ca in the residue were not affected by Ca supply. Increasing B supply in nutrient solution or culture media significantly reduced 1 mol L?1NaCl extracted Ca in suspension cell and roots of both cultivars, which were most likely related to the alteration of cell wall metabolism. Calcium extracted by 2% acetic acid, 0.6 mol L?1 HCl and Ca in residue in suspension‐cell and roots of B inefficient cultivar Bakow were easily improved by B deficiency as compared to that of B efficient cultivar Tezao16. Increasing of these relative recalcitrant Ca fractions was related to the different response of cultivars to the B deficiency, which may reflected different extent that Ca deposited in the two cultivars due to impaired membrane integrity under B deficiency. The effects of B on Ca concentration in lower and upper leaves of the two cultivars were quite different and were the integrated effects of B on Ca metabolism, Ca transport in plants and growth of certain organ. Increasing B supply increased total Ca concentration in upper leaves of Bakow and reduced that of Tezao16, which might relate to the different adaptability of the two cultivars to comparatively higher B supply.  相似文献

采用盆栽试验研究了生物质炭配施不同用量化肥氮对烤烟根区土壤微生物群落功能多样性的影响。研究结果显示,添加生物质炭提高了土壤有机碳和微生物生物量碳含量;减少15%化肥氮配施生物质炭处理(T3)显著提高了土壤过氧化氢酶活性,提升了土壤新陈代谢水平。不同处理土壤微生物的碳源利用率不同,以T3处理的AWCD(平均颜色变化率)值最高,且微生物丰富度和优势度均为较高水平。主成分和热图分析表明,不同处理微生物功能差异性和优势碳源不同,其中T3处理的微生物群落功能差异性较小,优势碳源羧酸类中包含的碳源种最多。添加生物质炭可提高烟株根冠比23.06%~42.36%。因此,添加生物质炭可增强植烟土壤微生物活性,提高土壤微生物功能多样性,以减少15%化肥氮配施生物质炭效果最好。  相似文献

This study compares the enchytraeid communities in anthropogenous birch (Betula pendula) stands of different origin with each other and with natural forests at the same latitude in Finland. Nine sites were investigated: three birch stands planted ca. 30 years prior to the study after clear-cutting of spruce stands, three birch stands established ca. 30 years earlier on arable soil (cleared from earlier coniferous forest), and three natural deciduous forests. Each site was sampled three times (May, August and October) in 1999, animals were extracted using the wet funnel method, counted and identified. Non-metric multidimensional scaling (NMS) was used to analyse the communities. There were clear differences between the birch stands established after spruce forest and after cultivation, and between these and natural deciduous stands, but even more between replicates of similarly managed forests. Total numbers and populations of most species were lower in birch-after-field than in birch-after-spruce. The superdominant species in coniferous forests, Cognettia sphagnetorum, was dominant in all birch-after-spruce sites and one natural deciduous site. Enchytronia parva was the only species more abundant in birch-after-field than in birch-after-spruce. It is hypothesized that, in addition to soil acidity, accidental transport by man explains the presence of many species on a given locality, and that competition with earthworms plays a role in regulating enchytraeid abundances.  相似文献

为明确重庆渝东北植烟区土壤中交换性钙、镁养分状况与土壤属性的关联特性,为烟区养分管理提供参考依据,利用GPS定位技术在渝东北植烟区采集了1 092个代表性土壤样品,对巫溪、巫山、奉节、万州、涪陵和丰都6个区县植烟土壤交换性钙和交换性镁含量分析,同时与其他土壤属性进行关联分析。结果表明:重庆渝东北植烟土壤交换性钙、镁含量丰富,其平均值分别为10.85 cmol/kg和1.79 cmol/kg,但也存在缺乏现象,且区域分布不均衡。总体来看,土壤交换性钙缺乏(<6 cmol/kg)占比28.30%,土壤交换性镁缺乏(<1.0 cmol/kg)占比42.75%。涪陵县与丰都县的土壤交换性钙、镁缺乏最严重,占比分别为40.00%和55.00%。丰都县与万州区土壤交换性钙、镁含量最适宜烤烟种植,占比分别为42.00%和36.61%。母质是影响土壤交换性钙、镁含量的重要因素,二叠系泥灰岩发育形成的土壤交换性钙、镁含量较高,侏罗纪紫色砂岩含量最低。植烟土壤pH、阳离子交换量与交换性钙、镁存在显著正相关关系,而土壤交换性酸总量与二者呈显著负相关,交换性钙镁缺乏是引起烟田酸化的主要原因。1~2...  相似文献

Extrusion with CO2 injection was developed to simplify the process of producing vacuum‐puffed yukwa (rice snacks). The effects of feed moisture content and CO2 injection on the characteristics of extruded pellets (maximum viscosity and degree of gelatinization) and vacuum‐puffed yukwa (expansion ratio, bulk density, hardness, and color) were investigated. Higher feed moisture increased the size of vacuum‐puffed yukwa and the degree of gelatinization, whereas the maximum viscosity decreased. Maximum viscosity and gelatinization degree of extruded pellets were highly correlated with expansion ratio, bulk density, hardness, and color values of vacuum‐puffed yukwa. Increasing feed moisture content significantly increased expansion ratio but decreased bulk density and hardness. CO2 injection decreased bulk density and hardness of vacuum‐puffed yukwa.  相似文献
