The aim of this study was to determine possible links between steroidogenic activity of single ovarian cysts and response to intramuscular treatment with 20 μg of buserelin (GnRH‐analogue) after cyst emptying, in pluriparous Friesian cows bearing a singleton cyst treated not earlier than 55 days post‐partum. Progesterone, 17β‐estradiol and testosterone were determined in cystic fluids collected by needle aspiration of the cyst. Of the cows, 75.6% began ovarian cyclicity within 30 days after treatment with a conception rate of 64.7%. In this study it was found that as progesterone concentration in cystic fluids rose, the number of positive responses to the treatment fell.  相似文献

Recently, a new molecule, kisspeptin (Kp), and in particular Kisspeptin 10 (Kp10), was implicated in stimulating the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis. The aim of this study was to evaluate circulating Kp10 levels in the early post–partum period of the dairy cow. Blood samples were collected from 40 dairy cows, at 10 (T10), 12 (T12), 14 (T14) and 16 (T16) days after calving. Progesterone (P4) levels were evaluated using ELISA, and levels of oestrogens (E2) and Kp were evaluated using a radio‐immunologic method. After an initial plateau, Kp10 significantly increased at T14 and decreased at T16. The P4 and E2 mean serum values remained in the physiological range. It is likely that Kp10 enhanced hypothalamic GnRH release as well as pituitary gonadotropin secretion, thus promoting follicular growth and the increase in E2 levels, which might have further enhanced Kp10 release through a positive feedback loop. To our best knowledge, this is the first report on the range of Kp10 blood concentration during the early post–partum period in the dairy cow. The results of our study will increase our current understanding of the complex neuro‐endocrine crosstalk underlying the resumption of ovarian cyclicity in the dairy cow.  相似文献

The investigations were carried out on a total of 70 cows with puerperal endometritis. In addition to intrauterine antibiotic treatment, 30 experimental animals were administered 20 μg GnRH analogue, buserelin, between days 10 and 12 post‐partum followed by 500 μg PGF analogue, cloprostenol, 10 days later. Forty control cows were treated only with intrauterine antibiotics. Blood samples for progesterone determination were collected from the tail vein twice weekly until day 70 post‐partum. The first rise in progesterone level above 3.18 nmol/l occurred significantly earlier in the experimental than in control cows (21.6 ± 9.2 versus 27.8 ± 12.3 days; p ≤ 0.05). The duration of the first cycle post‐partum was 15.0 ± 4.3 days in experimental and 19.7 ± 7.3 days in control animals (p ≤ 0.05). However, no significant differences were observed in the occurrence of first oestrus post‐partum. The involution of the uterus was improved after hormone treatment. At day 42 post‐partum, completion of uterine involution was found in 93.3% of hormone‐treated cows and in 82.5% of those treated with antibiotic only (p ≤ 0.05). Clinical recovery was 96.6% in the experimental and 82.5% in the control group (p ≤ 0.05). First service pregnancy rate was significantly better in hormone‐treated than control cows (51.7 versus 36.4%; p ≤ 0.05). Total pregnancy rate and insemination index values were not significantly improved following GnRH and PGF treatment. The average service period was 89.8 ± 21.2 days in cows after hormone treatment, and 112.6 ± 24.5 days in control cows. The difference was statistically significant (p ≤ 0.05). These results indicate, that the sequential GnRH and PGF application in cows with puerperal endometritis positively affected ovarian function and uterine involution, resulting in improved fertility performance.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal interval between 2 consecutive milk progesterone samples for the detection of cyclicity in dairy cows. Two hundred and thirty-six postpartum periods were monitored with thrice-weekly whole milk progesterone assay. Cyclicity was determined from elevation of the progesterone level. Animals which had started to cycle by 50 or 60 days post partum were included in the study. The last of the 2 samples was taken at 50 or 60 days post partum, respectively.The lowest percentage of false diagnoses (9.0%) in cows which had started to cycle by 50 days post partum was obtained when the samples were taken at 8 days’ interval. In cows which had started to cycle by 60 days post partum the lowest percentage of false diagnoses (1.1%) was obtained when the samples were taken at 10 days’ interval.  相似文献

The present study was undertaken to show the incidence of silent ovulation in high producing dairy cows, by monitoring ovarian cyclicity based on practical milk progesterone assay which was established in this study. The direct milk progesterone enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed using anti-progesterone-3(E)-carboxymethyloxime-BSA antibody for the antibody and horse radish peroxidase labeled progesterone for tracer. High sensitivity (26 pg/mL, 0.65 pg/well), high recovery rates (83-97%), high reproducibility (CV of intra-assay 4.8-11.5%; CV of inter-assay 14.3-19.1%) and high correlation between milk progesterone concentrations measured by the direct ELISA and the values obtained by the ELISA after extraction proved the reliability of the assay. In second experiment the incidence of silent ovulation was investigated based on the milk progesterone concentrations in 32 dairy cows within 70 days post partum. The incidences of silent ovulation at the first, second, third and fourth ovulation post partum were 83, 46, 13 and 0%, respectively. Most commonly observed patterns of sequential occurrence of silent ovulation in cows ovulating 2, 3 or 4 times within 70 days post partum were silent-estrus (50%), silent-silent-estrus (60%) and silent-silent-estrus-estrus (67%), respectively. These results suggest that the present ELISA is a reliable and practically applicable method for determination of progesterone in milk and that high producing dairy cows show a high incidence of silent ovulation at the first post partum ovulation as well as the second ovulation, which then decreased with the increased frequency of ovulation.  相似文献

Thirty‐six cross‐bred cows were used to study the effect of long‐chain (flaxseed) or short‐chain (butyric acid) fatty acid supplementation on metabolic status, ovarian function and reproduction performance during transition period. Control cows received a routine feed of transition diet, while the cows in two treatment groups were supplemented with either 750‐g crushed flaxseed or 250 g butyric acid per cow per day. Ovarian activity was monitored by transrectal ultrasonography on 10th, 20th and 30th days post‐partum. Blood samples were collected by jugular venipuncture into heparinized polystyrene tubes; plasma was prepared and stored under ?20 °C until analysis. Results indicated that cows in flaxseed group were in positive energy balance as indicated by lower NEFA and Beta hydroxy Butyrate and higher glucose concentrations. Uterine involution was completed well within 30 days post‐partum in all the cows in flaxseed fed group compared to 76.9% in butyric acid supplemented and 61.5% in control groups. The size of dominant follicle and corpus luteum was significantly higher (p < 0.05) for flaxseed group compared to control group, which in turn resulted in higher concentrations of plasma progesterone. Cows fed on diets supplemented with flaxseed exhibited post‐partum heat earlier and bred sooner (p < 0.05) than control cows. It has been noticed that supplementation of flaxseed and butyric acid enhanced involution of uterus, early resumption of cyclicity and thereby early breeding. However, in view of the encouraging results obtained for flaxseed supplemented group, its organic nature and easier availability at farmer's gate, we concluded that flaxseed can be safely included in transition diet to modulate reproductive performance of dairy cattle.  相似文献

It was the aim of this study to investigate the effect of a supplementation with beta-carotene administered systemically (Carofertin) on the reproductive performance in dairy cows. One hundred cows received three injections of 20 ml Carofertin 3 to 4 weeks ante partum, 1 to 2 weeks post partum and 6 to 8 weeks post partum. Control cows (n = 101) were treated simultaneously with 20 ml 0.9% NaCl-solution. Serum concentrations of beta-carotene were determined before the first and the second beta-carotene injection, and at the time of first insemination. For all animals, serum concentrations of beta-carotene, results of puerperal controls, culling rate, culling reason, fertility parameters, progesterone production during the luteal phase, and cost per pregnancy were evaluated. Clinical examination during the puerperal phase revealed that cyclicity had started statistically significantly more often in control cows than in the cows receiving Carofertin. With regard to the other parameters, no significant group differences were found. Cost per pregnancy were higher in the Carofertin group (241.78 [symbol: see text]) than in the control group (171.40 [symbol: see text]). These results suggest that the use of Carofertin in dairy cows under the given experimental conditions for therapy or prophylaxis of fertility disorders might not be recommendable.  相似文献

The main objective of the study was to describe the relationship of high somatic cell count (SCC) with the incidence of abnormal postpartum resumption of ovarian cyclicity and reproductive performance in dairy cows. The factors influencing SCC were also investigated. Four hundred and forty-seven cows from six dairy herds in Japan were monitored for SCC and postpartum resumption of ovarian cyclicity. Cows with high SCC (200,000 to 500,000) had a higher incidence of prolonged luteal phase (P < 0.01) than cows with an SCC of 50,000 to 100,000. The high SCC cows (> 500,000) also showed a higher incidence of delayed first ovulation post partum than cows with an SCC ≤500,000 (P < 0.05) during the first month post partum. Cows with an SCC of 200,000 to 500,000 showed lower conception and pregnancy rates, and more days from calving to conception than cows with an SCC of less than 200,000 (P < 0.05). Cows in parity 5 or more had a higher incidence of high SCC than cows in the first and second parities (P < 0.05). It is concluded that cows with a high SCC have a higher incidence of abnormal postpartum resumption of ovarian cyclicity, leading to reduced reproductive performance.  相似文献

Radioimmunological investigation (RIA) of the level of pituitary FSH in the peripheral blood of cows after parturition demonstrated that this level increased successively. The FSH value of 32.93 +/- 3.71 ng per 1 ml, recorded the fourth to sixth day post partum, increased to as much as 57.78 +/- 40.98 ng per 1 ml 40 days after parturition. The LH level changed only slightly over the same period (from 1.12 +/- 0.21 ng per ml to 1.72 +/- 1.15 ng per ml). The concentration of progesterone in the blood of the cows was about 0.40 ng per ml during the first 15 days after parturition, but from the 25th day post partum it trebled, on an average (1.53 +/- 1.19 - 1.59 +/- 1.25 ng per ml). The response of the adenohypophysis of the cows to the administration of 200 micrograms of synthetic gonadoreline (spec. Dirigestran inj. Spofa) increased with increasing length of time from parturition. FSH concentration increased less markedly during the first 28 days p.p. and this increase was not uniform in time (the average increase was 1.5 to three times); in the later period the highest increase 300-500% was recorded, as a rule, 120 minutes after GnRH administration. The situation was similar in the increase in LH concentration in peripheral blood, but after the 26th day post partum the average increase in LH accounted for 500 to 600%. The concentration of progesterone in peripheral blood increased by more than 300%, on an average, from the 25th day after parturition. This review describes factors that affect conception rate after synchronization of ovulation and timed artificial insemination. Intervals of 7 days between GnRH and PGF2alpha, 48 hours to the second GnRH treatment and a further 16 to 20 hours to the timed insemination have been proven to be most effective. Conception rates (CR) increase as lactation progresses up to 100 days in milk. Primiparous cows have higher CR than older cows. Anovular cows at the start of the synchronization protocols have poor CR. These are highest for cows started in early dioestrus. While poor body condition and some post partum and post insemination health disorders have negative effects on the CR, a significant effect of postpartum chronic endometritis could not be demonstrated. High milk yield was also not shown to have a negative effect on CR in almost all studies, while the negative effect of heat stress on fertility is also found in Ovsynch cows. However, the negative effects of high milk yields and heat stress on AI submission rates are overcome by the timed insemination protocol.  相似文献

The objective was to examine the effect of lactation on uterine involution in post‐partum dairy cows. Holstein primiparous cows were used (n = 19, mean age: 3.9 ± 0.1 years). At calving, cows were randomly assigned to one of two treatment groups, lactating (n = 11) or non‐lactating (i.e. dried off at calving, n = 8). Examination of the reproductive tract was carried out by ultrasonography twice weekly until week 7 post‐partum. Blood samples were collected twice weekly for the analysis of progesterone to indicate the resumption of cyclicity and metabolites indicative of energy status. Uterine involution was assessed in terms of size of the uterine horns, uterine body diameter and uterine fluid volume as assessed by the amount of non‐echogenic material measured by ultrasound and position of the uterus. Vaginal mucous score was taken on day 28 post‐partum for the assessment of uterine inflammation. Resumption of cyclicity (serum progesterone > 1 ng/ml) had occurred in both groups on average by day 21 post‐partum. Concentrations of non‐esterified fatty acids and beta‐hydroxybutyrate were higher, whereas concentrations of glucose, insulin and IGF‐1 were lower (p < 0.05) in lactating compared to non‐lactating cows. Lactating cows had a smaller mean uterine body diameter (p < 0.05) than non‐lactating cows from days 28 to 42 post‐partum (day 28: 20.2 ± 1.3 vs 24.9 ± 1.5 mm, respectively) and had a lower mean uterine fluid volume up to day 49 (p < 0.05). By day 49, there was no difference in uterine diameter (15.2 ± 1.8 vs 15.2 ± 1.6 mm) or uterine fluid volume (0.11 ± 0.38 vs 0.18 ± 0.46) between lactating and non‐lactating cows, respectively. Vaginal mucous score revealed no evidence of uterine inflammation in either group. In conclusion, while lactation induced significant alterations in metabolic status, it did not have a major effect on the rate of uterine involution as defined in this study.  相似文献

Excessive fat deposition prior to calving and a negative energy balance post partum predispose the high producing cow for an intensive postpartal lipolysis and for the health problems resulting thereof. It was postulated that a well proliferated ruminal mucosa at the beginning of lactation could improve the energy supply by stabilizing the pH of the rumen content with energy rich feed and by providing a high absorption capacity for volatile fatty acids. Results of earlier experiments dealing with this problem are reviewed. Furthermore there is described a pilot experiment with 9 dry cows, which was directed to stimulate rumen mucosa growth ante partum by a low energy ration (roughage) during the first half of the dry period and a high energy ration during the last 3 to 4 weeks prior to calving, without inducing a fat cow. The ruminal mucosa reacted to that feeding regimen as expected and desired. The body weight of 3 cows in moderate and 4 cows in medium body condition increased by 7.2% or 3% during 8 to 11 or 7 to 9 weeks respectively. One of two fat cows lost 4.9% of her body weight within 8 to 9 weeks while the condition of the second animal remained unchanged. No problems were observed at calving. A further progress is expected by feeding the dry cows in two groups with different rations according to their body condition at the end of lactation. Results of experiments as well as practical experiences show that no more than 8 to 10 days are necessary to adapt the ruminal flora to a mixed ration (roughage + concentrates).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

An experiment was conducted to test the hypothesis that the effect of body fatness on LH pulsatility in post-partum cows is entirely independent of the negative feedback effects of ovarian steroids. Forty beef cows were fed in the last 100 d of gestation so that they achieved either a thin (mean score 1.97) or fat (mean score 2.79) body condition (0 to 5 scale) at calving and were fed after calving to maintain live weight and body condition. At 15 (sd 3.7) d post partum all cows were ovariectomised and half from each body condition score treatment group received a subcutaneous estradiol implant (+EST) while the remainder received no implant (−EST). At weeks 5 and 9 post-partum blood samples were collected via jugular catheter every 20 minutes for 10 hr on two consecutive d and on the third d cows were injected via the jugular vein with 2.5 μg GnRH. Blood samples were collected every 15 minutes for 1 hr before and 2 hr after GnRH injection. At 5 and 9 weeks the fatter cows had significantly higher mean LH concentrations, baseline LH concentrations, LH pulse amplitudes and pulse frequencies (P<0.01). Implantation with estradiol in both fat and thin cows reduced mean LH concentrations, baseline LH concentrations, LH pulse amplitudes and pulse frequencies (P<0.001). The lack of interaction between body condition and the presence or absence of estradiol implies that the effect of body condition on LH release is independent of ovarian steroid feedback mechanisms. Fat cows showed a greater release of LH in response to exogenous GnRH (P<0.01) than thin cows while implantation with estradiol in both fat and thin cows decreased (P<0.01) LH release. The pituitary responsiveness to GnRH with the −EST cows was greater at 9 compared to 5 weeks, but there was no difference with time in the +EST cows. However, there was no such interaction in endogenous LH pulse amplitude suggesting that in the absence of estradiol the magnitude of GnRH pulses declined with time post-partum.  相似文献

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of naloxone (NAL), an opioid receptor antagonist, on pituitary LH secretion in anovulatory Holstein cows during the early postpartum period when cows were expected to be in negative net energy balance. Twenty-three cows (11 primiparous) received either saline (n = 12) or 1 mg/kg BW NAL i.v. (n = 11) on Day 14 or 15 postpartum. Jugular blood samples were collected at 15-min intervals for 2 hr before and 2.5 hr after NAL or saline. All cows received 3 ug gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) at 2.5 hr post-NAL or -saline and blood collection was continued for 1 hr. Mean serum progesterone concentration was 0.33 ± 0.2 ng/ml. Mean net energy balance for all cows was -5.5 ± 0.6 Mcal/day. Naloxone caused a transient increase (P < 0.05) in serum LH concentrations in both primi- and multiparous cows within 45 min after administration. In contrast, serum LH concentrations remained unchanged in saline-treated cows. GnRH increased (P < 0.05) LH and there was no effect of treatment. These results suggest that modulation of LH secretion, at least in part, may be mediated via endogenous opioids in dairy cows before first postpartum ovulation.  相似文献

The study investigated the influence of selected husbandry factors on interval to resumption of post‐partum cyclicity among dairy cows in urban and peri‐urban Kampala. A prospective study of 85 day post‐partum period of 59 dairy cows in open (n = 38) and zero grazing (n = 21) systems was conducted on 24 farms. Cows of parity 1–6 were recruited starting 15–30 days post‐partum. Progesterone (P4) content in milk taken at 10–12 day intervals was analysed using ELISA. The cow P4 profiles were classified into ‘normal’ (< 56 days), ‘delayed’ (> 56 days), ‘ceased’ or ‘prolonged’ (if started < 56 days but with abnormal P4 displays) resumption of luteal activity and tested for association with husbandry and cow factors. Of the 59 cows, luteal activity in 81.4% resumed normally and in 18.6%, delayed. Only 23.7% maintained regular luteal activity, while the others had ceased (10.2%), prolonged (37.3%) or unclear luteal activity (20.3%). There were no differences between open and zero‐grazed cows. Milk production was higher (p < 0.05) in zero than open grazing, in urban than peri‐urban and in cows fed on brew waste (p < 0.001) compared with mill products and banana peels. Results suggest that luteal activity resumes normally in a majority of cows, although only a minority experienced continued normal cyclicity once ovulation had occurred, in the two farming systems irrespective of feed supplements or water, and that supplementing with brew waste is beneficial for milk production.  相似文献

This study investigated whether the stress associated with a 30-minute journey in a truck could distort the oestradiol-induced surge of luteinising hormone (LH) in dairy cows. Altogether 20 journeys were monitored, 16 to 18 hours after intramuscular administration of 1 mg oestradiol benzoate (OE2). Plasma cortisol concentration was elevated (P less than 0.001) within 30 minutes of the start of each journey, even when the journey was repeated at about weekly intervals, indicating a lack of habituation. The LH surge in response to 11 OE2 treatments in nine non-cycling cows within 30 days after calving was either absent (one cow) or significantly delayed, of shorter duration or of lesser amplitude following transport, compared with untransported OE2-treated controls. However, in six cycling cows, 58 days or more after calving, transport affected the LH surge only once. Even in these cows, the LH surge did not start until the cortisol concentration returned to normal, which may suggest a transient postponement of the LH surge by transport. In conclusion, transport impaired the LH surge in early post partum cows with little or no effect after ovarian cyclicity was resumed. It is hypothesised that endocrine events leading to the onset of the LH surge are more vulnerable to stressors in early post partum cows and in the natural situation this might be responsible for the occurrence of anovulation and cystic ovarian disease.  相似文献

This field study investigated whether the administration of a single dose of gonadotropin‐releasing hormone (GnRH) to dairy cows without a corpus luteum (CL) 4 weeks after calving can improve reproductive performance. Holstein dairy cows underwent ultrasonography to assess the presence of ovarian structures at 29.2 ± 5.2 days post‐partum, and cows were divided into two main groups based on the presence (CL group, n = 230) or absence (non‐CL group, n = 460) of a CL. The non‐CL group was further randomly divided into two subgroups based on the administration of GnRH (non‐CL GnRH group, n = 230) or no GnRH (non‐CL control group, n = 230). Subsets of cows from non‐CL control (n = 166) and non‐CL GnRH (n = 175) groups received a second ultrasonography at 44.5 ± 5.4 days post‐partum to assess CL formation. The percentage of cows with CL at the second ultrasonography was greater in the non‐CL GnRH group (70.9%) than in the non‐CL control group (53.0%, p = 0.0006). The hazard of the first post‐partum insemination by 150 days in milk (DIM) was higher in the CL group than in the non‐CL control group (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.36, p = 0.001). The probability of a pregnancy to the first insemination was higher in non‐CL GnRH (odds ratio [OR]: 1.50, p = 0.04) and CL groups (OR: 1.55, p = 0.03) compared to the non‐CL control group. Furthermore, the hazard of pregnancy by 210 DIM was higher in non‐CL GnRH (HR: 1.30, p = 0.01) and CL (HR: 1.51, p = 0.0001) groups than in the non‐CL control group. In conclusion, administration of GnRH to dairy cows without a CL 4 weeks after calving was associated with an increase in ovulation and improved reproductive performance.  相似文献

Parturition and retention of fetal membranes were induced with PGF2 alpha in 3 primiparous dairy cows. Starting on day 12 post partum (PP) the cows were treated with 500 micrograms i.m. of ACTH-analogue (tetracosactid) every 6 h for 6 times. Changes in plasma concentrations of cortisol, progesterone and 15-ketodihydro-PGF2 alpha were evaluated immediately after treatment. The effects on the resumption of ovarian activity were evaluated by clinical and ultrasound examinations and by progesterone and 15-ketodihydro-PGF2 alpha analyses for 56 days after parturition. Treatment was able to induce a statistically significant (p < 0.01) similar increase in cortisol and progesterone after both the 1st and the 6th injections, in all cows. No changes in 15-ketodihydro-PGF2 alpha concentrations were seen after any of the injections of ACTH-analogue. The first corpus luteum (CL) was seen on day 18 PP (cow A), and 28 (cow B) and in both cases it was followed by a normal ovarian cyclicity. No CL was observed during the whole period of study in cow C. Progesterone profiles confirmed these clinical and ultrasonographic findings. The steroid output, especially progesterone, induced by the ACTH-analogue might be a stimulus for the onset of ovarian cyclicity, since 2 of the 3 animals ovulated earlier than expected. These findings point to the fact that interference with the stress system might have a positive effect on ovarian cyclicity. The different pattern of response does however demand further studies.  相似文献

The effects of metaphylactic measures in cattle herds with the aim of diminishing puerperal disturbances and ensurement of high reproductive performance were studied. About 5000 cows in more than 30 groups (experimental and controls) were included into the clinical investigations. Dietary supplementation by sodium propionic acid over a period of 4 weeks, oxytocin or parasympathomimetics administered during the first 3 days post partum had a certain metaphylactic effect, only when the therapeutic principle met the prevalent cause of the given puerperal disturbance. In herds with high incidence of noninfectious retention of fetal membranes the metaphylactic application of Se and Vitamin E (10 days ante partum) can be taken into account. Stimulation of the ovarian activity by GnRH is recommended in animals which fail to have developed follicular activity by the 12th-15th day post partum.  相似文献

In the purpose to provide further information in respect of the relationship between metabolism and post partum (PP) ovarian activity resumption in dairy cows, the aim of the present study was to characterize the energy balance (EB) and leptin, NEFA and IGF-I plasma levels in Swedish Red and White (SRW) cows with and without ovarian activity re-initiation within 7 weeks PP. The study was conducted on 12 primiparous SRW cows fed the same diet as total mixed ration for ad libitum intake. The EB was calculated weekly from parturition until seven weeks PP. Blood samples were collected weekly from one week before until 7 weeks after calving for leptin, NEFA and IGF-I analysis. For progesterone (P4) analysis, blood samples were collected two times per week from parturition until the end of the study. P4 profile was used in addition to the clinical examination to detect cows with and without ovarian activity resumption. The clinical and ultrasonographic examination, coupled with P4 profile analysis showed the resumption of ovarian activity within 7 weeks after calving in 8 (group A) and no ovarian resumption in 4 cows (group B). No significant differences were detected in the whole period of observation in the amount of milk production between the two groups, while the mean milk protein content was significantly lower in group B at the third week PP. The calculated EB was negative in both groups in the first three weeks after calving, but more marked in group B. NEFA and Leptin plasma levels did not show significant differences between the two groups. In conclusion, the results of the present study showed that, when low milk producing primiparous cows are concerned, no significant differences in BW loss, milk yield, EB and leptin and NEFA plasma levels between the cows with and without resumption of ovarian activity within 7 weeks post partum were seen. However, significantly higher IGF-I levels in the first two weeks after calving were found in cows with post partum ovarian activity resumption, highlighting the important role of IGF-I as sensitive signal between metabolism and reproduction.  相似文献
