In this study, a three-dimensional (3D) poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) microfibrous scaffold with high porosity (ca. 90 % porosity) was developed for evaluating its performance in tissue engineering application. A dope solution of PLGA/polyethylene oxide (PEO) blend was electrospun into a methanol coagulation bath for fabricating highly porous 3D PLGA scaffold and a salt leaching method was used for making interconnected pores of 100?C200 ??m size inside the scaffold. The morphological structure, pore size and porosity of the microfibrous scaffold were determined, and compared with twodimensional (2D) mat-type and 3D sponge-type of PLGA scaffold. Also, swelling ratio, water uptake and compressive strength were compared in order to elucidate the structure-property relationships of different types of the scaffolds, especially in a wet condition. As a result of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation, normal human dermal fibroblasts (nHDF) were migrated, attached, and proliferated well inside the 3D scaffold. MTT assay confirmed that the highly porous 3D PLGA microfibrous scaffold had superior cell adhesion and proliferation abilities due to fibrous structure of large specific surface area, and interconnected pore structure. Therefore, this high performance 3D PLGA scaffold can have a high potentiality for application in tissue engineering in comparison with conventional PLGA scaffolds.  相似文献

In this study, the in vitro degradation of yarns made from PCL electrospun fibers containing various concentrations of ampicillin sodium salt was investigated. PCL fibers were electrospun and collected as well-aligned fiber bundles and then twisted into yarns. Yarn weight loss, morphology changes in the yarns, and morphology changes in the fiber microstructure with degradation were evaluated. Results showed that the electrospun PCL yarns degraded slowly with a weight loss less than 3 % in 12 weeks. The addition of various concentrations of ampicillin salt increased the degradation rate slightly. The morphological changes observed in fiber microstructure suggested that the degradation underwent bulk erosion and the degradation began with the amorphous regions. Revealed by the fiber morphological changes with degradation, the microstructure of electrospun PCL fibers followed the fringed fibril fiber model. The fiber arrangement in the yarn was impaired by the in vitro degradation environment as well.  相似文献

Background:One of the main challenges with conventional scaffold fabrication methods is the inability to control scaffold architecture. Recently, scaffolds with controlled shape and architecture have been fabricated using 3D-printing. Herein, we aimed to determine whether the much tighter control of microstructure of 3DP PLGA/β-TCP scaffolds is more effective in promoting osteogenesis than porous scaffolds produced by solvent casting/porogen leaching. Methods:Physical and mechanical properties of porous and 3DP scaffolds were studied. The response of pre-osteoblasts to the scaffolds was analyzed after 14 days. Results:The 3DP scaffolds had a smoother surface (Ra: 22 ± 3 µm) relative to the highly rough surface of porous scaffolds (Ra: 110 ± 15 µm). Water contact angle was 112 ± 4° on porous and 76 ± 6° on 3DP scaffolds. Porous and 3DP scaffolds had the pore size of 408 ± 90 and 315 ± 17 µm and porosity of 85 ± 5% and 39 ± 7%, respectively. Compressive strength of 3DP scaffolds (4.0 ± 0.3 MPa) was higher than porous scaffolds (1.7 ± 0.2 MPa). Collagenous matrix deposition was similar on both scaffolds. Cells proliferated from day 1 to day 14 by fourfold in porous and by 3.8-fold in 3DP scaffolds. ALP activity was 21-fold higher in 3DP scaffolds than porous scaffolds. Conclusion:The 3DP scaffolds show enhanced mechanical properties and ALP activity compared to porous scaffolds in vitro, suggesting that 3DP PLGA/β-TCP scaffolds are possibly more favorable for bone formation. Background:Solvent casting/particulate leaching is one of the most conventional methods for fabricating polymer/ceramic composite scaffolds. In this method, the solvent generally affects resulting scaffold properties, including porosity and degradation rate. Methods:Herein, composite scaffolds of PLGA/nHA with different percentages of nHA (25, 35, and 45 wt. %) were prepared by the solvent casting/particle leaching combined with freeze drying. The effects of two different solvents, DIO and NMP, on morphology, porosity, bioactivity, degradation rate, and biocompatibility of the resulting scaffolds were investigated. Results:The results revealed that increasing the nHA percentages had no significant effect on the porosity and interconectivity of scaffolds (p > 0.05), whereas altering the solvent from DIO into NMP decreased the porosity from about 87% into 71%, respectively. Moreover, scaffolds of DIO illustrated the high results of cell proliferation compared to those of NMP; the cell viability of GD25 decreased from 85% to 65% for GN25. The findings also indicated that scaffolds prepared by NMP had a higher rate of losing weight in comparison to DIO. Adding nHA to PLGA had a significant effect on the bioactivity of scaffolds (p < 0.05), composite scaffolds with 45 wt % nHA had at least 30% more weight gain compared to the neat polymer scaffolds. Conclusion:The DIO scaffolds have higher rates of porosity, interconnectivity, bioactivity, and biocompatibility than NMP scaffolds due to its high evaporation rate. The complex nature of spinal cord injuries has provided much inspiration for the design of novel biomaterials and scaffolds which are capable of stimulating neural tissue repair strategies. Recently, conductive polymers have gained much attention for improving the nerve regeneration. In our previous study, a three-dimensional (3D) structure with reliable performance was achieved for electrospun scaffolds. The main purpose in the current study is formation of electrical excitable 3D scaffolds by appending polyaniline (PANI) to biocompatible polymers. In this paper, an attempt was made to develop conductive nanofibrous scaffolds, which can simultaneously present both electrical and topographical cues to cells. By using a proper 3D structure, two kinds of conductive scaffolds are compared with a non-conductive scaffold. The 3D nanofibrous core-sheath scaffolds, which are conductive, were prepared with nanorough sheath and aligned core. Two different sheath polymers, including poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) PLGA and PLGA/PANI, with identical PCL/PANI cores were fabricated. Nanofibers of PCL and PLGA blends with PANI have fiber diameters of 234±60.8 nm and 770±166.6 nm, and conductivity of 3.17×10-5 S/cm and 4.29×10-5 S/cm, respectively. The cell proliferation evaluation of nerve cells on these two conductive scaffolds and previous non-conductive scaffolds (PLGA) indicate that the first conductive scaffold (PCL/ PANI-PLGA) could be more effective for nerve tissue regeneration. Locomotor scores of grafted animals by developed scaffolds showed significant performance of non-conductive 3D scaffolds. Moreover, the animal studies indicated the ability of two new types of conductive scaffolds as spinal cord regeneration candidates.  相似文献

Produced via electrospinning, polyurethane (PU) scaffolds have always attracted the interest of medical applications due of their unique properties such as good adhesion, biocompatibility and excellent mechanical strength. However, the poor hydrophilicity and hemocompatibility of PU presented a problem during PU’s application in the manufacturing of biomedical materials. We hypothesized that the incorporation of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) into electrospinning solution of PU could improve the cell affinity and hemocompatibility. This research focused on fabricating hybrid PU-PEG and PU-PC random/aligned scaffolds through electrospinning technique and comparing their properties as a potential biocompatible scaffold for vascular tissue engineering. PC was doped into a PU solution in order to prepare an electrospun scaffold through the electrospinning technology while crosslinked electrospun PUPEG hybrid scaffolds were fabricated by photoinduced polymerization. The contact angle dramatically decreased from 122.3±0.8° to 39.1±0.8° with doping of PC in electrospinning solution while it decreased from 122.3±0.8° to 41.6±0.8° with doping of PEG. Furthermore, the mechanical properties of PU scaffolds were altered significantly by the addition of PC. The hemolysis and cytocompatibility assays demonstrated that these composite scaffolds could potentially be used as a smalldiameter vascular graft.  相似文献

A major goal of biomimetics is the development of chemical compositions and structures that simulate the extracellular matrix. In this study, gelatin-based electrospun composite fibrous membranes were prepared by electrospinning to generate bone scaffold materials. The gelatin-based multicomponent composite fibers were fabricated using co-electrospinning, and the composite fibers of chitosan (CS), gelatin (Gel), hydroxyapatite (HA), and graphene oxide (GO) were successfully fabricated for multi-function characteristics of biomimetic scaffolds. The effect of component concentration on composite fiber morphology, antibacterial properties, and protein adsorption were investigated. Composite fibers exhibited effective antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The study observed that the composite fibers have higher adsorption capacities of bovine serum albumin (BSA) at pH 5.32–6.00 than at pH 3.90–4.50 or 7.35. The protein adsorption on the surface of the composite fiber increased as the initial BSA concentration increased. The surface of the composite reached adsorption equilibrium at 20 min. These results have specific applications for the development of bone scaffold materials, and broad implications in the field of tissue engineering.  相似文献

In recent decades, tremendous research has focused on the production of nanoscale fibers using synthetic polymers, with the goal of fabricating nanofibrous scaffolds for wound healing. However, the hydrophobicity of such polymers typically hinders attachment and proliferation of the cells. In this study, we combined poly-d,l-lactide-co-glycolide (PLGA) and small intestine submucosa (SIS) to fabricate blended nanofibers for wound healing by electrospinning. PLGA and SIS were dissolved in 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro isopropanol to produce different weight ratios of PLGA/SIS-blended nanofibrous membranes (NFM). Physicochemical characterization of the electrospun NFM was performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, water contact angle analysis, degradation test and tensile testing. The PLGA/SIS-blended NFM showed improved hydrophilicity and tensile strength. Better infiltration, attachment and proliferation of rat granulation fibroblasts of PLGA/SIS-blended NFMs compared to PLGA NFMs were identified by morphological differences determined by SEM and a water-soluble tetrazolium salt assay kit. Based on our results, the PLGA/SIS blended NFMs were found to be suitable for use as a potential material for wound dressing.  相似文献

In this study, to improve the cellular biocompatibility of PVP-PCL micro- and nanofiber scaffold, a novel electrospun collagen/PVP-PCL micro- and nanofiber scaffold was sucessfully prepared assisted by ultrasonic irradiation using chloroform/ethanol mixtures as solvent. The micro- and nanofibers of the electrospun PCL-PVP scaffolds still presented compact inter-fiber entanglement and three-dimensional netlike network with some certain range of pore space after introducing collagen. The incorporated collagen phase was dispersed as inclusions within the electrospun fibers, and then could be easily released by immersing the scaffold in Hanks simulated body fluid. Meanwhile, the integral triple helix structure of collagen could be maintained after blending with the PVP-PCL mixture due to the weak intermolecular interactions. Furthermore, the suitable mechanical and degradation properties of the PVP-PCL scaffold were still reserved after introducing collagen, and the introduction of collagen could further promote the thermostability of the PVP-PCL scaffold. Above all, the collagen/PVP-PCL scaffold showed no cytotoxicity, better cell proliferation, and improved viability of primary fibroblasts than the PVP-PCL scaffold. In conclusion, blending collagen with the PVP-PCL mixture in this study has potential for promoting the biocompatibility of PVP-PCL micro- and nanofiber scaffolds for tissue engineering.  相似文献

Lotus-leaf-like nanofibrous surfaces were prepared by electrospinning hydrophobic poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) from a mixed solvent of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and acetone. PVDF fibrous mats with a bead-on-string morphology were generated because the nonpolar acetone decresed the viscosity of the PVDF solution and promoted the evaporation of the solution during electrospinning process. The morphology of the nanofibirous surface was examined by scanning electron microscopy. Micron-sized beads were introduced to the electrospun PVDF mats, resulting in enhanced hydrophobicity of the electrospun mats. The addition of a small amount (0.05 vol%) of acetic acid to the polymer solution effectively improved the bead-on-string morphology of the electrospun mats, and led to a higher water contact angle (WCA). The electrospun PVDF fibrous mat showed a maximum WCA of 148.5° due to the appropriate surface roughness.  相似文献

Electrospinning has been recognized as an efficient technique for the fabrication of neural tissue engineering scaffolds. Many approaches have been developed on material optimization, electrospinning techniques, and physical properties of scaffolds to produce a suitable scaffold for tissue engineering aspects. In this study, structural properties of scaffolds were promoted by controlling the speed of fiber collection without any post-processing. PLGA scaffolds, in two significantly different solution concentrations, were fabricated by the electrospinning process to produce scaffolds with the optimum nerve cell growth in a desired direction. The minimum, intermediate and maximum rate of fiber collection (0.4, 2.4, 4.8 m/s) formed Random, Aligned and Drown-aligned fibers, with various porosities and hydrophilicities. The scaffolds were characterized by fiber diameter, porosity, water contact angle and morphology. Human nerve cells were cultured on fiber substrates for seven days to study the effects of different scaffold structures on cell morphology and proliferation, simultaneously. The results of MTT assay, the morphology of cells and scaffold characterization recommend that the best structure to promote cell direction, morphology and proliferation is accessible in an optimized hydrophilicity and porosity of scaffolds, which was obtained at the collector linear speed of 2.4 m/s.  相似文献

Background: Spinal cord has a limited capacity to repair; therefore, medical interventions are necessary for treatment of injuries. Transplantation of Schwann cells has shown a great promising result for spinal cord injury (SCI). However, harvesting Schwann cell has been limited due to donor morbidity and limited expansion capacity. Furthermore, accessible sources such as bone marrow stem cells have drawn attentions to themselves. Therefore, this study was designed to evaluate the effect of bone marrow-derived Schwann cell on functional recovery in adult rats after injury. Methods: Mesenchymal stem cells were cultured from adult rats’ bone marrow and induced into Schwann cells in vitro. Differentiation was confirmed by immunocytochemistry and RT-PCR. Next, Schwann cells were seeded into collagen scaffolds and engrafted in 3 mm lateral hemisection defects. For 8 weeks, motor and sensory improvements were assessed by open field locomotor scale, narrow beam, and tail flick tests. Afterwards, lesioned spinal cord was evaluated by conventional histology and immunohistochemistry. Results: In vitro observations showed that differentiated cells had Schwann cell morphology and markers. In this study, we had four groups (n = 10 each): laminectomy, control, scaffold and scaffold + Schwann cells. Locomotor and sensory scores of cell grafted group were significantly better than control and scaffold groups. In histology, axonal regeneration and remyelination were better than control and scaffold groups. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that bone marrow-derived Schwann cells can be considered as a cell source for Schwann cells in SCI treatment. An understanding of relationships between starch molecular structure and function could increase the opportunity to develop additional uses for starch. Using a combined aqueous (aq.) leaching and alcohol precipitation technique, six amylose fractions were obtained from regular and two high amylose (hAM) corn starches (50 and 70%). Five amylopectin fractions were obtained from regular and waxy corn starches. After freeze-drying the fractions, high performance size exclusion chromatography (HPSEC) was used to estimate weight-average (Mw) and number-average (Mn) molecular weights, and to determine polydispersity (Mw/Mn) and purity. Increase in fraction reducing power after pullulanase treatment was determined and expressed as a relative index of branching. Amylose-fractions showed varying but similar (P>0·05) Mw(1·40–5·68E+05), similar polydispersities (2·1–2·9), and branching values (1·93E-04–4·14E-05). Amylose branching increased with decreasing Mw. Amylopectin had varying Mw(2·88–5·43E+07) and similar polydispersities (1·3–1·5), but different branching values (7·30E-04–1·54E-03), that did not follow any Mworder. Fraction melting temperatures, enthalpies, and gel retrogradation behaviours were determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). No enthalpies were observed for amylose fractions. Amylopectin fractions with high branching values that had intermediate to low Mw(3·75–2·88E+07), showed marked retrogradation. Enthalpy was correlated neither to branching nor Mw. Gel textural profile analysis (fracturability, adhesive force, cohesiveness, and springiness) showed that for amylose, intermediate Mwfractions promoted less fracturability, while adhesive force, and stringiness increased with a decrease in Mw. For amylopectin, the intermediate Mwand highly branched fractions reduced fracturability, and promoted adhesive force, and stringiness. Amylopectin fractions of intermediate Mwand high extent of branching underwent increased retrogradation. Amylose gel textural attributes were governed by molecular weight, while molecular weight and branching governed amylopectin gel textural properties.  相似文献

Application of electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds has received immense attention in tissue engineering. Fabrication of scaffolds with appropriate electrical properties plays a key role in neural tissue engineering. Since fibers orientation in the scaffolds affects the growth and proliferation of the cells, this study aimed to prepare aligned electrospun conductive nanofibers by mixing 1 %, 10 % and 18 % (w/v) doped polyaniline (PANI) with polycaprolactone (PCL)/poly lactic-coglycolic acid (PLGA) (25/75) solution through the electrospinning process. The fibers diameter, hydrophilicity and conductivity were measured. In addition, the shape and proliferation of the nerve cells seeded on fibers were evaluated by MTT cytotoxicity assay and scanning electron microscopy. The results revealed that the conductive nanofibrous scaffolds were appropriate substrates for the attachment and proliferation of nerve cells. The electrical stimulation enhanced neurite outgrowth compared to those PLGA/PCL/PANI scaffolds that were not subjected to electrical stimulation. As polyaniline ratio increases, electric stimulation through nanofibrous PLGA/PCL/PANI scaffolds results in cell proliferation enhancement. However, a raise more than 10 % in polyaniline will result in cell toxicity. It was concluded that conductive scaffolds with appropriate ratio of PANI along with electrical stimulation have potential applications in treatment of spinal cord injuries.  相似文献

Steam explosion of corn stalk in the presence of 3% sulphuric acid at 200 °C for 5 min gave the highest recovery of lignin. Lignin has Mw = 2640 and Mz = 93,994. In the UV spectrum absorptions at λ = 231 and 280 nm were recorded. 1H NMR spectrum of lignin showed signals attributable to cinnamaldehyde units, guaiacyl units, and syringyl units. Syringyl and guaiacyl units are in 1:1 ratio. 13C NMR spectrum showed signals for guaiacyl, syringyl, and p-hydroxyphenyl units. The spectrum showed a prevalence of guaiacyl units. The 13C NMR spectrum is in agreement with the presence of cinnamic units. The same characterization was performed on lignin from pine. The irradiation of lignin from pine from steam explosion process in the presence of oxygen, in conditions described for the formation of superoxide ion, for different irradiation time was followed isolating the lignin and determining the average molecular weight. The experiments showed that, until 8 h irradiation, Mn decreases, while Mw and Mz increases. After 8 h irradiation an inverse behaviour was observed, with an increase of Mn and a decrease of Mw and Mz. These results are in agreement with an initial polymerization process followed by a photoinduced degradation. Ozonization was carried out in acetonitrile–methanol solution. The reaction showed a zero-order kinetics. After 50 min the average molecular weight of lignin is the half. The reaction mixture was analyzed by using GC–MS. Oxalic acid was determined.  相似文献

In this study, biodegradable poly(D,L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) fibers were prepared by a melt-electrospinning and treated with plasma in the presence of either oxygen or ammonia gas to modify the surface of the fibers. The effects of processing parameters on the melt-electrospinning of PLGA were examined in terms of fiber morphology and diameter. Among the processing parameters, the spinning temperature and mass flow rate had a significant effect on the average fiber diameter and its distribution. The water contact angle of melt-electrospun PLGA fibers decreased significantly from 123 ° to 55 ° (oxygen plasma treatment) or to 0 ° (ammonia plasma treatment) by plasma treatment for 180 sec, while their water content increased significantly from 2.4 % to 123 % (oxygen plasma treatment) or to 189 % (ammonia plasma treatment). Ammonia gas-plasma enhanced the surface hydrophilicity of PLGA fibers more effectively compared to oxygen gas-plasma. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis supported that the number of polar groups, such as hydroxyl and amino groups, on the surface of PLGA fibers increased after plasma treatment. Overall, the microfibrous PLGA scaffolds with appropriate surface hydrophilicity and fiber diameter could be fabricated by melt electrospinning and subsequent plasma treatment, without a significant deterioration of fiber structure and dimensional stability. This approach of controlling the surface properties and structures of fibers could be useful in the design and tailoring of novel scaffolds for tissue engineering.  相似文献

Aspergillus section Flavi is able to produce aflatoxins (AFs) in vitro down to 0.85 aw with a potential maximum occurring between 0.95 and 0.99 aw, while in the field AFs increased significantly with kernel humidity below 0.95 aw. In order to clarify this apparent discrepancy, a 3-year field trial with artificial inoculation of maize ears with Aspergillus flavus strains was organised. The co-occurrence of Aspergillus section Flavi and Gibberella fujikuroi species complex (Gfsc) was observed. The incidence of A. flavus was significantly influenced by the year and negatively related to Gfsc incidence. In 2012, when the highest temperature and the lowest rain were registered, aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) content was the highest and aw < 0.95 in kernels was measured early throughout the growing season. In 2013 and 2014, the temperature was lower and rain more abundant, and aw decreased below 0.95 only close to harvest and AFB1 contamination was limited. The possibility of describing/predicting reasonably well aw dynamic based on temperature, (degree day) was confirmed. With aw > 0.95, a positive correlation between AFB1 production rate and aw was found, but a negative correlation resulted with aw < 0.95. Other factors than aw play a role, but aw = 0.95 should be considered as an indicator of suitable conditions for rapid aflatoxin accumulation.  相似文献

Over the last few years, significant research has been conducted in the construction of artificial bone scaffolds. In the present study, different types of polymer scaffolds, such as chitosan-alginate (Chi-Alg) and chitosan-alginate with fucoidan (Chi-Alg-fucoidan), were developed by a freeze-drying method, and each was characterized as a bone graft substitute. The porosity, water uptake and retention ability of the prepared scaffolds showed similar efficacy. The pore size of the Chi-Alg and Chi-Alg-fucoidan scaffolds were measured from scanning electron microscopy and found to be 62–490 and 56–437 µm, respectively. In vitro studies using the MG-63 cell line revealed profound cytocompatibility, increased cell proliferation and enhanced alkaline phosphatase secretion in the Chi-Alg-fucoidan scaffold compared to the Chi-Alg scaffold. Further, protein adsorption and mineralization were about two times greater in the Chi-Alg-fucoidan scaffold than the Chi-Alg scaffold. Hence, we suggest that Chi-Alg-fucoidan will be a promising biomaterial for bone tissue regeneration.  相似文献

Here, we presented new insights of the development of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticles containing turmeric compounds (turmeric-PLGA-NPs) using emulsion-solvent evaporation method. The nanoparticulate system was characterized by size, zeta potential, morphology, release profile, partition parameter, stability and encapsulation efficiency (%EE). Antioxidant activity studies were also evaluated. The Korsmeyer-Peppas model (Mt/M vs. t) was used to determine the release mechanisms of the studied system. Our results demonstrated the emulsion-solvent evaporation method was shown advantageous for producing turmeric-PLGA-NPs in the range of 145 nm with high homogeneity in size distribution, zeta potential of ?21.8 mV and %EE about 72%. Nanoparticles were stable over a period of one month. In vitro study showed a release of curcumin governed by diffusion and relaxation of the polymeric matrix. The partition parameter of the extract in relation to blank-PLGA-NPs was 0.111?±?0.008 M?1, indicating a low affinity of curcumin for the polymer matrix. Antioxidant ability of the turmeric-PLGA-NPs in scavenging the radical 2,2-azinobis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline- 6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) was inferior to free turmeric extract and showed a concentration and time-dependent profile. The study concluded that PLGA nanoparticles are potential carriers for turmeric extract delivery.

Polyglycolic acid-poly lactic glycolic acid (PGA-PLGA) electrospun nanofibers containing silver nanoparticles have been produced and twisted into the nanofibrous yarn. The morphology of nanofibers and produced yarns, as well as the mechanical properties of the yarns, were investigated. Furthermore, in vitro antibacterial properties and in vitro degradation behavior of yarns containing various silver nanoparticles were studied. SEM images confirmed that the addition of the silver nanoparticles into the polymer solution increases the fiber diameters. The result of the mechanical test of the yarns alone and used in two different forms of the knots was measured and results showed that the strength of the yarns without the knot was significantly more than that of others. The biodegradability test showed that the mechanical properties and the weight of the yarns were quickly reduced after subjecting to in vitro condition. The result of the antibacterial test indicated that the nanofiber yarns containing %3 silver nanoparticles were the most appropriate sample with a considerably antibacterial activity against both gram-positive bacterium Staphylococcus aureus and gram-negative bacterium Escherichia Coli with inhibition zones of 8.1 and 9.5 mm, respectively; which demonstrated that silver nanoparticles retained their effectiveness after the electrospinning process. Therefore the nanofibrous yarns containing silver nanoparticles could be successfully produced by the electrospinning process with the proper antibacterial property as a candidate for the surgical sutures.  相似文献
