Application of Modern Bamboo Buildings

Bamboo is an environment-friendly natural materials, and modern bamboo structure has been widely applied in various building types abroad. This paper analyzed characteristics of bamboo buildings, introduced research progress and application of overseas bamboo buildings, and proposed that current application of modern bamboo structure in China should focus on disaster-relief buildings, and buildings for both peacetime and post-disaster reconstruction.     

Evolution and Review of Modern Chinese Vernacular Buildings

This paper divided the evolution of modern Chinese vernacular architecture(1949–2010) into 3 stages: early exploration,confine and confusion,and modern development,by taking time line as the clue,vernacular characteristics of modern architecture in Xi'an during different phases as the support,and combining literature research and field investigation. On this basis,it reviewed historical background,relevant context and typical features of modern vernacular architecture in Xi'an during different phases,and further concluded the evolution laws and research level of modern Chinese vernacular architecture.     

Spatial Composition Patterns of Modern Medical-Elderly Care Buildings

As China is stepping into aging society, medical-elderly care buildings as an emerging type of building have begun to attract the attention of the architectural design industry. Starting from the composition pattern of architectural space, this paper analyzed the attributes of the convalescent space, physiotherapy space, medical space, and public space so as to explore appropriate design patterns, with a view to contributing to the research on medical-elderly care buildings.     

Energy Consumption Features for Large scale Public Office Buildings in Greater Guangzhou, P. R. China

The annual energy consumption of representative office buildings in Guangzhou, P. R. China, was surveyed over a three year period. Among the modern office buildings surveyed, two large scale office buildings were chosen to analyze the energy consumption features and monthly energy consumption trends. Based on the actual occupied area calculation, the total annual energy consumption of the two office buildings was 149.3 kWh/m2 and 115 kWh/m2, respectively. The air conditioning energy consumption in two office buildings accounted for 49.2% and 38.5% of the total energy consumption. The research results could be used as energy consumption sub databases or references for large scale public buildings in Guangzhou due to the accurate survey technique and representativeness of the survey objects. In addition, energy consumption in these office buildings was compared with levels described in other studies. Energy saving methods are proposed for buildings located in hot summer/warm winter climate zones.

Through analysis on landscape planning and design,construction process management and control of the Ta iyuan Wanda Vista Hotel,landscape planning and design ideas,plant species selection and construction experience of the urban luxury hotel are summed up,which provides a reference for the related profession designing and constructing landscape aspect of urban luxury hotel.     

Recycling of Old Industrial Buildings in Xichang

With the advent of the post-industrial era, a large number of idle old industrial buildings have been produced in the city. How to deal with idle old industrial buildings has become a reality. Taking the transformation of the factory building of Chang'an Machinery Plant in Xichang for example, the paper analyzed the recycling strategy of old industrial buildings from the basic conditions and transformation contents of the project, re-constructed the new connotation of the building, so as to exert the use value of the old industrial buildings, with a view to providing a reference for the organic renewal and sustainable development of the city.     

Study on Buildings Heat Reflection

With the acceleration of urbanization,our cities become hotter and hotter.A good control on the heat environment of buildings is useful to improve people's living standard.Considering the phenomenon of "urban heat island",this paper analyzed the influence of a building on other buildings and its surrounding environment due to its form,allocation and thermal character of building materials from the angle of heat reflection,and brought up a proposal to resolve this problem.It opens a new way to improve the thermal environment of a city.     

雷暴天气下建筑物周围电场畸变区域的研究分析

为了探究在雷暴发生时建筑物周围电场畸变区域的规律,利用Integrated Engineering Software电磁暂态仿真软件,模拟分析雷暴云及建筑物结构对周围电场畸变特征的影响。结果表明：当雷暴云过境时,群体建筑物遭受雷击的概率会减小,这主要是因为群体建筑物之间的屏蔽效应,改变了周围区域的电场畸变程度,降低了产生上行先导的概率和遭受雷击的概率。对于单体建筑而言,当雷暴云过境时,建筑物周围电场畸变区域呈半球形状,电场的畸变程度与建筑物的高度呈线性相关,高度越高,畸变区域越大,将导致前方流注扩展的区域变大,从而增加了下行先导发生的概率,这也是越高的物体易遭受雷击的原因。     

广州橘园发现庞达巢粉虱

在调查广州柑橘果园害虫种类时,初次发现了庞达巢粉虱.在室内对其识别特征、各虫态的形态特征进行了观察,同时在果园对其危害性进行了抽样调查,以期为该害虫的检疫提供科学依据.     

The Properties and Measurements of Thoron in Buildings

The sources and characters of thoron 220 Rn in the buildings, the pattern of indoor thoron 220 Rn's concentration and the assessment of hazard which it brings to human being are discussed,and the method of measurement of indoor thoron's concentration is expounded and the measure for reducing thoron 220 Rn in the buildings is also pointed out.     

Investigation and Reference of the Mountain Tourist Hotel in Western Sichuan

Tourist hotel is the main supporting establishment for the touring industry.The authors investigated several important mountain beauty spots in the west of Sichuan province,some problems were found and their reasons were studied.Then,some common characters of mountain tourist hotels were summarized.It is hoped to give some reference to congenial buildings in west China in the future.     

Effectiveness of Energy use in Public Area of Buildings

The flow of people changes very greatly in the public areas of public buildings, so the energy demand should also change with the flow of people. However, under the traditional model, the pedestrian flow is rarely considered when accounting energy output, which causes some of the energy invalid. How to assess the energy efficiency to reduce energy waste is an emergent problem to be solved for building energy conservation. The concept of energy utilization efficiency is put forward to judge the degree of utilization of energy, and the formula for calculating energy utilization efficiency is also provided. In a hospital public waiting area, a lot of experiments have been carried out. By comparing the energy consumption before and after the experiments, it is found that energy utilization efficiency can assess the effectiveness of energy. And to improve the energy efficiency of buildings greatly in public areas can be realized by promoting the energy utilization efficiency.     

Methods of Mitigating Radon Inside Buildings

This paper summarized the necessities of mitigating radon inside buildings, the main way by which radon goes indoors, the principles of preventing and mitigating radon when low buildings are erected and the methods of rating the addresses of buildings. It gave a minute introduction of the methods or rules of mitigating radon in the process of designing and constructing low buildings in America. It also introduced at some length the research about the methods of mitigating radon inside the buildings which are fit for the condition of our country.     

Energy Performance of New Rural Residential Buildings in Chongqing

The DeST-H, developed by Tsinghua University, was used to analyze the Heating and cooling energy consumption of the typical design project obtained from the General Dwellings Atlas of Chongqing Ba-Yu New Rural Residential. The whole year energy consumption after opting energy-saving measures was simulated by varying the relevant parameters. Meanwhile, the technical and economic performance were analyzed by taking the cost increment into account which was caused by energy-saving measures. Based on the optimization results, the priority design parameters adapted to residential buildings of new rural development in Chongqing are summarized as follows: exterior wall thermal insulation with 30mm EPS board; the external window of the main function room with Low-e film hollow glass or others with ordinary single 6 mm glass; strengthened ventilation at over-season; indoor temperature in summer is set to 28℃, the heating temperature in winter is set to 16℃; building orientation is north-south.     

Evaluation Index System of Low-carbon Buildings

Low-carbon building is within building’s lifecycle, through carbon source reduction and carbon sink addition during the process of plan, design, construction, operation, demolition and recycle to achieve the optimization of building lifecycle carbon performance. This article takes the case of Low-carbon Building Evaluation Standard of Chongqing to briefly introduce low-carbon building evaluation indexes, also by comparing with the Green Building Evaluation Standard of Chongqing to identify the two index system’s differences and similarities. Through comparison analysis it is discovered that green building evaluation index system focus more on basic resource and energy consumption status as well as the environment quality delivered, where as low-carbon building evaluation index system put more emphasis on detailed resource and energy consumption status and carbon performance.

From the analysis on the current situation of construction in Chongqing and reflection over the loss of construction culture,this thesis expounds the importance of construction culture.The purpose of this thesis is to find out how to develop Bayu-style constructions,pay sufficient attention to the uniqueness of Bayu construction style theoretically and practically,and work hard to build a new metropolis with Bayu-style architecture.     

The Design of Courtyard-Style Elderly Care Buildings in Cold Regions

Different climatic zones should consider different architectural spatial organization forms when designing buildings. In this paper, the design scheme of Half Courtyard located in the Guanzhong Plain of Shaanxi is selected for research to explore how to construct ecological elderly care buildings in cold regions. The design scheme has been proven to increase solar energy efficiency, add natural ventilation, improve the insulation performance of building envelopes, and create a comfortable indoor climate.     

Study on Solar Heat Control for Buildings in South Area

With the view of building and environment sustainable development, the traditional measures of solar heat control for buildings in the south area were analyzed and their effect on the urban environment was discussed. This paper shows the importance of urban planning and environment planning on solar heat control for buildings.     

Research on Indoor CO2 Density in Chongqing Commercial Buildings

The density of indoor CO 2 is an important value for newly_built commercial buildings. It affects comercial buildings in two aspects, one is the indoor air_quality, the other is the consumption of energy. The aim of design is to keep good indoor air_quality and using little ventilation. The authors measure a typical department store and analyze the measurement. The conclusion as well as the opinion is given, which argues for improving the efficiency of new_wind.
