A study was conducted to investigate red crab Pleuroncodes planipes (Stimpson) as a protein source in experimental diets for postlarvae and juvenile brown shrimp Farfantepenaeus californiensis (Holmes). Four experimental diets were prepared. The base diet contained 10% shrimp meal, 25% fish meal and 27% soy meal plus other ingredients. Complete substitution of shrimp meal with red crab meal (RCM) was done on the remaining diets. Additionally, 5% of the soy meal was replaced with RCM in one diet, and 4% of the fish meal was replaced with RCM in the last diet. A commercial diet (36% crude protein) was used as an external comparison diet to provide a basis to evaluate the growth of shrimp on the test diets. The trial with shrimp postlarvae showed that diets containing RCM produced better results in terms of final weight (3.24–3.55 g), growth rate (0.044–0.046 g d?1) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) (3.7–3.8) than the base or the commercial comparison diets. The FCR was significantly different between the base diet (4.5) and the commercial diet (5.5). Final weight (3.83 g) and growth rate (0.044 g d?1) were higher when the diet replacing 4% fish meal was used to feed juveniles. The commercial diet produced the lowest values of final weight (2.57 g) and growth rate (0.025 g d?1) and the highest FCR (5.6) (P<0.05). These results indicate that the use of P. planipes as a replacement for traditional ingredients in shrimp rations is desirable.  相似文献

In this study, we tested the lower salinity tolerance of juvenile shrimps (Litopenaeus vannamei) at a relatively low temperature (20 °C). In the first of two laboratory experiments, we first abruptly transferred shrimps (6.91 ± 0.05 g wet weight, mean ± SE) from the rearing salinity (35 000 mg L?1) to salinities of 5000, 15 000, 25 000, 35 000 (control) and 40 000 mg L?1 at 20 °C. The survival of L. vannamei juvenile was not affected by salinities from 15 000 to 40 000 mg L?1 during the 96‐h exposure periods. Shrimps exposed to 5000 mg L?1 were significantly affected by salinity, with a survival of 12.5% after 96 h. The 24‐, 48‐ and 96‐h lethal salinity for 50% (LS50) were 7020, 8510 and 9540 mg L?1 respectively. In the second experiment, shrimps (5.47 ± 0.09 g wet weight, mean ± SE) were acclimatized to the different salinity levels (5000, 15 000, 25 000, 35 000 and 40 000 mg L?1) and then maintained for 30 days at 20 °C. Results showed that the survival was significantly lower at 5000 mg L?1 than at other salinity levels, but the final wet weight under 5000 mg L?1 treatment was significantly higher than those under other treatments (P<0.05). Feed intake (FI) of shrimp under 5000 mg L?1 was significantly lower than those of shrimp under 150 00–40 000 mg L?1; food conversion efficiency (FCE), however, showed a contrasting change (P<0.05). Furthermore, salinity significantly influenced the oxygen consumption rates, ammonia‐N excretion rates and the O/N ratio of test shrimps (P<0.05). The results obtained in our work provide evidence that L. vannamei juveniles have limited capacity to tolerate salinities <10 000 mg L?1 at a relatively low temperature (20 °C). Results also show that L. vannamei juvenile can recover from the abrupt salinity change between 15 000 and 40 000 mg L?1 within 24 h.  相似文献

This study was performed to determine the growth and survival patterns of the juvenile yellowleg shrimp Farfantepenaeus californiensis cohabiting with the green feather alga Caulerpa sertularioides over a range of temperatures (18, 22, 25, 28 and 32°C) found throughout the year in the Gulf of California. From an initial weight of 46 ± 10 mg, shrimp cohabiting with green feather algae increased in weight by an average of 0.57 (±0.07), 5.44 (±0.45), 6.36 (±0.37), 7.66 (±0.26) and 5.96 (±0.59) g at 18, 22, 25, 28 and 32°C, respectively, whereas shrimp grown without seaweed increased in weight by an average of 0.28 (±0.026), 2.66 (±0.24), 3.15 (±0.49), 4.00 (±0.67), and 3.54 (±0.09) g respectively. Statistically significant differences were observed for the growth rates of juvenile yellowleg shrimp in the presence of C. sertularioides and peak growth was observed at 28°C in experiments with macroalgae. No significant differences were observed for shrimp survival except at 32°C without macroalgae, where survival was lower. These results suggest a beneficial and growth‐promoting effect of cohabitation with live C. sertularioides on F. californiensis.  相似文献

Survival, growth and proximal body composition of juvenile Farfantepenaeus californiensis (Holmes) were examined at two dissolved oxygen concentrations (mean 5.8 and 2.6 mg L?1) and three temperatures (19 °C, 23 °C and 27 °C) for 50 days. Three replicate experiments were performed with a 12 h light/dark photoperiod. Survival was 68–85% at the lower dissolved oxygen level and 77–82% at the higher level and was not significantly affected by the treatments (P > 0.01). Growth at the lower oxygen concentration was significantly less (P < 0.01) than at the higher concentration, with growth rates of 2, 12 and 24 mg day?1 from the lowest to the highest temperature and 4, 17 and 26 mg day?1 for the three temperatures at the higher dissolved oxygen level. Body lipids were 1.2% wt/wt at the higher temperature and 2.1% wt/wt at the lower temperature, while proteins were 15.1% wt/wt at the higher temperature and 12.5% wt/wt at the lower temperature. These results indicate that low oxygen levels and low temperature significantly depress growth at this particular stage of life.  相似文献

The respiratory rates of Tawny puffer Takifugu flavidus juvenile were measured at four temperatures (20, 23, 26 and 29 °C) and seven salinities (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 g L?1). The results showed that both temperature and salinity significantly affected the oxygen consumption of tawny puffer juvenile. The oxygen consumption rate (OCR) increased significantly with an increase in the temperature from 20 to 29 °C. Over the entire experimental temperature range (20–29 °C), the Q10 value was 1.59, and the lowest Q10 value was found between 23 and 26 °C. The optimal temperature for the juvenile lies between 23 °C and 26 °C. The OCR at 25 g L?1 was the highest among all salinity treatments. The OCRs show a parabolic relationship with salinity (5–35 g L?1). From the quadratic relationship, the highest OCR was predicted to occur at 23.56 g L?1. The optimal salinity range for the juvenile is from 23 to 25 g L?1. The results of this study are useful towards facilitating an increase in the production of the species juvenile culture.  相似文献

The effect of different food items on growth and survival was assessed in four feeding experiments conducted consecutively using distinct Farfantepenaeus paulensis (Pérez‐Farfante) postlarval growing stages: (1) PL1–PL4 (i.e. from postlarvae 1‐day old to postlarvae 4 days old); and (2) PL4–PL10; (3) PL10–PL18 and (4) PL18–PL30. For each trial, 10 feeding treatments were tested in triplicate: Unf, unfed shrimp; Tt, Tetraselmis chuii; Ch, Chaetoceros calcitrans; C, commercial diet; AC, decapsulated Artemia cysts; C+Ph, commercial diet and phytoplankton combination; FA, frozen Artemia nauplii; A, live Artemia nauplii; A+Ph, Artemia nauplii and phytoplankton combination and Mix, mixture of phytoplankton, live Artemia nauplii and commercial diet. Postlarvae feed phytoplankton (i.e. Tt or Ch) exclusively exhibited low growth and survival. The best results for growth and survival were observed in the A, A+Ph and Mix treatments. Frozen Artemia nauplii was found to be suitable for younger postlarvae (PL1–10), whereas AC may be offered from PL4 to PL30. In general, the present findings indicated that even at an early postlarval stage, F. paulensis presents a high degree of carnivory, and a diet containing Artemia is recommended.  相似文献

The effects of salinity on haemolymph osmolality, oxygen consumption and ammonia excretion were investigated in adult kuruma shrimp, Marsupenaeus japonicus (Bate), at salinities of 20, 25, 30 and 35 g L?1. Haemolymph osmolality showed a positive linear relationship (r2=0.9854) with medium osmolality. The isosmotic point calculated from this relationship was 1039 mOsm kg?1, which corresponds to a salinity of approximately 35 g L?1. The slope of the regression equation was very high (0.81), suggesting that M. japonicus adults are poor osmoregulators compared with the adults of other penaeids and to conspecific young. The difference between haemolymph and medium osmolality (DOP) was lowest at 35 g L?1 and highest at 20 g L?1. Thus, the minimum DOP coincided with the isosmotic point of the shrimp. The respiration rate was significantly lower at 30 g L?1 than at the other salinities. Ammonia excretion rates were inversely related with salinity and therefore were minimal at 35 g L?1. The results of this study suggest that the optimum salinity for adult kuruma shrimp is around 30–35 g L?1 and that even minor (e.g. 5 g L?1) deviations from this optimum cause significant physiological changes. Further, the observed increases in oxygen consumption and ammonia excretion during exposure to low salinities, which indicate higher energy expenditure and amino acid catabolism for osmoregulation, respectively, suggest that the growth efficiency of M. japonicus adults may be severely compromised by hypohaline water inflow into the rearing ponds.  相似文献

对平均体重1.20±0.05g的斑节对虾(Penaeus monodon)稚虾进行为期30d的养殖试验,分别测定其在不同养殖盐度条件下的蜕壳间期、成活率、特定增长率和饲料转化率。斑节对虾的成活率在盐度5时最低,低于60%,与其它盐度试验组差异显著,而其它试验组之间差异不显著。在5~25盐度范围内,蜕壳间期随着盐度升高而延长,盐度达30以上后又缩短,25时为最大值;盐度5、10和15之间差异显著,15、20、30和35之间差异不显著。特定增长率和饲料转换率随盐度升高呈现双峰的波浪式变化趋势;特定增长率在盐度20(3.18±0.14)%·d^-1和25(2.98±0.26)%·d^-1时达到最高。蜕壳间期与生长率存在极显著的正相关关系(P〈0.001)。在盐度20、25、30时饲料转化率高,分别为(52.76±3.06)%、(54.90±5.14)%和(51.56±7.58)%,与其它盐度试验组之间差异显著。因此,斑节对虾养殖的适宜盐度应为20~30,在此条件下可实现较高的成活率、特定增长率和饲料转换率。  相似文献

Effects of temperature on food consumption, growth and oxygen consumption were estimated for the freshwater prawn Macrobrachium rosenbergii postlarvae at 23 °C, 28 °C and 33 °C in the laboratory. The results showed that the animal's initial body weight had a close linear relationship with food consumption and growth. Food consumption increased directly with temperature. Consumption rates (C; mg day?1 ind?1 ) of the 28 °C and 33 °C groups were much higher than that of the 23 °C group (P < 0.001), and the 33 °C group's consumption rate was higher than that of the 28 °C group (P < 0.05). The relationship of food consumption with temperature and initial body weight (W; mg) could be described as: C = 0.0679W + 0.185t? 3.17. Growth increased significantly with increased temperature. The relationship among specific growth rate, temperature and initial body weight was as follows: SGR = ?0.110W + 0.213t + 0.176. However, temperature showed no effect on growth efficiency. Oxygen consumption increased significantly with temperature (P < 0.01). The weight‐specific oxygen consumption rates (mg O2 g?1 h?1) at 23 °C, 28 °C and 33 °C were 0.83, 1.16 and 1.49 mg O2 g?1 h?1 for 61.92 mg M. rosenbergii.  相似文献

Total protease, trypsin and chymotrypsin activities were examined in postlarval Farfantepenaeus californiensis (Holmes) after they had been reared for 50 days at two dissolved oxygen concentrations (5.8 and 2.6 mg L−1) and three temperatures (19, 23 and 27 °C). Three replicated experiments were performed with a 12-h light/dark photoperiod. Two-way analysis of variance indicated a significant effect of temperature and oxygen (P < 0.05) on total protease and chymotrypsin activities, but no effect of oxygen was found on trypsin activity. A tendency towards increased protease, trypsin and chymotrypsin activities with acclimation temperature was observed. Total protease activity (units per mg protein) varied from 0.26 in shrimp held at 19 °C and low oxygen concentration to 1.41 in shrimp held at 23 °C and high oxygen concentration. Trypsin activity (units per mg protein) varied from 0.16 in shrimp held at 19 °C and low oxygen concentration to 0.86 in shrimp held at 27 °C and high oxygen concentration. Chymotrypsin activity (units per mg protein) varied from 0.014 in shrimp held at 19 °C and low oxygen concentration to 0.15 (units per mg protein) in shrimp held at 27 °C and low oxygen concentration. Sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) zymograms of hepatopancreas from each of the treatment groups showed numerous bands. The results suggest that different digestive protease enzymes arise as an adaptation mechanism to temperature and dissolved oxygen variations at this particular stage of life.  相似文献

To investigate the effects of temperature and salinity on filtration and oxygen consumption rate of Scapharca broughtonii spat with different growth stages. This study was conducted under six different water temperatures and five different salinity conditions. The spat were divided into three groups of different shell sizes and filtration rates were estimated by Neutral red. The results showed that in all of the three groups, the highest filtration rates appeared at 20 °C, and the highest one was 1.89±0.12 L g h?1 in the group with the lowest shell length (11.8±2.1 mm). The filtration rates in every group increased with the rise of salinity in the range from 10 to 40 g L?1, and the highest one is 2.62±0.21 L g h?1 in the lowest shell length group. The trends of oxygen consumption rates were similar to filtration rates. The highest rates were 0.189±0.003 mg g h?1 at 20 °C and 0.308±0.018 mg g h?1 at a salinity of 40 g L?1 in the group with the lowest shell length. And the results showed that the smaller the shell size, the higher the filtration and oxygen consumption rate.  相似文献

银鲳仔鱼对不同盐度的耐受力及其耗氧量的研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为研究银鲳仔鱼对环境盐度的耐受性以及盐度与个体耗氧量的关系,以2日龄和4日龄的银鲳仔鱼作为实验对象,实验时将银鲳仔鱼急性转入5、10、20、30、40、50和55等7个盐度梯度环境中进行盐度耐受力测试,以死亡率、48 h半致死盐度MLS-48、半数死亡时间DT50、平均死亡时间MDT、不投饵存活系数SAI作为耐盐指标评价银鲳仔鱼对不同盐度环境的耐受情况,并用微呼吸仪对不同盐度下仔鱼的个体耗氧量进行了测定。结果显示,低盐(盐度5)和高盐(盐度50以上)均不利于银鲳仔鱼的存活;2日龄和4日龄银鲳仔鱼MLS-48分别为盐度8.15~24.90和盐度15.54~34.97;2日龄银鲳仔鱼DT50和MDT在盐度10~30环境中显著高于其他各盐度组,4日龄银鲳仔鱼则在10~40盐度环境中显著高于其他各盐度组;2日龄银鲳仔鱼在盐度10和盐度20环境中SAI显著高于其他各盐度组,4日龄银鲳仔鱼在盐度20和盐度30环境中SAI显著高于其他各盐度组,在盐度20环境均最高。从个体耗氧量的变化结果来看,2日龄银鲳仔鱼在盐度10~30范围内没有极显著差异,而4日龄仔鱼在盐度40以下均无显著性差异,而在盐度50以上环境中2日龄和4日龄银鲳仔鱼的个体耗氧量均显著高于其他各盐度组。结果表明,银鲳仔鱼的最适盐度耐受范围为15.54~24.90,盐度升高可引起银鲳仔鱼耗氧量的升高,而在耐受范围内并无显著影响。  相似文献

The pink shrimp Farfantepenaeus brasiliensis is native in southern Brazil and is potentially suited for aquaculture. Under intensive culture, the accumulation of nitrogenous compounds results from excretion by the shrimp and from the processes of feed decomposition and nitrification. The objective of this study was to evaluate ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate toxicity effects on oxygen consumption of juvenile pink shrimp. Shrimps (initial weight 0.7 ± 0.15 g) were exposed over a period of 30 days to 50%, 100%, and 200% of the safe levels of total ammonia (TAN = 0.88 mg/L), nitrite (NO2? = 10.59 mg/L), and nitrate (NO3? = 91.20 mg/L) for the species. The specimens were individually collected and placed in respirometry chambers, where the oxygen consumption was measured over a period of two hours. Throughout the experiment there was no significant difference (p > 0.05) among treatments in terms of survival and growth. The pink shrimp juveniles exposed to nitrogen concentrations of 200% of the nitrite and nitrate safe level showed the highest oxygen consumption (p < 0.05).  相似文献

研究了大菱鲆(Scophamusmaximus)幼鱼由盐度34向低盐(盐度28、23、18、12、6)以及向高盐(盐度40)适应过程中代谢率的变化。结果表明:盐度改变后,各突变组大菱鲆幼鱼的耗氧率和排氨率都呈现出不同程度的逐渐升高趋势,随着盐度突变范围的增大,变化趋势更为明显。在突变后24h左右,各突变组大菱鲆幼鱼耗氧率出现高峰值,48h后恢复到突变前的水平,此时各实验组大菱鲆的耗氧率没有显著的差异性(P>0.05)。在突变后9~15h排氨率出现高峰值,48h后各组大菱鲆幼鱼的排氨率恢复到突变前的水平,此时各实验组大菱鲆的排氨率没有显著的差异性(P>0.05)。  相似文献

采取L49(78)安排7水平Ca2+、Mg2+、盐度正交试验,开展60d凡纳滨对虾养殖试验,通过比较凡纳滨对虾成活率、日均增长值、日均增重量及鲜味氨基酸含量,分析养殖水体中Ca2+、Mg2+、盐度三因子对凡纳滨对虾存活、生长及虾体风味的影响;采取L8(27)安排2水平Ca2+、Mg2+、盐度正交试验,分析养殖水体中Ca2+、Mg2+、盐度三因子间交互作用对凡纳滨对虾存活、生长及虾体风味的影响。结果表明:水体中Ca2+、Mg2+、盐度对成活率和虾体鲜味氨基酸都有显著影响(P<0.05),Ca2+、Mg2+对凡纳滨对虾生长具有显著影响(P<0.05),其中Mg2+对成活率影响最大,Ca2+对生长影响最大,而鲜味氨基酸受盐度影响最大。Ca2+浓度为100mg/L和400mg/L,Mg2+为1200mg/L,盐度为10时,成活率最高;Ca2+≥200mg/L与Mg2+≥300mg/L时,生长速度无明显变化,Ca2+浓度为100mg/L,Mg2+浓度为150mg/L,盐度为10~20时,体长和体质量增加最快;Ca2+、Mg2+含量与盐度越高,鲜味氨基酸含量越高,Ca2+浓度为400mg/L,Mg2+浓度为750mg/L,盐度为35和20时,风味氨基酸含量最高;低盐、低钙、低镁水体显著降低了凡纳滨对虾的生长存活;Ca2+与Mg2+对成活率及体质量日均增长具有显著的交互作用影响,Ca2+与盐度对成活率具有显著的交互作用影响,Mg2+与盐度对各试验指标均没有显著影响。  相似文献

缢蛏(Sinonovaculaconstricta)分为壳长约4 0、5 0、6 0cm3组。通过实验生态学方法研究缢蛏在不同盐度和pH下的耗氧率和排氨率变化规律。结果表明,盐度对缢蛏的耗氧率和排氨率有极显著影响(F>F0.01),且缢蛏单位体重耗氧率、排氨率随其个体的增大而变小;当盐度为6~30时,缢蛏的耗氧率和排氨率呈1个峰值变化,在盐度22时均达到最大值。pH对缢蛏的耗氧率无显著影响(FF0.01),此时,缢蛏的排氨率出现1个峰值变化,当pH为8时达到最大值。  相似文献

The effect of biofilm was assayed for Farfantepenaeus brasiliensis postlarvae fed with commercial pellets. Indoor tanks in a zero water exchange system were used, considering: shrimp fed with biofilm and commercial feed (B+F), and shrimp fed only with commercial feed (F); both receiving polyethylene sheets as artificial substrates. For B+F, sheets were placed 15 days before the trial into a heterotrophic medium (containing diatom Thalassiosira weissflogii, commercial feed, molasses and wheat bran in a 20 C:1 N ratio) to promote biofilm development. For F, clean sheets were used and daily replaced to avoid biofilm formation. Biofilm chlorophyll a concentration, micro‐organisms density and water quality were determined weekly. Also, a stomach content analysis was made. An increase in chlorophyll a concentration was observed in biofilm during the experiment, characterized mainly by pennate diatoms, filamentous cyanobacteria, flagellates, ciliates, nematodes and rotifers. Most of these items were found in the stomach of shrimp; however, no significant differences in growth were detected between treatments. Survival was significantly higher and nitrite concentrations were significantly lower when biofilm was present. The results indicate that the use of biofilm could be considered a good tool during F. brasiliensis nursery phase, mainly by improving survival through the maintenance of water quality.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to examine proteinases and peptidases from the hepatopancreas of two sub‐adult stages of Farfantepenaeus subtilis: SAS6 (5.93 ± 0.69 g wet weight) and SAS13 (13.26 ± 0.60 g wet weight). Trypsin and chymotrypsin activity was higher in the extract from the SAS6 individuals (P < 0.05). The highest activity among aminoacyl‐β‐naphthylamide substrates was found using alanine‐, arginine‐, leucine‐ and lysine‐β‐naphthylamide. There was a positive correlation between the recommended concentration of essential amino acids in penaeid shrimp feed and aminopeptidase activity in both sub‐adult stages. Proteolytic activity of F. subtilis was strongly inhibited by specific trypsin inhibitors. The optimal temperature for trypsin, chymotrypsin and leucine aminopeptidase activity was between 45 and 55 °C. Six and seven bands were found in caseinolytic zymograms for SAS6 and SAS13 respectively. All bands were inhibited by phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride in both sub‐adult stages. The use of tosyl‐lysine‐chloromethyl‐ketone and benzamidine caused strong inhibition of the proteolytic bands. Trypsin and chymotrypsin activity was the main difference observed between the protease pattern of SAS6 and SAS13F. subtilis.  相似文献

测定不同温度(15℃、20℃、25℃、30℃)和盐度(16、21、26、31、36)对橄榄蚶(Estellarca olivacea)呼吸和排泄的影响。结果表明,温度和盐度对橄榄蚶的耗氧率和排氨率都有显著影响(P<0.05)。在15~30℃范围内,橄榄蚶单位软体干质量耗氧率(OR)、排氨率(NR)都随温度的升高而升高,变化范围分别为0.37~0.65 mg/(g.h)和1.74~3.15μmol/(g.h);耗氧率和排氨率与温度(t)之间的相关方程分别为:ORT[mg/(g.h)]=0.323 4e0.1765t(R2=0.9755,P<0.05);NRT[μmol/(g.h)]=1.3788e0.1986t(R2=0.9784,P<0.05)。在16~36盐度范围内,橄榄蚶单位软体干质量耗氧率和排氨率开始时随盐度的升高而降低,在盐度26时达到最小值,然后随盐度的升高而升高,变化范围分别为0.43~0.60 mg/(g.h)和1.75~3.26μmol/(g.h);耗氧率和排氨率与盐度(s)之间的相关方程分别为:ORS[mg/(g.h)]=0.0014s2-0.0751s 1.4312(R2=0.9455,P<0.05,n=30);NRS[μmol/(g.h)]=0.0105s2-0.5728s 9.7114(R2=0.9285,P<0.05,n=30)。  相似文献

为了研究饱食和饥饿状态下温度(24、27、30和33℃)、盐度(15、20、25、30和33)对云龙石斑鱼幼鱼(Epinephelus groupers)耗氧率(OCR)和排氨率(AER)的影响,采用密闭流水式呼吸实验方法对OCR和AER进行了测定。结果显示:饱食和饥饿状态下,温度、盐度对云龙石斑鱼幼鱼OCR和AER影响均显著(P0.05);当温度为24℃~33℃时,饱食状态下的OCR和AER分别比饥饿状态的提高30.29%~131.84%和131.82%~316.19%。饱食状态下,氧氮比(O∶N)、蛋白质供能比(PSR)、Q10(呼吸)、Q10(代泄)分别为12.54~20.18、27.74%~48.48%、1.21、1.60;而在饥饿状态下分别为25.77~35.90、19.49%~27.19%、1.87、3.41;当盐度为15~33时,饱食状态下OCR和AER分别比饥饿状态的提高100.41%~128.21%、182.19%~382.83%。饱食状态下,O∶N、PSR分别为13.32~20.72、39.47%~49.42%,而在饥饿状态下分别为29.18~30.98、22.59%~23.98%。研究表明,云龙石斑鱼幼鱼的最适生长温度为24℃~27℃,最适生长盐度为30~33。  相似文献
