Soil organic matter (SOM) content is one of the main factors to be considered in the evaluation of soil health and fertility. As timing, human and monetary resources often limit the amount of available data, geostatistical techniques provide a valid scientific approach to cope with spatial variability, to interpolate existing data and to predict values at unsampled locations for accurate SOM status survey. Using geostatistical and geographic information system (GIS) approaches, the spatial variability of some physical and chemical soil parameters was investigated under Mediterranean climatic condition in the Abruzzo region of central Italy, where soil erosion processes accelerated by human induced factors are the main causes of soil degradation associated with low SOM content. Experimental semivariograms were established to determine the spatial dependence of the soil variables under investigation. The results of 250 soil sampling point data were interpolated by means of ordinary kriging coupled with a GIS to produce contour maps distribution of soil texture, SOM content related to texture, and C/N ratio. The resulting spatial interpolation of the dataset highlighted a low content of SOM in relation with soil texture in most of the surveyed area (87%) and an optimal C/N ratio for only half of the investigated surface area. Spatial location of degraded area and the assessment of its magnitude can provide decision makers with an accurate support to design appropriate soil conservation strategies and then facilitate a regional planning of agri-environmental measures in the framework of the European Common Agricultural Policy.  相似文献

The stability of aggregates in the surface soil is crucial to soil erosion and runoff generation. Thus, to understand the stability and the breakdown mechanisms of soil aggregates as well as the relationship between aggregate stability and selected soil chemical properties, such as different forms of Fe and Al oxides, organic matter, CEC and clay content, the aggregates of slightly and severely eroded red soils derived from Quaternary red clay in subtropical China were analyzed using the routine wet sieving and the Le Bissonnais methods. The results indicated that the aggregates of the severely eroded soils were more stable than those of the slightly eroded soils. Different aggregate breakdown mechanisms resulted in different particle size distribution. The slaking from entrapped air in aggregates severely destroyed the soil aggregates, especially in the slightly eroded soils. Meanwhile, mechanical breakdown and microcracking had little effect on the aggregates compared to slaking. The fragments resulting from slaking were mainly microaggregates that increased in size with increasing clay content. The main fragment size of the slightly eroded soils was 1.0-0.2 mm, while for the severely eroded soils it was 5.0-2.0 mm and 1.0-0.5 mm. Overall, more than 20% of the fragments were smaller than 0.2 mm. In addition, aggregate stability was positively and often significantly correlated with Fed, Ald, Feo and clay content, but significantly and negatively correlated to SOC.  相似文献

The effects of slope aspects on soil biogeochemical properties and plant communities in forested environments have been studied extensively; however, slope aspect influence on soil microbial communities remains largely unexamined, despite the central role of soil biota in ecosystem functioning. In this study, the communities of both soil bacteria and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) were investigated using tagged pyrosequencing for three types of slope aspects (south-facing aspect, north-facing aspect and flat area) in a boreal forest of the Greater Khingan Mountains, China. The bacterial and AMF community composition differed with slope aspects. Bacterial diversity was the lowest on the north-facing aspect, and AMF diversity was the lowest on the flat area. Aspects also had a significant impact on soil pH and available phosphorus (P) and shrubby biomass. Soil pH and understory shrub biomass were significantly correlated with bacterial communities, and soil available P and shrub biomass showed significant correlations with AMF communities. Our results suggested that slope aspects affected bacterial and AMF communities, mediated by aspect-induced changes in plant community and soil chemical properties (e.g., pH and available P), which improved the knowledge on the effects of forest slope aspects on aboveground and belowground communities.  相似文献

基于GIS和GPS定位技术,结合网格取样,用地统计学方法研究了褐土烟区土壤有效态微量元素养分(速效Fe、速效Mn、速效Cu、速效Zn)的空间变异规律,并绘制了微量养分空间分布图。结果表明:土壤速效微量养分在整个研究区内均表现出中等变异水平,其变异性大小表现为:速效Zn速效Mn速效Cu速效Fe。除速效Mn外,其他微量元素都表现出很强的空间结构性,速效Cu、Zn变程较短,分别为182m和175m,速效Mn变程较长为850m。基于半方差函数模型,用普通克里格法对研究区土壤速效微量养分进行了克里格插值,结果表明:速效Fe在研究区内普遍缺乏,速效Mn、速效Cu含量中等偏高,而速效Zn含量在整个研究区表现出明显的差异性。  相似文献

以浙江乐清市乐成镇为研究区域,采用地统计学和地理信息系统(GIS)相结合的方法,对土壤中有效态Fe、Mn、Cu、Zn和B含量的空间变异规律及其影响因素进行研究。描述性统计结果表明,土壤中微量元素Fe、Mn、B含量属于中等变异,Cu、Zn属于强变异。描述空间变异的半方差函数分析表明,Fe、Zn和B的最适模型是球状模型,Mn为指数模型,Cu为线性模型;Fe、Mn、Zn和B的块基比均小于25%,表明具有强烈的空间相关性,Cu的块基比大于75%,表明Cu含量具有较弱的空间相关性。土壤微量元素含量空间分布总体上呈现由东部向西部递减的趋势,其中Fe、Mn和B明显表现出连续分布的特点,Cu、Zn的分布没有明显的规律。土壤类型对Mn、Cu的含量有着显著影响,水稻土中Mn、Cu的含量显著高于红壤;土壤养分和微量元素的相关性分析可知,Fe与土壤pH、OM、全氮、碱解氮以及速效钾呈极显著相关,Mn、B与pH、速效磷和速效钾之间有显著或者极显著的相关性,Cu仅与速效钾显著相关,Zn的含量受土壤养分的影响较小,没有达到显著水平。  相似文献

Chemical transformation, nutrient release and changes in the energy content of decomposing rape, sunflower and soybean residues confined in buried fiberglass bags were assessed in a laboratory study during a 340-day incubation period. The organic C decreased by about 70% while total N, after initial decay, remained almost constant for each type of residue. The NH4+-N was progressively oxidized and, consequently, the NO3--N increased. The C/N ratio narrowed with loss of C. Hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin decreased with different trends for each crop residue. The energy content, was reduced to about 25% in rape, 30% in sunflower and 20% in soybean residues. Total P, K, Ca and Mg contents decreased for each type of residue. The results suggest that the three residues could improve the nutrient pool of the soil.  相似文献

Several methods,including stepwise regression,ordinary kriging,cokriging,kriging with external drift,kriging with varying local means,regression-kriging,ordinary artificial neural networks,and kriging combined with artificial neural networks,were compared to predict spatial variation of saturated hydraulic conductivity from environmental covariates.All methods except ordinary kriging allow for inclusion of secondary variables.The secondary spatial information used was terrain attributes including elevation,slope gradient,slope aspect,profile curvature and contour curvature.A multiple jackknifing procedure was used as a validation method.Root mean square error (RMSE) and mean absolute error (MAE) were used as the validation indices,with the mean RMSE and mean MAE used to judge the prediction quality.Prediction performance by ordinary kriging was poor,indicating that prediction of saturated hydraulic conductivity can be improved by incorporating ancillary data such as terrain variables.Kriging combined with artificial neural networks performed best.These prediction models made better use of ancillary information in predicting saturated hydraulic conductivity compared with the competing models.The combination of geostatistical predictors with neural computing techniques offers more capability for incorporating ancillary information in predictive soil mapping.There is great potential for further research and development of hybrid methods for digital soil mapping.  相似文献

Soil salinity and hydrologic datasets were assembled to analyze the spatio-temporal variability of salinization in Fengqiu County, Henan Province, China, in the alluvial plain of the lower reaches of the Yellow River. The saline soil and groundwater depth data of the county in 1981 were obtained to serve as a historical reference. Electrical conductivity (EC) of 293 surface soil samples taken from 2 km × 2 km grids in 2007 and 40 soil profiles acquired in 2008 was analyzed and used for comparative mapping. Ordinary kriging was applied to predict EC at unobserved locations to derive the horizontal and vertical distribution patterns and variation of soil salinity. Groundwater table data from 22 observation wells in 2008 were collected and used as input for regression kriging to predict the maximum groundwater depth of the county in 2008. Changes in the groundwater level of Fengqiu County in 27 years from 1981 to 2008 was calculated. Two quantitative criteria, the mean error or bias (ME) and the mean squared error (MSE), were computed to assess the estimation accuracy of the kriging predictions. The results demonstrated that the soil salinity in the upper soil layers decreased dramatically and the taxonomically defined saline soils were present only in a few micro-landscapes after 27 years. Presently, the soils with relatively elevated salt content were mainly distributed in depressions along the Yellow River bed. The reduction in surface soil salinity corresponded to the locations with deepened maximum groundwater depth. It could be concluded that groundwater table recession allowed water to move deeper into the soil profile, transporting salts with it, and thus played an important role in reducing soil salinity in this region. Accumulation of salts in the soil profiles at various depths below the surface indicated that secondary soil salinization would occur when the groundwater was not controlled at a safe depth.  相似文献

对青海省黄土丘陵区土壤中主要微量元素的空间变异特征及动态变化进行了研究。结果表明,研究区域中的有效态微量元素铁、铜、锌、硼均属较高变异,有效锰属于中度或高度变异。从土系来看,黑褐土、黑钙土的各有效态微量元素含量均达到丰富级(高),灌淤土的有效态微量元素均远低于临界值。从土壤分层来看,其变异系数变化不大。灌木林地土壤微量元素相对缺乏,仅有效硼达丰富级,混交林地的有效态微量元素含量均达到中高水平。  相似文献

In the light of an increasing demand for staple food, especially rice, in southeast China, investigations on the specific site potential expressed as the relationship between soil and crop yield parameters gain increasing importance. Soil texture and several soil chemical parameters as well as plant properties such as crop height, biomass and grain yield were investigated along two terraced catenas with contrasting soil textures cropped with wet rice. We were aiming at identifying correlative relationships between soil and crop properties. Data were analyzed both statistically and geostatistically on the basis of semivariograms. Statistical analysis indicated a significant influence of the relief position on the spatial distribution of soil texture, total carbon and total nitrogen contents. Significant correlations were found for the catena located in a sandstone area (Catena A) between rice yield and silt as well as total nitrogen content. Corresponding relationships were not detectable for paddy fields that developed from Quaternary clays (Catena B). As suggested by the nugget to sill ratio, spatial variability of soil texture, total carbon and nitrogen was mainly controlled by intrinsic factors, which might be attributed to the erosional transport of fine soil constituents, indicating the importance of the relief position and slope in soil development even in landscapes that are terraced. The crop parameters exhibited short ranges of influence and about one third of their variability was unexplained. Comparable ranges Of selected crop and soil parameters, found only for Catena A, are indicative of close spatial interactions between rice yield and soil features. Our findings show that especially in sandstone-dominated areas, a site-specific management can contribute to an environmentally safe rice production increase.  相似文献

Due to the existence of gravelly soils and the lack of sufficient research on such soils, this study was carried out on a gravelly calcareous soil. Selected physico–chemical and hydraulic soil attributes were determined at 69 points on a nested-sampling design. Hydraulic characteristics including unsaturated hydraulic conductivity (K ψ) and sorptivity coefficient (S) at six applied tensions of 0 to 0.2 m, and sorptive number (α) and macroscopic capillary length (λ) at five applied tensions of 0.03 to 0.2 m were determined using a tension disc infiltrometer. Hydraulic and chemical soil attributes were the highest and the lowest variants, respectively. The maximum and minimum values for the coefficient of variation (CV) in all the measured physico-chemical and hydraulic soil attributes were obtained for α0.2 and soil pH, respectively. Minimum, maximum, mean and variance values of K ψ, S and α decreased as applied tension increased. Although the pattern was reversed for λ. The majority of soil attributes showed the spatial structure with dominant spherical and exponential models for physico-chemical and hydraulic attributes, respectively. Range values of semi-variograms were obtained between 4.6 m (for α0.03) and 211 m (for clay, gravel content and soluble Mg). In general, range values were 99.60, 82.05 and 40.2 m for physical, chemical and hydraulic soil attributes, respectively, indicating that the physical soil attributes influenced neighboring values over greater distances than the other soil attributes. This enables soil scientists to use measured soil physical data over greater distances to estimate attributes in the unsampled locations.  相似文献

采用地统计学和GIS相结合的方法,对太行山山前平原城郊区不同水源灌溉条件下土壤磁化率的空间变异性进行研究,并探讨了土壤磁畴状态。结果表明:不同水源灌溉条件下,土壤磁化率均服从正态分布;在一定范围内均存在空间相关性,半方差函数均符合球状模型,具有中等变异程度;变程变化在5.14~10.08 km。污灌区和清灌区的土壤磁化率差异明显,东西(EW)和西北—东南(NW-SE)方向的变异最大,土壤磁性物质主要为细的超顺磁颗粒。  相似文献

Intensified field management in orcahrds has resulted in significant and widespread acidification in the soils. However, effectively mapping the spatial patterns of soil pH aiming to support ecological management is impeded by its large variotions across soil types and planting durations. Kriging methods were used to integrate soil type and planting duration information for effective mapping of orchard soil pH in a case study in orchards of the Northeast Jiaodong Peninsula, East China. A total of 1 472 surface soil samples were collected, and the planting duration of each sampled orchard was acquired to generate a planting duration map via Voronoi tessellations. The performance of five kriging methods was compared, namely, ordinary kriging (OK), OK combined with soil type (OK_ST), OK combined with planting duration (OK_PD), cokriging combined with soil type and planting duration (OCK_STPD), and OK combined with soil type and planting duration (OK_STPD). Results showed that soil pH declined significantly with increasing planting duration and exhibited moderate spatial variability over the study area. Soil type and planting duration both had significant influence on the spatial distribution of soil pH. The OCK_STPD and OK_STPD methods showed better prediction efficiency than OK, OK_ST, or OK_PD. With regard to the predicted maps of soil pH, the OCK_STPD and OK_STPD methods highly reflected local variations associated with soil type and planting duration, but the OK method was poorly representative. Categorical soil type and planting duration information may be used as ancillary information to improve the mapping quality of orchard soil pH. The OCK_STPD and OK_STPD methods were practical and efficient methods for interpolating orchard soil pH in the study area. The resultant high-quality soil pH maps can contribute to improved site-specific management in the orchards.  相似文献

以嘉善县陶庄农场内一块0.52hm2的水稻田为研究区,采用地统计方法和常规统计方法进行土壤pH及养分(全氮、全碳、速效钾、速效磷、速效镁、速效锰、速效铜、速效锌)的空间变异及其合理取样数目研究。结果表明,各土壤养分在田间尺度均存在一定的空间变异,全氮、全碳、速效钾、速效磷等主要养分的空间格局呈南北向条带状,与农户经营田块的方向基本一致;不同农户耕种、管理下的4田块的土壤养分差异显著;反映土壤肥力的土壤全碳、全氮等养分的合理取样数目在95%的置信度和5%的相对误差条件下为45~个,基本上每个农户经营田块为1个,即可反映土壤养分的真实情况。因此,试验区以N素管理为主的精确田间管理的土壤采样可以采用以农户经营地块为单位的混合样采样方式,以减少土壤采样量和分析成本。  相似文献

以江苏省扬州市区北部某梯田为例,分析了小于2°的缓坡水平梯田土壤含水率的空间变异特征,并针对缓坡水平梯田土壤含水率由较高田块到较低田块逐渐增加、同一级梯田内由内侧到外侧含水率逐渐减小的分布特征,提出了适合研究该种地形土壤含水率空间分布的有效方法,即趋势辅助克立格法(简记为KTAI)。该方法同时考虑了不同级梯田高程和同级田块内不同部位对土壤含水率的影响,用它对梯田土壤含水率进行插值,估计方差比传统的普通克立格法(简记为OK)大幅度降低,大大提高了估值精度,减轻了野外采样工作量,对于研究梯田土壤水分空间变异性具有重要意义,同时拓展了地质统计学理论在土壤水分空间变异性研究中的应用范围。  相似文献

High quality, agricultural nutrient distribution maps are necessary for precision management, but depend on initial soil sample analyses and interpolation techniques. To examine the methodologies for and explore the capability of interpolating soil properties based on neural network ensemble residual kriging, a silage field at Hayes, Northern Ireland, UK, was selected for this study with all samples being split into independent training and validation data sets. The training data set, comprised of five soil properties: soil pH, soil available P, soil available K, soil available Mg and soil available S,was modeled for spatial variability using 1) neural network ensemble residual kriging, 2) neural network ensemble and 3) kriging with their accuracies being estimated by means of the validation data sets. Ordinary kriging of the residuals provided accurate local estimates, while final estimates were produced as a sum of the artificial neural network (ANN) ensemble estimates and the ordinary kriging estimates of the residuals. Compared to kriging and neural network ensemble,the neural network ensemble residual kriging achieved better or similar accuracy for predicting and estimating contour maps. Thus, the results demonstrated that ANN ensemble residual kriging was an efficient alternative to the conventional geo-statistical models that were usually used for interpolation of a data set in the soil science area.  相似文献

Abstract. Simulated estimates of crop yield were made for rainfed rice in a 50 ha dryland rice area. The aim was to investigate how soil units and management units of different sizes with different yields could be used to obtain values for areas of land. Two procedures were applied. First, yields were simulated at six sites, that were representative of six soil mapping units. Second, yields were simulated using soil information from 133 auger sites, and were interpolated over management units using block kriging. Differences between the two procedures for the total area and for a test set of 22 additionally sampled locations were small. A 60% increase in precision was achieved when relatively large management units were defined.
A Geographical Information System was used to identify areas with greatest yield potential for rainfed dryland rice. Statistical analysis showed that the six soil units could be grouped into three yield classes. The largest yields were obtained for a sub-area comprising 11% of the survey area which was associated with a slowly permeable Bg horizon in the soil profile.
It was concluded that the best procedure for the spatial interpolation of simulated rice yield should be based on preliminary simulation of crop yields. A sensitivity analysis of the impact of weather variability and soil heterogeneity on the variation of yield was useful to detect the importance of their contributions. The procedures developed in this study are of value in obtaining a reliable estimate of average yield, and can consequently be used for associated cost-benefit calculations.  相似文献
