Humanistic Design of Campus Waterscapes:a Case study of the Ruzi Lake Landscape Architecture Design of Ludong University

This is a study case of the Ruzi River landscape architecture design of Ludong University.According to the principles of no-pollution,ecologicalization,culture-orientation,sustain ability,adaptation to local conditions and practicability,the campus is made a place for study and leisure for teachers and students with the application of China's classical garden design techniques such as "opposite scenery", "background image themed scenery", "four seasons landscaping", "landscape levels" and "screen view".Based on this example,this paper has made an in-deep research on landscape architecture design of universities.     

Creating a Highly Adaptable Building Space-Discussion on Modern Hospital Building Design

The hospital design is a highly specialized and sophisticated one; meanwhile, a "highly adaptable building space" to meet the developing demands for hospital building space is put forward with the hospital building as a research objective. In this paper, two basic features of the highly adaptable building space-multi-suitability and changeability are analyzed, according to the practice of hospital building design. The design methods and steps of "highly adaptable building space" are explored.     

“Place Making”in Urban Complex Design: A Case Study of Tianfu Pearl Design Scheme

This paper introduced basic situation and challenges of Block 9, Dongdajie, Chengdu City, expounded basic definition and design concept of "place making", briefed the design scheme from three aspects, namely planning layout, space environment and architectural style, and concluded the application of the idea of "place making" in Block 9 design scheme in view of the multi-functional urban complex with high plot ratio.     

Development of Design and Art Education Model in China

Teaching and practice characteristics of design and art specialty were explored, history and training objectives of design and art education in China reviewed, current situation and major problems of Chinese design and art education model analyzed. Considering experience of foreign art and design education, the paper proposed that studio construction and "Double-teacher system" were the keys to the development of design and art education model, and elaborated implementation methods and signifi cance of the construction.     

Study on Integrated Design of Building Facilities in Scenic Areas

The authors begin with traditional architectural design methodology,review basic theories and development trends of architectural designs from the ancient times to the present.On the basis of combining traditional oriental integral view,modern architectural design and landscape design theories,current construction of building facilities in scenic areas are analyzed,integrated design of the building facilities is proposed,and"integrated design system"further analyzed to offer effective references and theoretical support for the design and construction of building facilities in scenic areas.     

Brake 3D Models Parameterized Design

Aiming toovercome thelimitation of the traditional design methods of automobile parts, this paper presents a design and analysis method based on "Soft Prototype". By developing a professional CAD system Drum Brake Design and Analysis System, the authors researched the design method of "Virtual Products" and the technologies of parameterized modeling. During the development of software, some new methods are presented. In this CAD system, the database, graphical browser and designing module are united perfectly, and parameters are utilized to create models. Such a system can greatly improve design efficiency and reduce the time of new products development

In this paper, taking the project of the Teaching Hospital of Medical Research Institute in Chongqing University, the one of the reconstruction of original building, as an example, the design methods in the course of location, planning and building design as well as detail design under the design principle "Making Good Use of the Situation for Reasonable Optimization" are expounded.     

Reconsideration of "Theory of Figure -Ground Relation"

In this paper,the basic feature of the theory of "figure-ground relation" is sought through preliminary introduction of the theory and contrastive analysis on spaces of traditional cities and current cities.At the same time,the authors point out the reality of misapprehension and misapplication of "figure-ground relation" to the theory and practice of current urban design.In conclusion,the adaptability of the theory of "figure-ground relation" to current urban design is preliminarily discussed by combining the basic feature of the theory with concrete cases.

From the point of psychological state programming research for the main teaching district special renewing of Tsinghua University,this essay approaches how to apply the theory and method of "SD" architectural programming to the practice.As a result,an innovative conceptual design proposal has come out.This paper also illustrates that the key factor to rational design is the application of the theory and method of "SD"architectural programming.

The Architecture Design Based on the Landscape Conditions: Taking the Architectural Design of Subsidence Area for Example

The relationship between architecture and people, architecture and city, architecture and nature has always been the soul of architectural design. In the architectural design, study on the relationship between architecture and nature needs "site analysis"(mapping), and "natural environment" tends to affect the design results[1]. In many special areas, the design needs analysis of geology, geomorphology, hydrology, vegetation and other landscape elements. Coal mining subsidence area is the product of the conf licts between human activities and natural environment in the process of industrialization. Strategy Analysis of Improving Executive Ability of Subject and Object in Landscape Design Teaching

In view of the relationship between executive ability and landscape design teaching, the paper put forward that the executive ability is a key factor restricting teaching effects of landscape design, and then analyzed factors influencing executive ability of subject-object (teachers and students) in the teaching. Aiming at these factors, executive ability of teachers and students in landscape design teaching could be improved by modifying teaching management system, teacher training, developing the role of "project-oriented learning" in shaping the executive ability, and cultivating students' self-study ability, so as to improve the teaching effect of landscape design.

With the aging of society,special groups have had increasing needs of integrating into social life,and higher requirements on life quality,and the society has attached increasing importance to barrier-free design.Taking public rental housing for example,both circulation space and furniture design have to fully consider needs of special groups such as the seniors and the disabled.Barrier-free design in living spaces can help improve their ability of self-care,reduce their dependence on family members,fully demonstrate the"human-centered"design concept of public rental housing,and show the designers’sense of social responsibility.     

VR-based Urban Landscape Artistic Design

"Digital City" has gradually emerged,promoting the digitalization of urban landscape design,and meanwhile,virtual reality (VR) technology allowing us to create and experience the virtual world has come into reality.The use of VR technology in the urban landscape design,and interactive 3D dynamic view,multi-source information fusion and system simulation of the entity behavior will be beneficial to generate the simulation environment of urban landscape design on the computer,and guide the scientific development of urban landscape design.On this basis,this article analyzed the connotation of VR technology and basic characteristics of urban landscape artistic design based on the overview of previous studies on the urban landscape design in multiple aspects,and further explored the application of key technology in the VR-based simulation of urban landscape artistic design,to provide the reference and idea for urban landscape design,and improve overall effect of urban landscape artistic design.     

Design Concept of Drama Stage-style Architecture

Homology of drama and architecture in the early development stage decides the close relationship between both,drama stage design and architectural structural design always apply different approaches but achieve equally satisfactory results.Stage layout and structural design often use architectural symbols,and application of architectural symbols in drama is a common approach of stage art design.But the designer of Jiuzhai Paradise International Conference and Resort Center-the project won Lu Ban Award did exactly the opposite by taking drama elements such as time,figures,location and plot to the "stage" of architecture,and telling visitors a story between traditional Tibetan,Qiang culture and primitive forest life over one thousand years,he indeed created a unique classic architecture using the concept of drama stage design.
