Summary

Generally F1 hybrids from crosses between japonica and indica rice show variable degrees of sterility. Previous studies revealed that among the indica rice, the Aus type has sexual affinity with japonica cultivars giving higher fertility in F1 hybrids. Therefore, we made an effort to obtain higher grain yield by producing F1 hybrids between japonica and Aus-type indica. A field experiment was conducted to investigate the heterosis in these F1 hybrids for dry matter accumulation, spikelet fertility, yield and yield attributes, to find cross combinations with higher grain yield, and examined the relationships of grain yield with some agronomic characters. F1 hybrids flowered earlier than their parent cultivars. Heterosis for dry matter accumulation was positive at the panicle initiation stage, at heading and at maturity. The average heterosis for number of panicles, grain and straw yield per plant, number of spikelets per panicle and 1000-grain weight was positive. A few F1 hybrids showed positive heterosis for number of filled grains per panicle, spikelet fertility and harvest index; but the average heterosis for these traits was negative. Among the yield components, a higher number of panicles per plant and higher number of spikelet per panicle contributed to higher grain yield in F1 hybrids. A significant and positive relationship existed between spikelet fertility and grain yield per plant. The higher grain yield was attributed to higher dry matter production rather than higher harvest index in F1 hybrids, although low spikelet fertility limited yield potential in some F1 hybrids.  相似文献

Summary

Photosynthetic ability in terms of CO2 exchange rate and leaf area, dry matter accumulation (dry weight) and other important growth components along with yield and yield contributing characters in two F1 hybrids of Akebono × Chiyonishiki (A × C) and Zenith × Akebono (Z × A) were studied. The photosynthetic rate at the flowering stage was lower than that at the panicle initiation stage in all the inbred parent cultivars and F1 hybrids. Heterosis in photosynthetic rate was higher at the panicle initiation stage than that at the flowering stage. Pre-anthesis leaf area in the F1 hybrid was significantly larger than that in the parent cultivars. However, the post- anthesis decline in leaf area was more rapid in the F1 hybrids than in the parent cultivars and its magnitude was the highest in the F1 hybrid of Z × A which was tall having long and curved panicles. Pre-anthesis dry matter accumulation in both hybrids was significantly higher in the F1 plants than the parental cultivars, but post-anthesis dry matter accumulation in the F1 hybrid was lower than the mid-parental value in Z × A. The degree of heterosis in grain yield varied with the hybrid combination, an average heterosis being 1.03. Heterosis in grain yield was closely associated with heterosis in harvest index.  相似文献

Abstract

The 15N - labeled technique was used to study the stock, transformation, fate and utilization efficiency of N in the farming–pig husbandry–biogas ecosystem in rice areas. It was shown that the crude protein digestibility of the ensilaged milk vetch by pig was 53.76%, the recovery rates of ensilaged milk vetch N from the pig feces and urine were 39.36% and 24.71%, respectively. The recovery rate of biogas fermentation N of pig feces and urine was 97.9%. The quantity of alkali-hydrolysable N was 2.6 times as great as before the fermentation. The mixed application of milk vetch, biogas-tank sludge and chemical fertilizer could promote N partitioning to rice grain, therefore it was advantageous to yield improvement. The residual quantity in soil of the fertilizer N was equivalent to 2.0 - 2.5 times that of only chemical fertilizer and yet gaseous loss N of the latter was 2.6-8.2 times that of the former. The comprehensive economic effect of the whole ecosystem increased by times, compared with the only milk vetch-early rice-late rice pattern, and ecological effect and social effect were also very prominent.  相似文献

本研究利用6个普通小麦品系与14个从国外引进的斯卑尔脱小麦杂交,研究了种间杂种优势表现,并探讨了扩大杂交小麦育种亲本的遗传基础和构建种间杂种优势群的途径。连续两年的试验结果表明,普通小麦与斯卑尔脱小麦种间杂种存在较强的杂种优势。就平均优势而言,单株产量,单穗产量和千粒重优势最大,分别为111.39%,62.77%,45.72%,单株穗数,株高和主穗粒数优势次之,分别为24.13%,20.18%和12.76%,主穗小穗数和主穗长优势较小,分别为4.08%和0.67%。研究还发现,种间杂种抽穗斯比母本普通小麦晚0-6d,但较父本斯卑尔脱小麦提前20d左右,表明早熟性呈部分显性遗传;蛋白质含量,沉淀值和湿面筋含量的杂种优势比普通小麦分别提高了8.55%,12.13%和9.91%,一些组合沉淀表现超亲优势,说明利用普通小麦与斯卑尔脱尔脱小麦种田杂交既可以扩大小麦亲本间的遗传差异,又可以显著提高小麦的杂种优势潜力。  相似文献

Summary

To characterize the protection effect of silicon against excessive transpiration in rice plants (Oryza sativa L.), we investigated the factors responsible for transpiration, such as cuticular conductance (gc), leaf surface wax content (WC), and stomatal movement in response to environmental stimuli, using leaves of plants grown in nutrient solution with silicon (+Si) and without silicon (–Si). The rate of transpiration of whole plants (E) under field conditions was clearly reduced by application of silica. The gc of –Si leaves under precisely regulated conditions was 33% higher than that of +Si leaves, reflecting higher adaxial gc. Silicon has little effect on WC, a factor responsible for regulation of cuticular resistance to water flux in rice leaves. These results suggest that silicon is one of the main factors responsible for regulation of gc, but that its effect was not due to an increase in the WG. Leaf conductance (gl) of –Si leaves tended to decrease more slowly than that of +Si leaves over time after changes from high to low light intensity. Moreover, it was always higher over the entire duration of the experiment, irrespective of irradiation intensity. The gl of –Si leaves was higher at lower relative humidity (RH) and the initial response to a subsequent increase in RH was slower than that of +Si leaves. A comparison of gl and gc between +Si and –Si leaves showed that the higher gl of –Si leaves was due to higher stomatal conductance. These results indicated that the reduction in E by application of silica was mainly attributable to reduction in the rate of transpiration through stomatal pores.  相似文献

Brazilian castor bean (Ricinus communis L) crops have expanded towards semiarid lands, in which soil salinity is an important factor limiting plant development. In order to evaluate the effects of salt stress on leaf gas exchange, pigments, and dry matter accumulation of seedlings, seeds of castor bean var. BRS Nordestina were planted in 15-L pots filled with 13 kg of soil (control) or with soil plus 2 g NaCl kg−1 soil corresponding to 30 mM NaCl (salt treatment). Seedlings were grown under greenhouse conditions and the effects of salinity were assessed by measuring physiological parameters at 38 and 59 days after germination. Salt treatment induced decreases in leaf water potential at pre-dawn (ψpd, 42%), stomatal conductance to water vapor (gs, 36%), and net carbon assimilation rate (A, 24%) only at 38 days after germination. At the same time, the values for transpiration rate were unchanged and the hydraulic conductance was increased (34%). After 59 days under hypersalinity, leaf ψpd increased to −0.44 MPa, although gs, A, transpiration rate, and hydraulic conductance were not different between treatments. Salt stress effects on chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and chlorophyll a + b contents were evident only on experimental day 59. The dry matter accumulation of leaves, roots and stems, as well as the total dry matter, and the root to above ground ratio increased with plant growth in both treatments, however, these parameters were lowered in salt-stressed seedlings. In short, all physiological variables were more drastically affected after 38 days under high salinity, and despite acclimatization of A after 59 days exposure to salt, no recovery of the dry matter accumulation was observed in the seedlings, suggesting that this species does not tolerate salt stress at its initial growth stages.  相似文献

为研究不同环境下大麦单株产量性状的杂种优势及其稳定性,以113个(Nasonijo×泰兴9425)DH系配制226个杂交种构建的永久F_2群体及亲本为材料,分别调查参试材料在4个环境下的单株穗数、主穗粒数、千粒重、单株产量和单株生物量,利用方差分析、聚类分析及稳定性分析对大麦单株产量性状的杂种优势及其稳定性进行了分析。结果表明,大麦杂种F_1各被测性状大多表现中亲优势,超亲优势组合出现率相对较低。各被测性状的杂种优势不仅受自身遗传因素影响,而且受试点生态条件及年度气候条件的影响。杂种优势的稳定性因性状不同而异,千粒重和主穗粒数杂种优势的稳定性较好,单株生物量和单株产量杂种优势的稳定性较差,仅有2个组合在多环境下表现出稳定的强杂种优势。  相似文献

Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is a deep-rooted crop which can tolerate water stress and can be grown in rotation with other crop species. Nitrogen is one of the most important nutrients for the growth and development of safflower; however, the effect of N level on dry matter, accumulation, partitioning, and retranslocation has not been extensively studied. A 2-year field study was therefore conducted with the objective to determine the effect of N fertilization on crop phenology, dry matter, N accumulation, partitioning and retranslocation of safflower grown under rain-fed conditions. Three rates of N were used (0, 100, and 200 kg N ha−1) and two hybrids (CW9048 and CW9050) of safflower were selected. The experiment was conducted during the 2003–2004 (2004) and 2004–2005 (2005) growing seasons on a calcareous sandy loam (Entisols, Orthents, Typic Xerorthent) at the experimental farm of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Northern Greece. During 2004 spring was quite mild with significant rainfall whereas during 2005 spring was hotter with lower rainfall. Our study found that N fertilization increased biomass at anthesis by an average of 24% and at maturity by an average of 25% compared with the control. Total above ground biomass increased after anthesis in both years, in both hybrids and for all fertilizer treatments. N fertilization increased the dry matter partitioning in leaves + stems and heads at anthesis and also in leaves + stems, seeds, and head vegetative components at maturity. Dry matter translocation was not affected by N fertilization but lower values were found during the second year. N content was affected by the fertilization treatments and increased in those plants treated with fertilizer compared with the controls. In addition, N fertilization increased N retranslocation from the vegetative parts of the plant to the seed, but it did not affect N gain. During the second year, which was drier, there were significant N losses but also greater N translocation efficiency and higher contribution of pre-anthesis N to seed. Seed yield was correlated with the dry matter and N translocation indices, and was higher for the fertilized plants, compared with the control. The present study indicates that N fertilization promoted the growth of safflower and increased the dry matter yield, N accumulation, translocation and seed yield under rain-fed conditions.  相似文献

Genetic improvement of the digestibility of rice strew for increasing the utilization of the whole rice plant as feedstuffs is an important way to solve the feedstuffs shortage in southeastem China. To elucidate the genetic basis of the traits affecting the digestibility of rice straw, a rice population of 111 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) derived from a cross of Nekken 2xGaya was used to map the quantitative traits loci (QTLs) for in vitro dry matter digestion (IVDMD), the percentages of nonstructurel carbohydrate (NSC) and acid detergent fiber (exclusive of residual ash, ADFom) in 2005 and 2006. IVDMD was positively correlated with NSC, and negatively correlated with ADFom. A total of 16 QTLs were detected in the two years, and the amounts of variation explained by individual QTLs ranged from 6.9% to 15.5%. Some QTLs for IVDMD and ADFom on chromosome 2 were detected in the two years. On chromosome 2, the interval RM475-RM3515 contained QTLs for IVDMD in the two years and for NSC in 2006 only, while the interval RM3874-RM5305 influenced ADFom in the two years and NSC in 2005 only. At those loci, Gaya contributed favorable alleles to IVDMD and NSC, while Nekken 2 contributed positive alleles to ADFom.  相似文献

Abstract

The changes in growth, dry matter productivity and yielding ability in the course of domestication from O. breviligulata to African rice (O. glaberrima) were examined. Between the two rice species, differences were hardly detected in plant height, culm length and final leaf number, although O. breviligulata had a wider variation of these characteristics as compared with African rice. The shorter strains tended to produce more tillers at the maximum tiller number stage, and the high tillering capacity was correlated with a low percentage of productive tillers, although the strains having a small number of grains per head showed a high percentage of productive tillers, in both species. No significant difference was detected between the two species in straw weight at maturity, and the differences in straw weight among strains were attributed to the differences in days required from transplanting to heading and to plant height. No significant difference between the two species was observed in top and total weights. The grain number per head was conversely related with panicle number in both species. Although the percentage of ripened grain tended to be slightly lower in O. breviligulata than in African rice, this may be attributed partly to the difference in grain number per hill. Single grain weight in O. breviligulata was nearly equal to that in African rice. These results suggest that agronomic traits such as growth, dry matter productivity and yielding ability have been changed only slightly in the course of domestication from O. breviligulata to African rice.  相似文献

 用十二烷基硫酸钠聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳(SDS-PAGE)方法,对粳稻BT 细胞质雄性不育系六千辛A,保持系六千辛B,恢复系六千辛R、77302-1,以及杂交组合六千辛A/77302-1的F1和F2 种子的胚乳贮藏蛋白进行了分析。结果表明,在谷蛋白α3区域,恢复系有两条带α3a 和α3b,而六千辛A和六千辛B只有一条带α3。 F2代具有α3的种子和具有α3a 加α3b的种子1∶1分离。谷蛋白α4带的移动速率,恢复系比六千辛A快。把较快的α4带记为α4f。 F2代具有α4的种子和具有α4 加α4f的种子也是1∶1分离,与配子体不育类型的F2代花粉育性恢复基因分离比一致。系谱分析表明六千辛R中α3a 和α3b来源于IR8。六千辛A比六千辛B容易提取醇溶蛋白。  相似文献

Abstract

The effects of elevated carbon dioxide concentration ([CO2]) on silica deposition on husk epidermis of rice (Oryza sativa L. cv. Akitakomachi) during the flowering stage were investigated in this study. The study was motivated by the concept that the rice yield maybe affected by global warming as a result of elevated [CO2] environment since sterility of rice is related to the panicle silica content that influences transpiration, and elevated [CO2] could affect plant transpiration. Silica deposition analysis was focused on the flowering stage of the rice crop grown hydroponically under two [CO2] conditions: 350 μmol mol-1 (ambient) and 700 μmol mol-1 (elevated). Silica deposition on the husk epidermis from three parts of the panicle at four flowering stages were examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) combined with an energy dispersive X-ray microanalyzer (EDX). The results demonstrated that elevated [CO2] significantly suppressed silica deposition on the husk epidermis at the lower part of the panicle, and at the early flowering stage when 1/3 of the panicle emerged from the leaf sheath. In the transverse section analysis of the husk, silica deposition on the husk epidermis under elevated [CO2] was less than that under ambient [CO2] at the late flowering stage. The less silica deposition observed on the husks at the late flowering stage under elevated [CO2] might be related to the suppressed transpiration from the panicle by elevated [CO2] found in a previous study.  相似文献

为给大麦杂交亲本的选配提供依据,2002-2003年以5个开颖品种(黄长芒大麦、沪1154、1430R、99-7122、扬0187)和1个闭颖品种(91单2)为亲本,采用62完全双列设计配制杂种F1,同时将5个开颖品种与另一闭颖品种84161配制正反交F1,研究了大麦开颖性状的杂种优势和配合力。结果表明:(1)6个亲本完全双列杂交的F1与双亲比较,大部分组合的开颖角度在中亲和低亲值之间,46.7%的杂种F1的开颖角度具有负向显著离中亲优势,说明大麦开颖角度的杂种优势不明显。(2)亲本的开颖角度越大,其一般配合力效应越高。5个开颖亲本中,黄长芒大麦的一般配合力最大,特殊配合力方差也大,是一个较好的开颖亲本。(3)亲子回归及相关分析表明,F1与中亲的回归和相关系数均较大,开颖角度中亲值提高1°,F1将提高1.4°,开颖亲本的开颖效应越大,后代越偏向于开颖特性;闭颖亲本的闭颖效应越大,后代的开颖角度越易减小。(4)根据2个闭颖亲本分别与5个开颖亲本相互杂交F1的比较,发现杂种F1的开颖角度与开颖亲本的开颖特性有关,也与闭颖亲本的遗传背景有关。  相似文献

Abstract

The effect of a long term of soil compaction on dry matter production (DMP) and water use in rice cultivated under limited water supply during the reproductive stage is unknown. Our objectives were to determine which of the transpiration (Tr) or water use efficiency (WUE) is dominant in determining DMP under compacted and desiccated soil conditions. When irrigation in the period around the reproductive stage was terminated in artificially compacted and non-compacted fields, the rate of suppression of DMP by soil compaction was similar in the three rice cultivars, but DMP was higher in drought resistant cultivars having deep root density at the heading stage. Six cultivars were grown in pots of 1.0 m in depth containing the soils of three levels of soil bulk density (SBD). Water supply was restricted by keeping the water table in the pot deep without irrigation during the reproductive stage. DMP and Tr in all cultivars decreased with increasing SBD, and a close relationship was seen between DMP and Tr. WUE was thus a fairly stable factor for all cultivars examined. Tr was positively correlated with root length density and was relatively maintained at a high SBD in drought-resistant cultivars having a higher root length density. We concluded that water shortage under compacted soil conditions during reproductive stage suppressed the DMP, and DMP suppression accompanied a reduction of Tr due to poor root development rather than the reduction of WUE. In the drought-resistant cultivars reduction of DMP was relatively small due to their highly developed root systems that allowed high water absorption from the deep layers in the compacted soil.  相似文献

Abstract

Thirty-nine chromosome segment substitution lines (CSSLs) population derived from a Koshihikari / Kasalath cross was used for quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis of plant type in rice (Oryza sativa L.). Putative rough QTLs (26.2~60.3cM of Kasalath chromosomal segments) for culm length, plant height, panicle number, chlorophyll content of flag leaf blade at heading and specific leaf weight, were mapped on the several chromosomal segments based on the comparison of CSSLs with Koshihikari in the field experiment for 3 years. In order to verify and narrow QTLs detected in CSSLs, we conducted QTL analyses using F2 populations derived from a cross between Koshihikari and target CSSL holding a putative rough QTL. The qPN-2, QTL for panicle number was mapped on chromosome 2. In traits of flag leaf, the qCHL-4-1 and qCHL-4-2 for chlorophyll content was mapped on chromosome 4, and the qSLW-7 for specific leaf weight on chromosome 7. All QTLs were detected in narrow marker intervals, compared with rough QTLs in CSSLs. The qPN-2, qCHL-4-1 and qCHL-4-2 had only additive effect. On the other hand, the qSLW-7 showed over-dominance. It could be emphasized that QTL analysis in the present study with the combination of CSSLs and backcross progeny F2 population can not only verify the rough QTLs detected in CSSLs but also estimate allelic effects on the QTL.  相似文献

 根据已知的NBS LRR类及丝/苏氨酸蛋白激酶类抗病基因结构中氨基酸的保守区域,设计了两组简并引物用于扩增广谱抗稻瘟病品种云系2号中的抗病基因同源序列。结果一共获得11类的NBS-LRR类抗病基因同源片段及16类的丝/苏氨酸蛋白激酶类抗病基因同源片段。所有11类的抗病基因同源系列均含有NBS-LRR类抗病基因的保守序列,如P-loop、Kinase 2、Kinase 3a以及跨膜区域等。所有16类的蛋白激酶的序列均含有丝/苏氨酸蛋白激酶所共有的催化区Ⅵ(共有氨基酸序列:DLKPEN)、Ⅷ(共有氨基酸序列:GT/SXXYXAPE)以及蛋白激酶的其他催化区。两条NBS-LRR类的抗病基因同源片段YR1、YR12分别与抗病基因I2 C-2及Xa1氨基酸同源性很高(>50%)。7条丝/苏氨酸蛋白激酶类的抗病基因同源片段与已克隆的[WTBX][STBX]Xa21、Pto、Lr10[WTBZ][STBZ]等抗病基因的氨基酸序列超过60%的相同以及76%~78%的氨基酸类似。  相似文献

【目的】发掘与产量相关的穗粒性状QTL对进一步克隆和利用高产基因具有重要意义。【方法】以超级粳稻龙稻5号和典型高产籼稻中优早8号杂交衍生的重组自交系群体为试材,在4种环境下对穗部性状进行比较和QTL分析。【结果】共检测到63个穗部性状QTL,分布于除第9染色体外的11条染色体上。在4个环境下分别检测到27、27、18和35个QTL。其中,16个QTL能在2个环境下被检测到,12个在3个以上环境下稳定表达,分别占QTL总数的25.40%和19.05%;第1、3、4和5染色体的多效QTL簇能在不同环境下稳定表达,对穗部性状具有明显的调控作用。【结论】第3染色体STS3.3-STS3.6区间的qSNP3、第4染色体RM5688-RM1359区间的qSNP4.1是2个新的稳定表达的多效性QTL簇。此外,上位性效应是调控穗部性状的重要组分。  相似文献

水稻重要农艺性状的两年QTL剖析   总被引:24,自引:5,他引:24  
 利用水稻汕优63(珍汕97 × 明恢63)重组自交系群体241个株系,对株高、生育期、产量及其产量构成因子等9个重要农艺性状进行了年度间的QTL定位和比较。结果表明,9个性状的表现型在两年均为连续分布,且都存在一定数量的双向超亲遗传类型。两年共检测到64个QTL,分布于水稻除第4染色体外的其余11条染色体,其中1999年检测到45个,2000年检测到35个,两年相同的QTL共16个。2000年检测到的QTL贡献率介于283%~1499%,且大多低于1999年。不同环境可以影响QTL的表达,但表达差异并不全是QTL×环境(QE)互作结果,也可能是由于该性状的遗传力偏低、QTL本身效应偏低或QE互作等原因共同造成的。另外,检测到8个显著的QE互作,但其互作效应明显低于对应的QTL效应。  相似文献
