Summary Utilization of exotic germplasm offers an approach to broaden genetic variability in breeding populations. This study was conducted in order to 1) compare germplasm of exotic origin with adapted Swedish barleys with respect to genetic differences and 2) to evaluate how exotic material affected agronomic performance in complex crosses. Allozyme studies showed the following Nei's gene diversities among parents: 0.13 (adapted parents), 0.16 (landraces) and 0.25 (H. spontaneum). Cluster analysis indicated that parental groups were genetically divergent. Earliness, straw length, number of ears per plant and thousand kernel weight (TKW) were studied. Variation in agronomic traits showed the following pattern: landraces > H. spontaneum > adapted lines. The best sources for earliness were adapted parents and landraces. Mean straw length was greatest in H. spontaneum lines. Number of ears per plant was quite similar in all groups. The highest TKW was among landraces and adapted parents. Hybrids from the complex crossing programme exceeded parents in earliness and TKW. An index composed from the four traits showed the most favorable frequency distributions for adapted parents and hybrids. Both genetic and agronomic studies indicate that new valuable variation from exotic germplasm may be introduced into barley breeding material.  相似文献

种质资源是大豆育种的基础,理论方法是品种选育的关键。以64份大豆品系为材料,采用变异性分析、相关性分析、因子分析和聚类分析等多元分析方法相结合,对大豆品系的10个农艺性状及产量性状进行研究,筛选适宜江汉平原种植的大豆品系,同时探究影响大豆产量的关键因素,为选育优质高产大豆品种提供种质和理论依据。结果表明,大豆品系10个农艺性状的变异系数为4.19%~46.95%,有效分枝数变异系数最大,蛋白质含量变异系数最小;因子分析将10个农艺性状转化为4个主因子,分别为产量构成因子、株高因子、粒重因子和品质因子,累计贡献率为80.067%。由农艺性状与综合得分相关性分析可知,生育期、株高、主茎节数、单株荚数、单株粒数、单株粒重和蛋白质含量7个农艺性状可作为大豆品系综合评价指标。聚类分析将64份大豆品系分成3个类群,类群Ⅰ31份,类群Ⅱ24份,类群Ⅲ 9份,类群Ⅲ大豆品系综合表现较好,适宜在江汉平原种植。  相似文献

Summary Pure line selection for grain yield applied within four durum wheat local landraces (Triticum turgidum L. var durum) was studied in an effort to determine: (i) the agronomic performance of selected line mixtures (bulks) and their value as potential new cultivars, (ii) the effectiveness of pure line selection for grain yield within local landraces and (iii) the correlated selection response of yield components and kernel quality traits. Four local durum wheat landraces were used. Two of them, Mytilini-1 and Mytilini-2 are still cropped in some rural areas of the island Mytilini whereas the other two, Limnos and Mavragani are maintained in the Greek Gene Bank. Following their preliminary evaluation for agronomic performance under current growing conditions, 100 individual plants from each landrace were randomly selected. Selected plants (pure lines) were field evaluated head to row during 1997–98 and 1998–99 growing seasons. Based on grain yield performance, bidirectional selection, high vs low, was practised within each landrace. Thus the five higher yielding lines and their corresponding lower ones from each landrace were identified. Selected lines, with no further progeny testing, were pooled using a balanced seed composite to form the high yielding five line bulk and its respective low counterpart. The resulting 16 bulks (eight high and eight low) along with their four source landraces and two commercial varieties, Mexicalli and Simmeto, used as checks, entered field testing for agronomic performance in two and one location during 1999–00 and 2000–01 growing seasons respectively. Data for grain yield and yield components (1000 kernel weight, number of kernels, and productive tillers) along with kernel quality data (protein content and vitreous) were recorded. Data for grain yield indicated that the landraces studied seemed to be line mixtures, as expected, since they responded to bidirectional phenotypic pure line selection. The high yielding bulks were of interesting agronomic performance, equivalent to or significantly better than that of the commercial checks and are worth further testing as potential cultivars. Selected high bulks of Mytilini 2 landrace significantly outyielded both the source landrace and the commercial checks maintaining the high protein content of the source landrace, which was significantly higher than checks. This performance provides evidence that the within landraces selection of lines combining high grain yield with high protein content seems to be feasible. In conclusion, evidence is presented that genetic variability seems to be available within the landraces studied which could be worth using in breeding programs. Furthermore the simple pure line selection breeding effort undertaken seemed to be effective in developing line bulks with promising performance and worth further testing as potential cultivars.  相似文献

Black soybean landraces that had been cultivated in Tanba region and the neighboring regions and conserved black soybean landraces, including those from other regions in Japan, were used in this study. The polymorphisms of 78 SSR markers in nuclear DNA and 6 SSRs in chloroplast DNA were analyzed in the black soybean landrace populations. The result of phylogenic analysis revealed that the black soybeans can be classified into six clades. The landraces originating from Tanba region were classed into first and second clades, and two chloroplast genotypes were found in the population of black soybeans from the Tanba region. Genotype A chloroplast was predominantly identified in major populations of the Tanba, while genotype B was widely distributed in the black soybean population. Population structure analysis in the Japanese black soybean accessions inferred there are six groups. The black soybean landrace from the Tanba region was classified into three groups, mainly corresponding to the distance-based phylogenic results. The two groups were probably derived from different ancestors with Type A and B chloroplast genomes, respectively, whereas the other group showed both types of chloroplast genome. The admixture situations suggested that the landraces in the main group have been widely cultivated in Tanba region, while the landraces that belong to other groups were cultivated in localized area. Several phenotypes were compared among genotype groups, dividing into two sub-groups: founder sub-group and admixed sub-group. Phenotypic differences were observed between founder landraces in group 1 and group 3. On the other hand, landraces in admixture landraces in group 1 and group 2 segregated for several traits, while founder landraces in group 1 were stabled for each trait. These observations suggest that gene flow events have occurred between different founder landraces.  相似文献

There is renewed interest in wheat landraces as important sources of genetic variation for agronomic characters. Fifty-three pure lines of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) derived from seven landraces collected from southeastern Iran were used to estimate genetic variation and heritability for 13 developmental and quantitative characters. Path-analysis was used to partition the genetic correlations between grain yield and six grain yield-related traits. Mean values of landraces were also compared with three improved cultivars from California and Iran. Genotypic differences among the landraces and among the pure lines collected from the landraces were highly significant for all characters considered. Compared with the modern cultivars, the landrace genotypes were, on average, later in days to heading and taller than the cultivars but had lower values for number of grains per spike, 1000-grain weight, grain yield and harvest index. Some landrace genotypes were similar to the modern cultivars for grain yield. Moderate to high genetic variation was displayed by number of grains per spike, number of spikes per plant, 1000-grain weight, and harvest index. The heritability estimates ranged from 59% for grain yield to 99% for days to anthesis. Expected genetic advance (as % of the mean) was ≈34% for number of spikes per plant, number of grains per spike, and 1000-grain weight. Days to heading and to anthesis correlated positively with number of spikes per plant, shoot biomass, and straw biomass but negatively with number of grains per spike and harvest index. The strong direct effect of number of spikes per plant on grain yield was completely counterbalanced by its indirect negative effects via number of grains per spike and 1000-grain weight. Number of grains per spike and 1000-grain weight were positively correlated with grain yield, and they had large direct effects. These two characters, however, were negatively correlated and exhibited a substantial counterbalance effect via one another and via number of spikes per plant. The landraces could be improved by intercrossing the promising genotypes identified in this study, with simultaneous selection for earliness, fewer number of spikes per plant, greater number of grains per spike and heavier grains. For further improvement, crossing programs between the landraces and introduced germplasm may be necessary. Barley landraces from the western Mediterranean area have not been thoroughly exploited by modern breeding. This study aims at assessing the agronomic value of a core collection of lines derived from landraces of Spanish origin and to compare them with sets of successful old and modern cultivars. The agronomic performance of a set of 175 barley genotypes, comprising 159 landrace‐derived lines and 26 cultivars, was evaluated in a series of 10 field trials, carried out over 3 years and several locations. The most relevant trait of the landraces was higher grain yield at low production sites than cultivars, which may be related with better ability to fill the grain under stressful conditions. On the other hand, lateness, excessive plant height and lodging were negative traits frequently found in the landraces. Large genotype‐by‐environment interaction (GEI) for grain yield was detected, related partly with differences between germplasm groups, probably indicating local adaptation. GEI was also associated with the interaction of heading time and powdery mildew resistance with temperature.  相似文献

以黑龙江省29个大豆育种单位的103份已鉴定大豆灰斑病3个生理小种抗性的大豆品种(系)为材料,选择与大豆灰斑病抗病基因连锁的19个SSR标记检测,获得等位变异数86个,每个标记检测到的等位变异数分布在2~6个之间,平均为4.42个。应用遗传统计软件(genetics statistics 3.0)分析表明, 标记的多样性指数介于0.198~0.751之间,平均多样性指数为0.606。品种(系)特异指数差异较大,介于46.592~481.541之间,平均为87.415。根据标记的等位基因数,使用ID Analysis 1.0软件分析表明,利用与大豆抗灰斑病基因连锁的7个SSR标记(Satt565、Satt547、Satt431、Sct_186、SOYGPATR、Satt244、Sat_151)就能有效区分各品种(系),因此利用这7个标记构建了供试品种(系)的分子身份证。  相似文献

Summary The increasing popularity of organic agriculture and health food products has led to a renewed interest in hulled wheat species such as emmer (Triticum turgidum ssp. dicoccumSchubler). Knowledge on agronomic and quality traits is required for effective and efficient use of germplasm collections in breeding programs. The objective of this study was to estimate agronomic and grain quality traits of emmer wheat cultivated in Italy. A total of 20 emmer accessions consisting of landraces, breeding lines or cultivars selected from landraces and modern cultivars were examined under low input conditions. The study was conducted for three successive years (2002–2004) at one location of Southern Italy (Foggia). The entries were characterized for agronomic and qualitative traits [grain yield (t ha−1), thousand grain weight (g), test weight (kg hl−1), grain protein content (%), HMWG composition, dry gluten content (%), gluten index and yellow index, alveograph indices and Total Organic Matter (TOM) on cooked pasta]. The results showed a large genetic variability for most of the traits measured and, even if most of the accessions showed inferior bread- and pasta-making performance, modern cultivars exhibited improved quality traits with some potential to perform healthy and tasty food.  相似文献

Approximately 7,000 accessions of Korean soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) landraces, largely composed of three collections, the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute’s soybean (KAS), the Korean Crop Experiment Station’s soybean (KLS) and the Korean Agricultural Development and Technology Center’s soybean (KADTC) collections, have been conserved at the Rural Development Administration (RDA) genebank in Korea. The accessions within collections were classified based on their traditional uses such as sauce soybean (SA), sprouted soybean (SP), soybean for cooking with rice (SCR), and OTHERS. A total of 2,758 accessions of Korean soybean landraces were used to profile and to evaluate genetic structure using six SSR loci. A total of 110 alleles were revealed by at the six SSR loci. The number of alleles per SSR locus ranged from 9 to 39 in Satt187 and Satt_074, respectively. The number of alleles ranged from 87 in the KADTC collection to 96 in the KLS collection, and from 63 in the SCR group to 95 in the SP group. Nei’s average genetic diversity ranged from 0.68 to 0.70 across three collections, and 0.64 to 0.69 across the usage groups. The average between-group differentiation (G st) was 0.9 among collections, and 4.1 among the usage groups. The similar average diversity among three collections implies that the genetic background of the three collections was quite similar or that there were a large number of duplicate accessions in three collections. The selection from the four groups classified based upon usage may be a useful way to select accessions for developing a Korean soybean landrace core collection at the RDA genebank. DNA profile information of accessions will provide indications of redundancies or omissions and aid in managing the soybean collection held at the RDA genebank. The information on diversity analysis could help to enlarge the genetic diversity of materials in breeding programs and could be used to develop a core collection.  相似文献

Improving eating quality and nutrition is one of the most important objectives in rice breeding program. Palatability factors and seed protein patterns of 69 Korean rice landraces were compared in this study. Of seven palatability factors, setback viscosity (SBV) had the largest variance, ranging from -144 to 45. Water content (WC) had the lowest variance, ranging from 11.0 to 13.0. In correlation analysis, eating quality was positively correlated with all palatability factors except gelatinization temperature (GT). In principal component analyses (PCA), the first PC with Eigen value of 5.06 explained 42.2% of the total variance. Cool paste viscosity (CPV) was the variable that had the largest positive loading. The second PC with Eigen value of 2.09 explained an additional 17.4% of the total variance. SBV was a variable that had the highest negative loading. Peak viscosity (PKV) had positive variance between PC1 and PC2. The 69 Korean rice landraces were clustered into four groups based on physicochemical properties and palatability factors, with groups I and II showing higher EQ than other groups. SDS-PAGE analyses revealed five seed storage patterns in the 69 Korean rice landraces. Among them, 84% (58 landraces) had pattern I. These results indicate that it is possible to develop high palatability cultivars using Korean rice landraces. In addition, screening of landraces based on variation in seed storage protein profile using SDS-PAGE could be highly effective for the identification of valuable rice genetic resources.  相似文献

利用22个表型性状和60个微卫星(simple sequence repeat, SSR)位点对黑龙江省140份代表性种质(78份地方品种和62份育成品种)进行分析, 根据UPGMA (unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean)和Model-base对SSR数据进行遗传结构划分。结果表明, 参试品种可分为2大类群, 第II类群的各项多样性指标均高于第I类群, 2个类群遗传距离为0.2427;PCO结果显示这2个类群分布在不同区域, 这与地理来源和育成年代密切有关。依据品种类型分为育成品种和地方品种两组, 后者的各项多样性指标均高于前者, 两组间的遗传距离为0.1131。依据表型数据的PCO分析表明, 分布区域与品种类型有关, 与SSR结构分类的结果吻合度低, 两组品种主要在3个主成分的6个表型性状上有所不同。它们不是2个相对独立的遗传群体, 根据分子标记和表型分类各有特点;建议在种质遗传多样性研究中将分子数据和表型数据结合起来。  相似文献

To evaluate the variability among cultivars and landraces of common bean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.), 15 cultivars and 18 landraces of common bean (Phaseolus vulgarisL.), a undefined species of Phaseolus,two landraces of Vigna angularis L., and a landrace of soybean (Glycine maxL.), were screened with fifteen oligonucleotide primers in PCR reactions. An average of 20.3 RAPD bands were scored per primer. A total of 304 amplification products were scored of which 88.8% were polymorphic among Phaseolus genotypes. Based on the RAPD markers, four major clusters were formed. Three clusters corresponded to the soybean, to the two Vigna angularis landraces, and to the Phaseolus sp. landrace, respectively. The fourth cluster include all the landraces and cultivars of Phaseolus vulgaris. This large group could be separated into three subgroups that were correlated with the phaseolin patterns and the average seed weight of the genotypes. The analysis shows that most of the landraces collected in South Brazil (17 out of 18) belong to the Andean gene pool, and most of the cultivars (13 out of 15) belong to the Middle American gene pool. Twenty one landraces of cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) and two of Tronchuda cabbage (B. oleracea var. tronchuda Bailey) from Galicia (north–western Spain) along with five commercial hybrids of cabbage and one commercial variety of Tronchuda cabbage were evaluated in this study in two planting dates, autumn/winter for an early harvest and spring/summer for a late harvest. Data were recorded on morphologic, agronomic, nutritional, and sensory traits. The objectives were to assess the characteristics of the Galician cabbage landraces and to compare their agronomic value with that of the commercial hybrids available in local markets, at two planting dates. Four cabbage landraces and the two Tronchuda cabbage landraces showed no head formation. At the autumn/winter season, commercial hybrids showed poor adaptation, with more plants lost after transplanting, less early vigor, and yield than the head forming landraces. However, for characters related to crop uniformity (head appearance, days to harvest, and synchrony of production), commercial hybrids did better than landraces. Regarding the sensory and nutritional values, in the autumn/winter season, accessions were tenderer, sweeter, had a better flavour, and showed higher levels of crude protein and less of crude fibre than in the spring/summer season. Landraces had higher calcium contents compared to commercial varieties. Local landraces MBG-BRS0425, MBG-BRS0452, MBG-BRS0536, and MBG-BRS0537 stood out for the most interesting traits in the autumn/winter season growing period and they could be included in breeding programs to obtain hybrids suitable to grow in this planting period.  相似文献

为了筛选综合性状较好的可用于小麦品质改良的农家种资源,以212份小麦农家种为材料,采用Vp1B3分子标记和田间喷雾进行了抗穗发芽鉴定,用硬度指数法进行了硬度测定,并考察了部分农艺性状。结果表明,212个农家种中Vp-1Ba(感穗发芽)、Vp-1Bb(抗穗发芽)和Vp-1Bc(抗穗发芽)基因型的频率分别为70.28%,6.16%,23.70%,以Vp-1Ba基因型为主。3种基因型穗发芽率差异不显著,212个农家种的穗发芽率在7.79%~28.56%之间,平均为15.28%;农家种硬度指数(HI)平均值为71.22;农家种平均株高达到113.46 cm;农家种对白粉病抗性变异丰富,有3个品种为白粉病免疫;农家种平均穗粒数为28.33,平均千粒重为30.96 g。针对抗穗发芽、籽粒硬质、株高适宜、抗白粉病、高产等育种目标,筛选出等‘金包银’、‘玉麦1’、‘大红芒2’等12个种质材料,为进一步培育优质小麦奠定了基础。  相似文献

本研究以57个中国大豆祖先吕系及育成品种和18个美国大豆祖先品系为DNA样品来源,通过随机引物PCR扩增基因组DNA的多态性,探索利用RAPD标记鉴定和相关种质的可能性。研究结果表明,50个10摩尔随机引物共扩增可分辩产物246个,其中82.4%的随机引物可产生多态性产物,所扩增产物的54.4%至少在两个基因毒草境存在差异。上PCR扩增产物分别以1和0记录存在与否。扩增产物间的成对比较可产生非相似  相似文献

There continues to be improvement in seed yields of soybean by conventional breeding, but molecular techniques may provide faster genetic gains. The objective of this study was to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with the agronomic traits seed yield, lodging, plant height, seed filling period and plant maturity in soybean. To achieve this objective, 101 F6‐derived recombinant inbred lines (RIL) from a population developed from a cross of N87‐984‐16 × TN93‐99 were used. Experiments were conducted in six environments during 2002–2003. Heritability estimates on an entry mean basis from data combined across environments ranged from 0.12 to 0.65 for seed yield and seed filling period, respectively. Composite interval mapping detected one QTL for yield (near Satt076), two for lodging (near Satt225 and Satt593) and four for maturity (near Satt263, Satt292, Satt293 and Satt591) in this population. Additional environmentally sensitive QTL for these traits, and for seed filling period and plant height are also reported. The QTL associated with agronomic traits that we report and the recently released germplasm (PI 636460) from this population may be useful in soybean breeding programmes.  相似文献

目前生产上使用的水稻恢复系之间的遗传基础过于狭窄,应积极开发水稻新恢复系的选育工作。云南地理气候条件特殊,地方老品种资源丰富,是筛选新恢复系的理想材料。以61份云南地方老品种水稻资源为父本,通过测交筛选到6份可以恢复野败型不育系的品种。再利用5对特异引物,对这6份恢复材料和7份恢复系的恢复基因位点遗传差异进行分析。结果表明:5对特异引物对6份恢复材料的扩增结果各不一样,而与对照恢复系仅有2.8 kb的一条扩增带型一致。说明云南地方老品种水稻中蕴藏的恢复基因与目前生产上应用的恢复基因的亲缘关系较远。从云南地方老品种水稻中发掘利用新型恢复基因和资源,是突破水稻恢复基因遗传基础狭窄、筛选新质源恢复系的一种有效策略。  相似文献

大豆品系在黄淮南部主产区产量及品质性状分析   总被引:4,自引:2,他引:2  
为了筛选适宜黄淮南部大豆产区种植的大豆品种,于2011年和2012年对河南、安徽和江苏3省5个试验点测试的107份大豆品系的产量、品质及其他相关性状的数据进行收集、统计和分析。结果表明:测试大豆品系的平均产量为2601.73 kg/hm2,与对照‘中黄13’相比,共有48份大豆品系表现增产,占总数的44.86%;各试验点的大豆平均蛋白质含量总体较高,而且蛋脂双高的品种比例在各试验点均在70%以上。相关性分析表明,产量与品质性状有着极显著的负相关,与蛋白质含量、脂肪含量和蛋脂总量的相关系数分别为-0.27、-0.23和-0.48;与有效分枝、单株荚数、单株粒数、单株粒重呈极显著正相关(r=0.41,r=0.48,r=0.59,r=0.64)。偏相关分析也表明,大豆的产量与单株粒数呈极显著正相关性,且单株粒数是对大豆产量影响最大的性状;通径分析显示,该性状对产量的通径系数最大。蛋脂总量与株高、百粒重呈显著正相关(r=0.20,r=0.23),与有效分枝呈显著负相关(r=-0.19),与单株荚数、单株粒数和单株粒重呈极显著负相关(r=-0.29,r=-0.44,r=-0.37)。生产中,在提高大豆产量和品质的同时,应考虑到大豆各农艺性状之间存在着相互影响,在育种时应注意各性状之间的平衡。  相似文献

淀粉是构成和影响水稻产量和品质的最主要因素;ADP-葡萄糖焦磷酸化酶(AGPase)基因是影响淀粉合成的关键酶基因之一。本研究用编码AGPase小亚基基因(AGPsma)序列的特异引物(序列为F:5’-TACGCTATGCTCTTGAAAC-3’;R:5’-TATCTTCCCAGTAACCATCA-3’)对普通野生稻(元江)、粳稻(榆密15)、籼稻(93-11)及籼粳交品系(南34)进行PCR扩增、克隆、测序和序列对比。又用该引物对来源于13个国家的15份AA基因组和5份CCDD基因组的共20份野生稻及205份包括40份籼稻和165份粳稻的云南地方品种和改良品种(系)进行PCR检测。在以上4个不同类型水稻材料该引物上扩增出184bp和215bp的2个片段均为AGPase小亚基基因的序列。在该序列的109bp处,元江普通野生稻和榆密15为T,而93-11和南34为C;籼粳交品系南34在121~151bp区间缺失31个碱基。所有的225份供试材料可分为3类。第一类具有215bp大小的条带,包括了全部的野生稻材料和196份籼粳材料。其中籼稻数占籼稻样本总数的95%,籼稻地方品种占籼稻地方品种总数的75%;粳稻数占粳稻样本总数的83.6%,粳稻地方品种占粳稻地方品种总数的60%。第二类具有184bp的条带,包括28个籼粳材料。第三类同时具有215bp和184bp的片段,此类只有1个父母本具不同片段的滇型杂交粳稻品种。结果表明AGPsma序列在野生稻中可能尚未出现分化,但在籼稻、粳稻和地方老品种及改良品种中都出现了遗传分化。  相似文献

以2018年黄淮海区试60个夏大豆参试品种(系)为材料,对12个主要农艺性状进行综合性分析。统计分析结果显示: 中组平均产量最高,南组平均粗蛋白含量最高;有效分枝数的变异系数最高,生育期的变异系数最低。相关性分析结果显示: 产量与单株有效荚数、单株粒数呈显著正相关,与单株粒重呈极显著正相关,与主茎节数呈显著负相关;百粒重与株高、主茎节数呈显著负相关,与单株有效荚数、单株粒数呈极显著负相关;粗蛋白含量与粗脂肪含量呈极显著负相关。主成分分析结果显示: 12个主要农艺性状被提取到4个主成分,累计贡献率达76.78%。聚类分析结果显示: 60个品种(系)被分为2大类,每类又分为2个亚群,但60个品种(系)未按照北组、中组和南组的地域而区分开,说明黄淮海区域大豆品种(系)遗传背景相似。  相似文献
