Age of gilts at first mating (AFM) is a factor associated with reproductive performance of female pigs. The objectives of the present study were to compare AFM and reproductive performance across parity between three herd groups based on a productivity measurement and to determine lifetime performance by AFM and the herd groups. The female data included 38,212 mated gilts entered between 2001 and 2003, and the herd data included mean measurements from 2001 to 2006 in 101 herds. The average female inventory of the 101 herds was 370.2 females. Females were categorized into five groups: AFM 188-208, 209-229, 230-250, 251-271 or 272-365 days. Three herd groups were formed on the basis of the upper and lower 25th percentiles of pigs weaned per mated female over six years: high-, intermediate- and low-performing herds. Multilevel mixed-effects models were performed to analyze comparisons. The AFMs (± SEM) in the high-, intermediate- and low-performing herds were 239.5 ± 0.22, 247.4 ± 0.21 and 256.7 ± 0.35 days, respectively. As the AFM increased from 209-229 to 272-365 days, annualized lifetime pigs born alive (PBA) decreased from 18.2 to 15.3 pigs, and the number of parities at removal decreased from 4.8 to 4.1 (P<0.05). In parity 1, females with an AFM of 209-229 days had fewer PBA, but had a lower culling risk and shorter weaning-to-first mating interval than those with an AFM of 251-271 days (P<0.05). In conclusion, we recommend management practices such as boar exposure to hasten puberty in gilts and decrease AFM.  相似文献

To set productivity standards and targets, and investigate inter-relationships between key measurements in swine breeding herds, farm productivity measurements were analyzed on 87 Japanese commercial farms in 14 prefectures. The 87 herds were ranked on the basis of number of pigs weaned per mated female per year (PWMFY), and 23 herds in the upper 25th percentile of this ranking were designated as high-performing farms. Productivity measurements on the high-performing farms were compared with values for the remaining farms. The high-performing farms had shorter farrowing intervals, greater litters per mated female per year (LMFY), greater pigs weaned per sow (PWS), and greater mean parity of culled sows than the remaining farms (P<0.01). No difference in lactation duration was found between the two groups (P>0.10). For both farm groups, correlations of key reproductive measurements were determined. Lactation duration was not correlated with LMFY, PWS and PWMFY on the high-performing farms, while short lactation duration was correlated with greater LMFY and PWMFY on the remaining farms (P<0.01). In contrast to lactation duration, farrowing interval was correlated with PWS on the high-performing farms, but not on the remaining farms. Mean parity of culled sows were correlated to PWS and pigs born alive per sow on the high performing farms, but not with any measurements on the remaining farms. These results suggest that high-performing farms have used different herd management from the remaining farms.  相似文献

An observational cohort study was conducted using a producer group of 33 farms selected based on their completeness of reproduction data, including dates of birth, entry to a herd, and removal. Average lifetime pig production and parity at removal in a cohort of 2,265 females born in 1990 were 67.2 pigs born alive and 5.6 parities, respectively. Approximately 90% of farrowings occurred from the second through the fourth year from birth. Farrowing rates between parities of 2 and 4 were higher than other parities, and pigs born alive from parities 3 to 5 were the greatest among parities. The 10th and 90th percentiles of age at first conception were 227 and 322 days. Increasing the age at first mating was associated with low farrowing rate (P<0.01) in parity 0. Older age at first conception was associated with lower parity at removal, shorter reproductive herd life, and fewer lifetime pigs born alive (P< 0.01). Of the 2,265 breeding females, 253 (11.2%) were re-mated at parity 0 and farrowed. These sows with a record re-mating at parity 0 had lower parity at removal, less lifetime pig production and lower lifetime productivity than those with no re-mating at parity 0 (P<0.01). It is recommended that unbred gilts 230 days of age or older should be mated soon.  相似文献

The objective of the present study was to investigate culling guidelines for gilts and sows in Japanese commercial herds and to compare differences between culling guidelines and actual culling practices in different herd productivity groups. A questionnaire survey was undertaken to obtain information on culling guidelines in 115 commercial swine herds that participated in the PigCHAMP data-share program. The questionnaire included questions on guideline values for culling intervals and the number of conception failure occurrences that would trigger a culling decision to be made. Ninety-two of the 115 herds (80.0%) returned appropriate data for the study and were included in the present study. In addition to questionnaire data, culling data regarding the actual culling intervals and number of reservices for gilts and sows culled during 2007 to 2008 were also obtained for the same herds from a PigCHAMP database. Culled gilts and sows were divided into 4 female groups on the basis of the stages of their reproductive life when they were culled: unmated gilts, mated gilts, unmated sows, and mated sows. Culling intervals in unmated gilts and sows were defined as the number of days from birth or weaning to culling, respectively, whereas in mated gilts and sows culling intervals were the number of days from last service to culling. Three herd productivity groups were formed on the basis of the upper and lower 25th percentiles of pigs weaned mated female(-1)·yr(-1):high-,intermediate- or low-performing herds. For unmated gilts and sows actual culling intervals were 15 d shorter than the guideline culling intervals in the surveyed data submitted by producers (P < 0.05). This shorter actual culling period for unmated gilts and sows did not vary significantly between herd productivity groups in any parity. However, for mated gilts and sows the actual culling intervals were at least 30 d longer than the guideline culling intervals (P < 0.05). Guideline and actual culling intervals for mated gilts and sows were at least 10 d shorter in high-performing herds than in low-performing herds (P < 0.05). High-performing herds had lower proportions of sows culled after the second reservice than intermediate- or low-performing herds in parity groups 0 to 5 (P < 0.05). In conclusion, culling guidelines for mated sows differed between herd productivity groups, and culling guidelines for mated gilts and sows were not strictly followed in any herd group in the commercial herds.  相似文献

We investigated the reproductive and lifetime performances of Kagoshima Berkshire gilts and sows. We examined 20 605 parity records of 4419 pigs for 2008 to 2012 on a farrow‐to‐finish commercial farm. The mean parity (± SD) of all animals was 3.0 ± 2.1. For farrowing performance, the highest numbers of total pigs born and pigs born alive were found in sows with parities 5 and 6 and with parity 3–6, respectively (P < 0.05). Regarding weaning and mating performance, sows with parity 2 had the lowest preweaning mortality (P < 0.05). The longest weaning‐to‐first‐mating interval was found in parity 1 pigs, and the interval decreased as parity increased (P < 0.05). Parities 0 and 1 pigs had the lowest farrowing rate and those with parity 4 had the highest farrowing rate (P < 0.05). The mean parity at culling, total number of pigs born alive in a lifetime, and nonproductive days in a lifetime were 5.5 ± 2.93, 49.2 ± 24.72 pigs, and 132.1 ± 83.34 days, respectively. These animals had a lower litter size and fertility that the F1 crossbred sows mainly used in Japan, but a similar tendency for performance by parity.  相似文献

Re-serviced females on commercial swine breeding farms   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The objectives of this study were to observe subsequent reproductive performance of re-serviced females by the number of services within a parity, to measure mean days to re-service and culling intervals, to determine lifetime performance in re-serviced gilts, and to investigate re-serviced females across parities on commercial farms. Reproduction records on 539 U.S.A. farms were used to observe re-serviced females by the number of service groups at the herd level. Farrowing rate decreases by approximately 10%, and re-service occurrence increases by approximately 5% for each increase in the number of services increase within a parity group (P<0.05). Only in parity 0 to 2 groups, average pigs born alive at subsequent farrowing in the second or later service groups were greater than in the first service group (P<0.05), but in parity >or=3, the third or later service groups produced fewer pigs born alive than the other service groups (P<0.05). Lifetime performance and re-service events were observed in 39945 individual females on the 149 selected farms that had complete 5-year records. Means of days to re-service, first-mating-to-culling intervals in gilts and weaning-to-culling intervals in sows were 46.3 days, 95.2 days, and 48.2 days, respectively. Re-serviced gilts had longer NPD (>50 days), a lower parity at culling (>0.5) and fewer lifetime pigs born alive (>2 pigs) than non-return gilts (P<0.05), but no difference in average pigs born alive per parity was found between re-serviced gilt groups and non-return gilts. Of 19677 re-serviced females, 35.6% had two or more re-services across parities in pig life, 10.6% had 3 or more re-services, and 1.95% had four or more re-services. Accurate estrus detection with a boar and improved mating techniques on re-serviced females are suggested to improve herd productivity.

OBJECTIVE: To determine productivity characteristics of high-performing swine breeding herds in the United States and to determine associations among number of litters per mated female per year (LMFY), number of pigs weaned per sow (PWS), and lactation duration. DESIGN: Cohort study. SAMPLE POPULATION: 1997 productivity records for 685 herds. PROCEDURE: Herds were ranked on the basis of number of pigs weaned per mated female per year, and herds in the upper 10th percentile of this ranking were designated as high-performing herds. Productivity measurements for these herds were compared with values for the remaining herds. RESULTS: High-performing herds had shorter lactation durations and higher mean breeding female inventories than did the remaining herds. High-performing herds also had better reproductive efficiency and used farrowing facilities more efficiently than did the remaining herds. For the high-performing herds, lactation duration was significantly associated with PWS but was not significantly associated with LMFY. In contrast, for the remaining herds, lactation duration was not significantly associated with PWS but was significantly associated with LMFY. CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Results suggest that high-performing commercial swine farms could increase PWS by improving preweaning mortality rate and number of pigs born alive, but that LMFY was already maximal. For other herds, however, shortening lactation duration would likely decrease farrowing interval and improve efficiency of the reproductive cycle without reducing litter size.  相似文献

The objectives of the present study were to investigate the relationship between number of pigs born dead (PBD) and both post-farrowing performance and culling risk in sows, and to determine the repeatability of PBD within sow. The present study used 256,527 parity records of 51,907 sows on 110 commercial farms. Five groups for PBD were categorized: PBD 0, 1, 2, 3 and ≥ 4 pigs. Linear mixed-effects models were used to analyze the data. Variance components analysis was separately conducted for three groups based on parity at culling. Mean value (± SEM) of PBD was 1.1 ± 0.01 pigs. Relative frequency of PBD 0, 1, 2, 3 and ≥ 4 pigs were 44.7, 24.8, 14.6, 7.5 and 8.4%, respectively. The relative frequency of PBD ≥ 4 pigs increased from 4.2 to 14.4% as parity increased from 2 to ≥ 6, whereas the frequency of PBD ≥ 4 pigs in parity 1 was 6.0%. Sows with PBD ≥ 4 pigs had 3.4% lower subsequent farrowing rate than those with PBD 0 pigs (P < 0.01). In parities ≥ 3, sows with PBD ≥ 4 pigs had fewer pigs born alive at subsequent parity than those with PBD 1 pigs (P < 0.01). However, in parities 1 and 2, no differences were found between the PBD groups in number of pigs born alive at subsequent parity. No difference was also found between the PBD groups in their subsequent weaning-to-first-mating interval. At each farrowed parity, culling risk for sows increased as PBD increased (P < 0.01). Furthermore, the values of the repeatability of PBD in sows culled in parities 2–5, 6–7 and ≥ 8 were relatively low, 0.14, 0.16 and 0.15, respectively. In conclusion, culling for low-parity sows based on PBD is not justified as the value of repeatability of PBD is low. Additionally, assisted farrowing is recommended for high-parity sows and parity-1 sows to reduce the PBD.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were to determine changes in herd productivity and the performance of female pigs over time in commercial swine herds. Annual measurement data from 1999 to 2003 were obtained from the record files of 113 herds in Japan. Two groups were formed according to the 25th percentile of pigs weaned/mated females per year (PWMFY) in 2003; the 2 groups were high-performing herds (those constituting the top 25%) and the remaining ordinary herds. The effects of group based on PWMFY in 2003, year, and the group x year interaction on repeated measures between 1999 and 2003 were analyzed by using mixed-effects models. A regression analysis was also used to compare key measurements in productivity between the 2 groups, with years as a continuous variable. Variance components were obtained to determine herd repeatability of PWMFY for the 2 herd groups. The average female inventory increased from 290 +/- 31 to 355 +/- 42 females for these 5 yr. The PWMFY also changed from 20.9 +/- 0.21 to 21.2 +/- 0.30 pigs. An interaction between year and group was detected (P < 0.05) for PWMFY. In the regression comparison, high-performing herds increased their PWMFY by 0.31 +/- 0.09 pigs each year, whereas the ordinary herds did not increase. The number of pigs weaned per sow increased by 0.07 +/- 0.02 pigs each year in high-performing herds and increased by 0.03 +/- 0.01 pigs each year in ordinary herds. In high-performing herds, for each year, the percentage of sows mated by 7 d after weaning increased by 0.92 +/- 0.25%, the percentage of reserviced females decreased by 0.63 +/- 0.26%, and culling rate increased by 1.53 +/- 0.50%. Repeatability of PWMFY for high-performing herds and ordinary herds was 28.8 and 54.0%, respectively. This study shows that productivity in high-performing herds was improved compared with that of ordinary herds.

Little is known about the safety and efficacy of extra-label use of the modified live porcine reproductive-and-respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus vaccine in gestating sows. Our purpose was to determine the impact of vaccination on reproductive performance in 54 herds in Ontario, Manitoba (Canada) and the mid-western United States that were PRRS-positive, PRRS-negative, or concurrently affected by an outbreak of PRRS when initially vaccinated. Majority-vaccinated herds vaccinated ≥50% but <100% of sows at one time, and limit-vaccinated herds vaccinated <50% of sows at one time. Most majority-vaccinated herds did not vaccinate sows in late gestation, and none vaccinated during the initial PRRS outbreak. Numbers of pigs born alive and weaned decreased when pregnant sows were vaccinated. The effect of vaccination on productivity in the gestation following vaccination depended on the vaccination protocol.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of dietary fibre on reproductive performance during the first two parities. Gilts were randomly allocated to receive three fibrous diets from days 1-90 of gestation, including low fibre [low fiber (LF), 10.8% neutral detergent fiber (NDF), n=132], middle fibre [middle fiber (MF), 15.8% NDF, n=132] and high fibre diet (HF, 20.8% NDF, n=135), until completion of the second parity. Response criteria included backfat measurements, litter size and pig weight at parturition and day 22 of lactation, weaning-oestrus-interval, oestrus rate, sow farrowing and culling rate, uniformity of newborns and relative organ weights. The results showed sows fed LF diet in parity 1 gained more backfat (p<0.05) during gestation but lost more (p<0.05) during lactation than sows fed HF diet. Furthermore, sows fed LF diet farrowed more pigs (+0.7-1.1 pigs, p<0.05) and pigs born alive (+1.0 pigs, p<0.05) relative to sows fed HF diet. Likewise, sows fed LF and MF diets had greater litter weights at parturition (both p=0.06) and day 22 after lactation (both p<0.05). In parity 2, yet, it was MF diet to increase both total pigs born and pigs born alive (+0.9-1.1 pigs, p<0.05) and litter weight (p=0.05) relative to other diets. After 22 d of lactation, intriguingly, sows fed HF diet had most pigs alive (p<0.01-0.07) and heavier litter weight (p=0.07 or 0.2). Feeding HF diet also increased internal organs weight of newborns (p<0.05). Collectively, feeding LF and MF diets had beneficial effects on litter weight at parturition and day 22 of lactation in parity 1, and feeding MF diet until parity 2 was able to improve litter size and weight at parturition, but this positive effect disappeared after 22 days of lactation, instead feeding HF diet showed the optimal litter performance.  相似文献

During the summer and fall of 1987, sows from eight herds in three states were assigned randomly to receive either a combination of 400 IU of pregnant mare's serum gonadotropin with 200 IU of hCG (P.G. 600) or no treatment at weaning. A treatment x parity interaction was observed for days to first estrus after treatment and percentage anestrus (percentage of sows not achieving estrus within 10 d after weaning). Relative to primiparous control sows, primiparous sows given P.G. 600 expressed estrus sooner (P less than .02) after weaning (6.0 vs 7.8 +/- .6 d) and exhibited less (P less than .02) postweaning anestrus (15.6 vs 29.2 +/- 4.0%). Second parity sows that received P.G. 600 showed estrus sooner (P less than .06) than second-parity control sows (4.7 vs 6.4 +/- .7 d). Days to first estrus after treatment did not differ between groups for parity-three and older sows, and percentage anestrus was not different between treatments for parity-two and older sows. The herd X treatment interaction was significant for percentage recycled (percentage of successfully mated sows that returned to estrus), subsequent farrowing rate, and subsequent number of pigs born dead. Number of pigs born alive was lower for sows treated with P.G. 600 than for control sows (10.55 vs 10.10 +/- .18; P less than .02). In summary, treatment of sows weaned in the summer and fall with P.G. 600 had decreased days to postweaning estrus in parity-one and -two sows and reduced frequency of postweaning anestrus in primiparous sows.  相似文献

In a 200 sow herd, the litter size fell from an average of 10.5 pigs born alive per litter from January to June, to an average of 9.2 for the remainder of the year. Management changes during the first part of the year resulted in half the sows weaning litters at three weeks of age and half the sows weaning at four weeks of age instead of at six weeks as was previously done. The subsequent litter size was 9.3 pigs born alive per litter for three-week weaned sows compared to 10.0 for four-week weaning. The management of gilt breeding was also altered by the necessity to breed groups of 12 gilts in one-week periods of time and therefore a higher proportion of gilts may have been mated on their first estrus instead of their second or third estrus as had been the case. The difference in litter size of first parity sows between the first six months and the second six months was 1.1 pigs. Parvovirus infection may have been a factor contributing to the reduction in litter size amongst first parity sows; two groups of first parity sows experienced an increase in mummified piglets, a reduced far rowing rate, and smaller litter size. However, no attempt was made at diagnosing an infectious agent. Parity distribution remained relatively unchanged during the year and was not associated with the drop in litter size.  相似文献

In order to minimize the effects of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) on stillbirth, mummification, and neonatal mortality in swine herds, many producers have vaccinated their herds using a modified-live virus vaccine. The purpose of this study was to determine the association of the PRRS modified-live vaccine and reproductive performance by stage of gestation when the vaccine was administered. A total of 47 swine herds from Ontario and Manitoba, Canada, and from the mid-western USA were included in the study. Participating farms had vaccinated all of their sows at one point in time when they used the vaccine for the first time. The reproductive performance of sows that farrowed in the year prior to use of the vaccine was compared to that of sows vaccinated in each of five stages of gestation and in the gestation that followed the initial use of the vaccine. Sows vaccinated at any time during gestation had a reduced number of pigs born alive, a reduced number of pigs weaned per litter, and increased number of stillborn pigs and an increased number of mummified pigs compared to the sows that farrowed prior to use of the vaccine. The largest association was seen in sows that were vaccinated in the last four weeks of gestation. The largest losses were observed in those herds that were vaccinated concurrently with the initial PRRS herd outbreak. These results suggest that the modified-live vaccine should only be administered to non-gestating sows.  相似文献

Preweaning mortality risks, recorded death reasons and related factors for preweaning mortality were studied in 105 breeding herds. Preweaning mortality risk at the herd level was calculated as the difference between the number of pigs born alive in farrowed litters and the number of weaned pigs divided by the number of pigs born alive in litters that farrowed and weaned. The mean of annual preweaning mortality risk was 10.7%. In regression analysis, higher mortality risks were associated with higher parity at farrowing, greater numbers of pigs born alive, and longer lactation length. The period from July to September had a higher mortality risk than that from April to June. The means of cause-specific proportional mortality ratios (PMR) in trauma with low viability and scours were 80.4 and 6.2%, respectively. Sows with pig age 0-1 day during lactation had the highest daily PMR. Sows with pig age 0 to 7 days had higher PMR due to trauma and low variability than those with pig age 8 days older. Sows with pig age over 7 days had higher PMR due to scours than those with pig age 0-7 days. Careful management at farrowing and in early lactation on high parity sows with large litters should be considered to prevent piglets from death due to trauma and low viability, and appropriate herd health programs should be implemented for reducing preweaning mortality due to scours during late lactation.  相似文献

Longevity is important in pig production with respect to both economic and ethical aspects. Direct selection for longevity might be ineffective because ‘true’ longevity can only be recorded when a sow has been culled or died. Thus, indirect selection for longevity using information from other traits that can be recorded early in life and are genetically correlated with longevity might be an alternative. Leg conformation has been included in many breeding schemes for a number of years. However, proving that leg conformation traits are good early indicators for longevity still remains. Our aim was to study genetic associations between leg conformation traits of young (5 months; 100 kg) Swedish Yorkshire pigs in nucleus herds and longevity traits of sows in nucleus and multiplier herds. Data included 97 533 animals with information on conformation (Movement and Overall score) recorded at performance testing and 26 962 sows with information on longevity. The longevity traits were as follows: stayability from 1st to 2nd parity, lifetime number of litters and lifetime number of born alive piglets. Genetic analyses were performed with both linear models using REML and linear‐threshold models using Bayesian methods. Heritabilities estimated using the Bayesian method were higher than those estimated using REML, ranging from 0.10 to 0.24 and 0.07 to 0.20, respectively. All estimated genetic correlations between conformation and longevity traits were significant and favourable. Heritabilities and genetic correlations between conformation and longevity indicate that selection on leg conformation should improve sow longevity.  相似文献

Gilts (n = 208) were used to evaluate the effect of lysine (protein) intake over three parities on lactation and subsequent reproductive performance. Sows were assigned randomly to one of five experimental diets at each farrowing. The five corn-soybean mealbased lactation diets contained increasing concentrations of total lysine (.60, .85, 1.10, 1.35, and 1.60%) and CP (14.67, 18.15, 21.60, 25.26, and 28.82%). Other amino acids were provided at a minimum of 105% of the NRC (1988) ratio to the lysine requirement. Sows had ad libitum access to their assigned diets from parturition until weaning (19.5+/-.2 d postpartum). All sows were fed a common gestation diet (14% CP and .68% lysine) from weaning to next farrowing. Litter size was standardized by d 3 postpartum to 10 pigs in parity 1 and 11 pigs in parity 2 and 3. Increasing dietary lysine (protein) linearly decreased (P<.05) voluntary feed intake of parity 1 (from 5.4 to 4.6 kg/d), 2 (from 6.5 to 5.8 kg/d), and 3 sows (from 6.8 to 6.2 kg/d). With the increase of dietary lysine (protein) concentration during lactation, litter weight gain responded quadratically (P<.05) in all three parities. Maximal litter ADG was 2.06, 2.36, and 2.49 kg/d in parities 1, 2, and 3, respectively, which occurred at about 44, 55, and 56 g/d of lysine intake for parity 1, 2, and 3 sows, respectively. Increasing dietary lysine (protein) had no effect (P>.1) on sow weight change, weaning-to-estrus interval, and farrowing rate in all three parities and no effect on backfat change in parity 2 and 3, but tended to increase backfat loss linearly (P<.1) in parity 1. A linear decrease of second litter size (total born, from 11.7 to 10.1, P<.1; born alive, from 11.0 to 8.9, P<.01) was observed when dietary lysine (protein) increased during the first lactation. Lysine (protein) intake during the second lactation had a quadratic effect on third litter size (P<.05; total born: 13.3, 11.2, 11.6, 11.9, and 13.6; born alive: 11.8, 10.1, 10.3, 11.2, and 12.4). However, fourth litter size was not influenced by lysine (protein) intake during the third lactation. These results suggest that the lysine (protein) requirement for subsequent reproduction is not higher than that for milk production. Parity influences the lysine (protein) requirement for lactating sows and the response of subsequent litter size to previous lactation lysine (protein) intake.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To develop estimates of lifetime productivity for breeding female swine calculated longitudinally during time in the breeding herd, and to compare estimates of lifetime productivity for female swine removed from the herd at different parities. DESIGN: Retrospective cohort study. ANIMALS: 9,416 breeding female swine from 29 herds. PROCEDURE: A frequency distribution for parity at the time of removal was generated. Estimates of lifetime productivity (lifetime nonproductive days [NPD], lifetime NPD as a proportion of herd life, total number of pigs born per litter weaned, number of pigs born alive per litter weaned, number of pigs weaned per litter weaned, number of NPD per year in the herd, number of litters weaned per year in the herd, and number of pigs weaned per year in the herd) were calculated for females with parity > or = 1 at the time of removal. RESULTS: For 58% of all females, parity at the time of removal was < or = 3. On average, 20.7% of herd life was spent in nonproductive activities, but the proportion of herd life that was nonproductive decreased significantly as parity at the time of removal increased. Number of NPD per year in the herd decreased and number of litters weaned per year in the herd and number of pigs weaned per year in the herd increased significantly as parity at the time of removal increased. CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: Higher parity at the time of removal from the herd is associated with improved lifetime productivity for female swine. Parity at time of removal is commonly used as an approximation for lifetime productivity, but it does not take into account the impact of NPD, especially NPD during early reproductive cycles.  相似文献
