Five unusual new prenylated chalcones, renifolins D–H (15), were isolated from whole Desmodium renifolium plants. All of their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods including 1D and 2D NMR. All of the isolates were evaluated for cytotoxicity using five tumor cell lines. Compounds 2 and 3 exhibited cytotoxicity against A549 cells, with IC50 values of 2.8 and 2.2 μM, respectively.  相似文献

Five novel compounds — three sesquiterpene coumarin derivatives, ferulin A (1), B (2), and C (3), and two sesquiterpene chromone derivatives, ferulin D (4) and E (5), together with eleven known compounds (616) have been isolated from the roots of Ferula ferulaeoides (Steud.) Korov. Their structures were established by comprehensive spectroscopic analysis. The biosynthetic pathways leading to these compounds were proposed. The cytotoxicity of all these isolates against HepG2, MCF-7, and C6 cancer cell lines was evaluated and compound 7 displayed the highest potency against HepG2, MCF-7, and C6 with IC50 values 39.9 μM, 37.7 μM, and 16.0 μM, respectively.  相似文献

Two new cis-stilbenoids, sciryagarol I (1) and II (2) were isolated from the EtOAc extract of the tubers of Scirpus yagara, together with four known compounds. The structures of all compounds were determined by comprehensive analyses of their spectroscopic data and comparison with literature information. The compounds 3, 4 and 6 were isolated for the first time from this genus. Some compounds were tested for their cytotoxicity against human tumor cell lines and antimicrobial activity. Compounds 1–4 showed significant cytotoxicity against the Hela cell lines with IC50 values ranging from 7.21 to 61.21 μM. 1 and 2 exhibited some antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans with uniform MICs of 79.3 μl/ml for 2, and 152 μl/ml for 1, respectively.  相似文献

Three new compounds, a bicoumarin A (1), a biflavonoid A (2), and a biquinone A (3), as well as 12 other known compounds, were isolated from the flower of Lawsonia inermis L. The structures were elucidated by spectral analysis and new compounds 2 and 3 then were further confirmed by ECD calculations and single-crystal X-ray diffraction crystallography respectively. The cytotoxicity of the compounds against four cancer cell lines, including MCF-7, Hela, HCT-116, and HT-29 were evaluated using MTT assay. The IC50 values of compounds 3 and 5 against MCF-7, Hela, HCT-116, and HT-29 were 2.24, 1.42, 24.29, and 7.02 μM and 6.1, 2.44, 5.58, and 10.21 μM respectively. The two compounds exhibited stronger inhibitory activities than the positive control 5-fluorouracil (IC50 = 7.34, 11.50, 36.17, 18.83 μM) against the four tested cell lines. These results demonstrated that compounds from the flowers of L. inermis L. showed cytotoxic activity on MCF-7, Hela, HCT-116, and HT-29 cell lines.  相似文献

Three new cleistanthane diterpenes named tomocinon (1), tomocinol A (2), and tomocinol B (3), were isolated from the EtOAc extract of the seed of Caesalpinia sappan. Their structures were determined by extensive NMR spectroscopic analysis. The absolute stereochemistry of tomocinon (1) has been established by CD spectroscopic analysis. Cleistanthane diterpenes (13) represents the novel class of antiausterity agents having preferential cytotoxicity against PANC-1 human pancreatic cancer cell line under nutrient deprived condition with PC50 value of 34.7 μM, 42.4 μM and 39.4 μM, respectively.  相似文献

Four new triterpenoids, indicalilacols A-D (14), were isolated from the MeOH extract of the fruits of Azadirachta indica, including a new 19(10  9β)abeo-tirucallane derivative, two new tirucallane-type triterpenoids, and a new euphane-type triterpenoid, along with three known tirucallane-type triterpenoids. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. The absolute configuration of 2 was elucidated by the chemical conversion of 2 into 21-oxo-melianodiol 24,25-acetonide. Compounds 2, 68 exhibited moderate cytotoxicity against three human cancer cell lines, including multidrug-resistant (MDR) cancer cells (KB-C2). Although compound 5 was not cytotoxic against any of the tested cancer cell lines, 5 showed cytotoxicity against KB-C2 cells in the presence of 2.5 μM colchicine, suggesting that 5 might have an MDR-reversal effect.  相似文献

Two new xanthones: mangostanaxanthones I (3) and II (5) were isolated from the pericarp of Garcinia mangostana, along with four known xanthones: 9-hydroxycalabaxanthone (1), parvifolixanthone C (2), α-mangostin (4), and rubraxanthone (6). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of IR, UV, 1D, 2D NMR, and MS spectroscopic data, in addition to comparison with literature data. The isolated compounds were evaluated for their antioxidant, antimicrobial, and quorum-sensing inhibitory activities. Compounds 3 and 5 displayed promising antioxidant activity with IC50 12.07 and 14.12 μM, respectively using DPPH assay. Compounds 46 had weak to moderate activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, while demonstrated promising action against Bacillus cereus with MICs 0.25, 1.0, and 1.0 mg/mL, respectively. The tested compounds were inactive against Candida albicans. However, they showed selective antifungal potential toward Aspergillus fumigatus. Compounds 3 and 4 possessed quorum-sensing inhibitory activity against Chromobacterium violaceum ATCC 12472.  相似文献

Six new shionane-type triterpenes, astershionones A–F (16), were obtained from the roots and rhizomes of Aster tataricus. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data, mainly NMR and MS data. The absolute configuration of 1 was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and CD analysis. 3 showed inhibitory activity against HBsAg and HBeAg secretion with IC50 values of 23.0 and 23.1 μM, and cytotoxicity against HepG 2.2.15 cells with a CC50 value of 170.5 μM. 3 also exhibited inhibitory activity against HBV DNA replication with an IC50 value of 22.4 μM.  相似文献

Five new mexicanolide-type limonoids, carapanolides C–G (15), together with two new phragmalin-type limonoids, carapanolides H–I (6, 7), were isolated from the oil of Carapa guianasis AUBLET (Meliaceae) seeds. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses using 1D and 2D NMR spectra and FABMS. Carapanolides C (1), E (3), and I (7) exhibited moderate activity in the P388 (IC50 17.9 μM in 1, 15.8 μM in 3) and L1210 cell lines (IC50 13.3 μM in 1, 18.1 μM in 3, 16.9 μM in 7). On the other hand, Carapanolide D (2) exhibited a strong inhibitory effect in the HL-60 cell line (IC50 11.0 μM), Carapanolides F (4) showed inhibitory activity in the L1210 cell line (IC50 15.9 μM), and the cytotoxic activity of Carapanolides I (7) was moderate in all cell lines.  相似文献

One unique prenylated bibenzyl, kurzphenol A (1), two new prenylated flavonoids, kurzphenols B and C (2 and 3), as well as fourteen known compounds (417) were isolated from the twigs of Macaranga kurzii. Compound 1 was the first example of prenylated bibenzyl which possesses a benzofuran ring. All the known compounds were isolated from M. kurzii for the first time. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic interpretation. Compounds 117 were tested for their cytotoxicity against A-549 and Hep G2 cancer cell lines and showed IC50 values in the range of 9.76–30.14 μg/mL.  相似文献

A new cyclodepsipeptide cordycecin A (1), together with four known ones beauvericin E (2), beauvericin J (3), beauvericin (4), and beauvericin A (5) was isolated from the ascocarps and insect-body portions of fungus Cordyceps cicadae. Their structures were identified by NMR and MS analyses. The absolute configuration of 1 was confirmed by crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 25 exhibited a significant inhibitory effect on HepG2 and HepG2/ADM cells with IC50 values ranging from 2.40 ± 0.37 to 14.48 ± 1.68 μM. Interestingly, compounds 35 showed cytotoxic activity against multiple drug resistant HepG2 cell line (HepG2/ADM) with IC50 value 25-fold more sensitive to doxorubicin.  相似文献

Two new lanostanoids, 3α-acetoxy-22-oxo-5α-lanosta-8,24-dien-21-oic acid, named tsugaric acid D (1) and 16α-hydroxy-3-oxo-5α-lanosta-6,8,24(241)-trien-21-oic acid, named tsugaric acid E (2) were isolated from the fruit bodies of Ganoderma tsugae. The structures 1 and 2 were determined by spectroscopic methods. Compound 1 and known compounds 3 and 6 exhibited significant inhibitory effects on xanthine oxidase (XO) activity with an IC50 values of 90.2 ± 24.2, 116.1 ± 3.0, and 181.9 ± 5.8 μM, respectively. Known compound 5 was able to protect human keratinocytes against damage induced by UVB light, which showed 5 could protect keratinocytes from photodamage. The 1 and 5 μM 1 combined with 5 μM cisplatin, respectively, enhanced the cytotoxicity induced by cisplatin. It suggested that 1 and 5 μM 1 combined with low dose of cisplatin may enhance the therapeutic efficacy of cisplatin and reduce side effect and cisplatin resistant.  相似文献

Five new 8-9′ linked neolignans conchigeranals A–E (15), together with three known compounds galanganal (6), galanganols A (7) and B (8), were isolated from the whole plant of Alpinia conchigera. Their structures were established by spectroscopic analysis, including 2D-NMR spectroscopic techniques. Cytotoxicities of compounds 18 were tested against two cancer cell lines A549 and Hela. Results showed that 4, 5, 7 and 8 exhibited cytotoxicity against A549 with the IC50 values of 12.36, 9.72, 10.26, 13.05 μg/ml, respectively, and 18 against Hela with the IC50 values from 1.53 to 5.29 μg/ml.  相似文献

Four new diterpenoids (1,4,5,9), together with 7 known diterpenoids (2,3,68,10,11), were isolated from the roots to Euphorbia fischeriana. On the basis of 1D and 2D NMR, HR-ESI-MS spectroscopic analysis, structures of the new compounds were elucidated as 11β-hydroxy-8,14-epoxy-ent-abieta-13(15)-en-16,12-olide (1), 3,20-dihydroxy-ent-1(10), 15-rosadiene (4), 3,7-dihydroxy-ent-1(10), 15-rosadiene (5), ingenol 6,7-epoxy-3- tetradecanoate (9). The compounds isolated were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against four cancer cell lines (A549, BEL7402, HCT116, and MDA-MB-231). Three ingenol diterpenoids (911) showed significant cytotoxicity against A549 with IC50 value of 3.35, 2.85, 2.88 μg/mL, respectively.  相似文献

Two new alkaloids, named stenine A (1) and stenine B (2), along with the known compounds neostenine (3), stenine (4) and neotuberostemonine (5), were isolated from the roots of Stemona sessilifolia. Their structures were elucidated by 1D- and 2D-NMR spectra and X-ray single-crystal diffraction experiment. Anti-acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity of compounds 15 were also tested. Compounds 2 and 4 showed significant anti-acetylcholinesterase activities, with IC50 values of 2.1 ± 0.2 μM and 19.8 ± 2.5 μM, resp. The mode of AChE inhibition by Compound 2 (the most potential AChE inhibitor) was reversible and competitive. Sour jujube is a common fruit and traditional medicine in China. Bioactivity-guided fractionation of sour jujube was used to determine the chemical identity of potent antiproliferative and antioxidant constituents. Four novel ursane-type triterpenoids, together with 8 known were isolated and identified. The new triterpenoids were elucidated to be 2α,3β,13β,23-tetrahydroxy-urs-11-en-28-oic acid (3), 2α,3β-dihydroxy-urs-20(30)-en-28-oic acid (9), 2α,3β,28-trihydroxy-urs-20(30)-ene (10), and 3β,12β,13β-trihydroxy-ursan-28-oic acid (11). Among the triterpenoids isolated, 2α,3β,19α-trihydroxy-urs-12-en-28-oic acid (7), 9 and 10 showed high potent inhibitory activity toward the proliferation of HepG2 cells, which the IC50 values were lower than 5 μM. Compounds 9 and 10 also exhibited pronounced activity against MCF-7 cells, with IC50 value of 0.8 ± 0.03 and 1.5 ± 0.1 μM, respectively. Compound 10 showed high antioxidant activity with an EC50 of 0.8 ± 0.02 μM, which was 18.9 times higher than ascorbic acid in antioxidant capacity.  相似文献

Four new isocoumarins (14), along with three known ones (57), were isolated from the 70% ethanol extract of the whole body of the traditional Chinese insect medicine, American cockroach (Periplaneta americana). The structures with absolute configurations of new compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods in combination with X-ray diffraction experiment and CD analyses. Bioassay-guided phytochemical studies on Stellera chamaejasme led to the isolation of two new biflavones, chamaejasmenin E (1) and chamaejasmin D (2), together with ten known compounds. The structures of new compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analyses and their absolute configurations on 2, 3, 2″ and 3″ were confirmed by TDDFT quantum chemical calculated ECD spectra combined with experimental ECD spectra. All isolated biflavones were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities against Bel-7402 and A549 tumor cell lines, and sikokianin D (3) was found to possess the most potential cytotoxic activities against both the two cell lines with IC50 values of 1.29 ± 0.21 and 0.75 ± 0.25 μM, respectively. Moreover, some structure–function relationships of these bioflavones for cytotoxic activities were explored and summarized.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to elucidate the bioactive components responsible for the the α-glucosidase inhibitory activity detected in the EtOAc extract of the mushroom Hydnellum concrescens. Two new p-terphenyl derivatives, concrescenins A (1) and B (2), in along with six known compounds thelephantins L (3), I (4), J (5), K (6), dihydroauran-tiacin dibenzoate (7), and curtisian A (8) were isolated from the fruiting bodies of H. concrescens. Their chemical structures were elucidated by NMR experiments. Compounds 14 and 68 showed the inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase with the IC50 of 0.99, 3.11, 4.53, 18.77, 2.98, 5.16, and 8.34 μM, respectively. Kinetic analysis of α-glucosidase indicated that compounds 1 and 2 inhibited the activity of α-glucosidase in a noncompetitive fashion with a Ki value of 0.02 and 0.21 μM, respectively. In antioxidant evaluation, compounds 1 and 4 showed weak DPPH scavenging activity (EC50 = 82.50 and 161.75 μM) and weak reducing ability (EC50 = 193.57 and 152.94 μM). The current research supports the potential use of mushroom-derived p-terphenyl derivatives for the treatment of diabetes.  相似文献

A new cyathane diterpene, named as cyathin I (1), as well as two known cyathane diterpenes (12R)-11a,14a-epoxy-13a,14b,15-trihydroxycyath-3-ene (2) and erinacine I (3), were isolated from the liquid culture of Cyathus hookeri Berk. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis.
