Aloe barbadensis Mill has been used as food and medicine for a long time. In order to investigate the chemical constituents of A. barbadensis and their inhibitory activities towards phosphodiesterase-4D (PDE4D), 70% methanol extract of the dried A. barbadensis powder was employed. Phytochemical investigation has led to the isolation of three new chromones, 5-(hydroxymethyl)-7-methoxy-2-methylchromone (4), 5-((4E)-2′-oxo-pentenyl)-2-hydroxymethylchromone (6), and 7-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-2-methylchromone (7), together with eighteen known compounds. Their chemical structures were determined based on spectroscopic methods including UV, IR, 1D and 2D NMR, and HRMS spectrometry. In addition, their inhibition against PDE4D was evaluated using tritium-labeled adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate (3H-cAMP) as the substrate. Inhibition was calculated by the variation of radioactivity after the reaction, and compounds 14, 10, and 21 exhibited certain inhibitory activities towards PDE4D, which can provide an explanation why A. barbadensis can serve as anti-inflammatory agents.  相似文献

The antifungal activity of twenty-two common spices was evaluated against plant pathogens using direct-bioautography coupled Colletotrichum bioassays. Turmeric, nutmeg, ginger, clove, oregano, cinnamon, anise, fennel, basil, black cumin, and black pepper showed antifungal activity against the plant pathogens Colletotrichum acutatum, Colletotrichum fragariae, and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. Among the active extracts, turmeric and nutmeg were the most active and were chosen for further investigation. The bioassay-guided fractionation led to the isolation of three compounds from turmeric (13) and three compounds from nutmeg (46). Their chemical structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis including HR-MS, 1D, and 2D NMR as curcumin (1), demethoxycurcumin (2) and bisdemethoxy-curcumin (3), erythro-(7R,8R)-Δ8′-4,7-dihydroxy-3,3′,5′-trimethoxy-8-O-4′-neolignan (4), erythro-(7R,8R)-Δ8′-7-acetoxy-3,4,3′,5′-tetra-methoxy-8-O-4′-neolignan (5), and 5-hydroxy-eugenol (6). The isolated compounds were subsequently evaluated using a 96-well microbioassay against plant pathogens. At 30 μM, compounds 2 and 3 possessed the most antifungal activity against Phomopsis obscurans and Phomopsis viticola, respectively.  相似文献

Three new 2-(2-phenylethyl)chromone derivatives (13), together with thirteen known ones (416), were isolated from the EtOAc extract of Chinese agarwood induced by artificial holing, originating from Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.) Gilg (Thymelaeaceae). The chemical structures of the new compounds were identified by spectroscopic techniques (UV, IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR). Compounds 1, 6, 15 and 16 exhibited inhibitory effects on Staphylococcus aureus, and compounds 15 and 16 showed inhibitory effects on Ralstonia solanacearum. Compounds 13, 7, 9, 11, 12, 15 and 16 exhibited acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity. A possible biogenetic pathway of compounds 116 was proposed to show the relationships between diepoxy-tetrahydro-2-(2-phenylethyl)chromones, epoxy-tetrahydro-2-(2-phenylethyl) chromones, tetrahydro-2-(2-phenylethyl)chromones, and 2-(2-phenylethyl)chromones of the flidersia type, the four main types of 2-(2-phenylethyl)chromones found in agarwood, on the basis of their appearances in different stage of agarwood formation.  相似文献

Four new diterpenoids (1,4,5,9), together with 7 known diterpenoids (2,3,68,10,11), were isolated from the roots to Euphorbia fischeriana. On the basis of 1D and 2D NMR, HR-ESI-MS spectroscopic analysis, structures of the new compounds were elucidated as 11β-hydroxy-8,14-epoxy-ent-abieta-13(15)-en-16,12-olide (1), 3,20-dihydroxy-ent-1(10), 15-rosadiene (4), 3,7-dihydroxy-ent-1(10), 15-rosadiene (5), ingenol 6,7-epoxy-3- tetradecanoate (9). The compounds isolated were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against four cancer cell lines (A549, BEL7402, HCT116, and MDA-MB-231). Three ingenol diterpenoids (911) showed significant cytotoxicity against A549 with IC50 value of 3.35, 2.85, 2.88 μg/mL, respectively.  相似文献

Rigenolide A (1), a new secoiridoid glucoside with a cyclobutane skeleton and three new acylated secoiridoid glucosides, 2′-(2,3-dihydroxybenzoyl)-gentiopicroside (2), 2′-(2,3-dihydroxybenzoyl)-swertiamarin (3), 3′-(2,3-dihydroxybenzoyl)-sweroside (4), along with two noriridoids (7 and 8) and two known secoiridoid glucosides (5 and 6), were isolated from Gentiana rigescens Franch. The structures of new compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analyses. The isolated compounds were evaluated for DPPH free-radical scavenging activity.  相似文献

One new resveratrol analogue, 1-(3′,4′,5′-trimethoxyphenyl)-2-methoxy-2-(4″-methoxyphenyl)-ethane-1-ol (1), and two new prenylisoflavones, 4′-hydroxy-5,7-dimethoxy-6-(3-methyl-2-butenyl)-isoflavone (2), and derrubon 5-methyl ether (3), together with 17 known compounds including one new natural product, 5,7-dihydroxy-3-[4′-O-(3-methyl-2-butenyl)-phenyl]-isoflavone (4), were isolated from the stems of ethnomedicinal plant Derris eriocarpa How. (Leguminosae). Their structures were elucidated based on chemical evidence and spectroscopic techniques including two-dimensional NMR methods. All compounds are reported from this species for the first time. Antimicrobial activities of the new compounds were evaluated. Compound 2 exhibited good inhibitory activities against Candida guilliermondii, C. albicans and Microsporium gypseum with the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of 12.5 μg/ml.  相似文献

Eleven new acyl quinic acid derivatives, 4-O-caffeoyl-3-O-syringoylquinic acid methyl ester (1), 4-O-caffeoyl-3-O-vanilloylquinic acid (2), 4-O-caffeoyl-3-O-vanilloylquinic acid methyl ester (3), 5-O-caffeoyl-3-O-vanilloylquinic acid (4), 5-O-caffeoyl-3-O-vanilloylquinic acid methyl ester (5), 5-O-caffeoyl-3-O-sinapoylquinic acid (6), 5-O-caffeoyl-4-O-vanilloylquinic acid (7), 4-O-(7‴S, 8‴R)-glycosmisoyl-5-O-caffeoylquinic acid methyl ester (8), 4-O-(7‴S, 8‴R)-glycosmisoyl-5-O-caffeoylquinic acid (9), 3-O-(7‴S, 8‴R)-glycosmisoyl-4-O-caffeoylquinic acid (10), and 3-O-(7‴S, 8‴R)-glycosmisoyl-4-O-caffeoylquinic acid methyl ester (11), have been isolated from the stems of Erycibe obtusifolia together with eight known compounds (1219). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data analysis (UV, IR, HRESIMS, CD, and 1D and 2D NMR) and chemical evidence. In in vitro assay, compounds 7 and 1618 exhibited significant neuroprotective effects against rotenone induced PC12 cell damage at 10 μM.  相似文献

Two new sesquiterpenes, together with 32 known compounds(334), were isolated from Artemisia sieversiana Ehrhart ex willd. and the compounds 321 were isolated from this plant for the first time. The new compounds were elucidated as 2α,9α-dihydroxymuurol-3(4)-en-12-oic acid (1) and 13α-methyl-(5αH,6αH,7αH,8αH)-austricin 8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), respectively. The structural identification of these compounds was mainly achieved by spectroscopic methods including 1D and 2D NMR techniques, and the structure of compound 1 was confirmed by a single crystal X-ray diffraction experiment. Compounds 12 were evaluated for cytotoxic activity in vitro against MCF-7, NCI-H460 and Hep-G2 cell lines, respectively.  相似文献

Mulberry leaf, an important traditional Chinese medicine, possesses many biological activities, including effects of anti-obesity. However, which constituents of mulberry leaf are responsible for its anti-adipogenic action is unclear. This study primarily investigated the chemical constituents from mulberry leaf and their bioactivity on the proliferation and differentiation of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. A new flavane derivative, (2S)-4′-hydroxy-7-methoxy-8-prenylflavan (1), together with twelve known compounds including three flavanes (24), three chalcones (57), two flavones (89), two benzofurans (1011) and two coumarin (1213) was isolated from mulberry leaf. The structure of the new compound was elucidated by various spectroscopic methods including UV, HR-ESI-MS, 1H and 13C NMR and CD. The results of activity screening showed that compound 2, 6 and 7 inhibited the proliferation and differentiation of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes.  相似文献

Thirteen triterpenoids (113), including two new lupane triterpenoids, salacinins A and B (1 and 2), as well as one new friedelane triterpenoid, salacinin C (3), were isolated from the roots and stems of Salacia hainanensis. The structures of new compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis including 1D and 2D NMR, and MS experiments. Compound 1 possesses rare 2,3-seco-lupane skeleton. The stem bark of Euonymus japonicus Thunb. led to the isolation of three new glycosylsphingolipids (13), 1-O-[-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl]-(2S,3R,9E)-2-N-[(2R)-hydroxystearoyl]-octadecasphinga-9-ene (euojaposphingoside A, 1), 1-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl]-(2S,3R,4R,11E)-2-N-[(2R)-hydroxydocasanoyl]-octadecasphinga-11-ene (euojaposphingoside B, 2), 1-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl]-2′-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl]-(2S,3R,4R,11E)-2-N-[(2R)-hydroxytetracosanoyl]-octadecasphinga-11-ene (euojaposphingoside C, 3) along with three known glycosylsphingolipids (46), 1-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl]-(2S,3R,9E)-3-hydroxymethyl-2-N-[(2R)-hydroxynonacosanoyl)-tridecasphinga-9-ene (4), 1-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl]-(2S,3R,9E,12E)-2-N-[(2R)-hydroxytetracosanoyl] octadecasphinga-9,12–diene (5), 1-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl]-(2S,3R,5R,9E)-2-N-[tridecanoyl] nonacosasphinga-9-ene (6), lupeol (7), stigmasterol (8), sitosterol (β and α) (9,10) and β-carotene (11). The structure of all the compounds was achieved by spectroscopic and chemical data analysis. The antiplasmodial, antileismanial and cytotoxic activity of all compounds was tested.  相似文献

Five new terpenoid glycosides, named as officinoterpenosides A1 (1), A2 (2), B (3), C (4), and D (5), together with 11 known ones, (1S,4S,5S)-5-exo-hydrocamphor 5-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (6), isorosmanol (7), rosmanol (8), 7-methoxyrosmanol (9), epirosmanol (10), ursolic acid (11), micromeric acid (12), oleanolic acid (13), niga-ichigoside F1 (14), glucosyl tormentate (15), and asteryunnanoside B (16), were obtained from the aerial parts of Rosmarinus officinalis L. Their structures were elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods (UV, IR, HRESI-TOF-MS, 1D and 2D NMR). Among the new ones, 1 and 2, 3 and 4 are diterpenoid and triterpenoid glycosides, respectively; and 5 is a normonoterpenoid. For the known ones, 6 was isolated from the Rosmarinus genus first, and 15, 16 were obtained from this species for the first time.  相似文献

Four new compounds, microminutin B (1), microminutin C (2), micromarinate (3), and secomicromelin (4) as well as 17 known compounds were isolated from the fruits of Micromelum falcatum. All compounds were evaluated for antifungal activity against Pythium insidiosum using disc diffusion assay. P. insidiosum is a fungus-like microorganism for which antifungal agents now available are not effective. The results show that four compounds including secomicromelin (4), 7-methoxy-8-(4′-methyl-3′-furanyl)coumarin (10), micromarin B (17), and isomicromelin (19) could inhibit the mycelia growth of P. insidiosum.  相似文献

Phytochemical and antimicrobial activity study on the ethanol extract of the leaves and stems of Loropetalum chinense led to the isolation of a new flavan-3-ol compounds, 8-[1-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-methoxy-3-oxopropyl]-catechin (loropetaliside A) (1) and a new lignan glucoside, 1-(5-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-2-(2-β-glucopyranosyl-4-hydroxy-5-(1-(E)propen-3-ol)-phenyl)-propane-3-ol (loropetaliside B) (3) and several known compounds manglieside D (2), quercetin (4), kaempferol-3-O-D-glucopyranoside (5), quercetin-3-O-β-L-rhamnoside (6) and tiliroside (7). Four new ligustilides chuanxiongnolide R1 (1), chuanxiongnolide R2 (2), chuanxiongdiolide R1 (3) and chuanxiongdiolide R2 (4) together with eight known derivatives (512) were isolated from the root of Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort. Their structures were elucidated by HR-ESI-MS, UV, IR, 1D and 2D NMR (HSQC, HMBC, 1H–1H COSY, NOESY) methods. The absolute configurations were confirmed via the circular dichroism (CD) spectrum. The anti-inflammatory assay in LPS-triggered RAW 264.7 macrophages was carried out on the twelve compounds. 1, 3, 5 and 6 showed significant inhibitory effects against LPS-induced NO production.  相似文献

Six new 14-noreudesmane sesquiterpenoids, nicotabacosides A–F (16), along with five known sesquiterpenoids (711), were isolated from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum. The structures of compounds 16 were elucidated as isorishitin 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (1), rishitin 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (2), rishitin 2-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (3), 1, 6-dehydro-rishitin 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (4), 2-hydroxyl-ligudentatol 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (5) and oxyglutinosone 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (6) based on extensive spectroscopic analyses (HRESIMS, UV, IR, 1D and 2D NMR). Five new ursane-type triterpenoidal saponins (15), together with five known ones (610), were isolated from the EtOH extract of the roots of Ilex cornuta. The structures of saponins 15 were elucidated as 19α-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid 3β-O-β-D-glucuronopyranoside (1), 19α-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid 3β-O-β-D-glucuronopyranoside-6-O-ethyl ester (2), 19α-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid 3β-O-α-L-arabinopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-D-glucuronopyranoside (3), 3β-O-[α-L-arabinopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-D-glucuronopyranosyl]-19α-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester (4) and 3β-O-[α-L-arabinopyranosyl-(1  2)-β-D-glucuronopyranoside-6-O-methyl ester]-19α-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester (5), on the basis of spectroscopic analyses (IR, ESI-MS, HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR) and chemical reactions. Protective effects of compounds 110 against H2O2-induced H9c2 cardiomyocyte injury were tested. Compounds 15, 7, and 10 showed cell-protective effects. Among them compound 5 exhibited the highest activity. No significant DPPH radical scavenging activity was observed for compounds 110.  相似文献

Five new chlorophenolic glucosides, curculigine E (1), curculigine F (2), curculigine G (3), curculigine H (5), curculigine I (6) and one new phenolic glycoside, orcinoside H (4), together with eight known phenolic glycosides (714) were isolated from the Curculigo orchioides Gaertn. Their structures were established by spectroscopic techniques (IR, UV, MS, 1D and 2D NMR). The isolated phenolic glycosides were evaluated for antiosteoporotic activity against MC3T3-E1 cell line using MTT assays. Compounds 1, 2, 3, and 5 showed moderate antiosteoporotic activity with the proliferation rate of 10.1–14.1%.  相似文献

A 70% ethanol extract of the roots of Livistona chinensis has been investigated, led to the isolation of 13 compounds, including a new ceramide, (2S,3S,4R,9Z)-2-[(2R)-2-hydroxytricosanoylamino]-9-octadecene-1,3,4-triol (2), a new glycosyl ceramide, 1-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(2S,3S,4R,9Z)-2-[(2R)-2-hydroxydocosanoylamino]-9-octadecene-1,3,4-triol (3), three new monoacylglycerols, 1-(34-hydroxytetratriacontanoyl)-sn-glycerol (9), 1-[nonadeca-(9Z,12Z)-dienoyl]-sn-glycerol (10), and 1-[12-hydroxypentatriaconta-(13E,15Z)-dienoyl]-sn-glycerol (11), a new diacylglycerol, 1-(heptadeca-6Z,9Z-dienoyl)-3-(octadeca-6Z,9Z,12Z-trienoyl)-sn-glycerol (12), as well as a new diacylglycerol aminoglycoside, 1-octadecanoyl-2-nonadecanoyl-3-O-(6-amino-6-deoxy)-β-d-glucopyranosyl-sn-glycerol (13). The structures of new compounds were elucidated, based on spectroscopic, zymologic and chemical methods. Among the compounds tested, compounds 3, 4 and 13 showed significantly antiproliferative effects against the human tumor cell lines (K562, HL-60, HepG2, and CNE-1) with the IC50 of 10–65 μM. To our knowledge, this is first report of the occurrence of ceramides and acylglycerols in the genus Livistona.  相似文献

A new lanostane triterpenoid, 2-hydroxy-24-methylenelanostan-1,8-dien-3-one named klainedoxalanostenone (1) with one new steroid, 6-O-acyl-β-d-glucosyl-β-sitosterol named klainedoxasterol (2) together with ten known compounds including six triterpenoids (38), two steroids (9, 10) and two tanins (11, 12) were isolated from the stem bark of Klainedoxa gabonensis. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of lanostane-type triterpenoids from this genus. Their structures were determined by extensive analysis of spectroscopic data (1D and 2D NMR, MS) and by comparison with literature data. The xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity of nine compounds (16, 8, 10 and 11) were evaluated. Compound 5 showed a good xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity; the other tested compounds were moderately active.  相似文献
