Investigation and Control Measures on Toxic Plant Disasters on Grassland in Alax of Inner Mongolia

The development of animal husbandry in the region of alax(Inner Mongolia) has been plagued by toxic plant.We surveyed the situations by local investigation and literature.The history and the current situation,the loss,the species of toxic plant and their distribution,the biological characteristics of the serious toxic plant were investigated.The concrete measures to control the disasters were listed.The survey result showed that the rate of toxic plant poisoning reached 60%,the mortatity reached 30%.14 kinds of toxic plants are the dominant species,and the most serious toxic plants are Astragalus variabilis,Oxytropis flabra,Astragalus hamiensis,Cynanchum komarovii,Achnatherum inebrians.the position of toxic plants by the data of GPS.Besides the traditional control methods,some feasible controlling measures and comprehensive utilization were listed.The toxic plant poisoning were effectively controlled after the measures were promoted.
