| Abstract: | A virus was isolated from the a sick calf with bovine viral diarrhea(BVD) like syndrome on a farm in Jilin province.The virus could be replicated in MDBK cell without cytopathogenic effects.The virus was identified as BVD virus(designated as BVDV-JL) by specific indirect immunofluorescent assay,virus neutralization assay and RT-PCR.The BVDV antibody-free calves at age of 3 to 6 months were artificially infected by the BVDV-JL.All infected calves developed higher fever,leukopenia and virus shedding.These res... |
