Analysis on Some Issues Related to Rules for Slaughtering and Quarantine of Poultry

The Rules for Slaughtering and Quarantine of Poultry(abbreviated as“the Rules”)has played an important role in standardizing the slaughtering and quarantine of poultry,strengthening the quarantine management of poultry products,and in safeguarding the safety of animal-derived food.In the paper,the issues related to the definition of poultry slaughterhouse,applicable animals,quarantine objects and determination of quarantine standards specified in the Rules were summarized,especially the question on how to issue a quarantine certificate after poultry products were stored,against which,a solution that the certificate could be issued by means of continuous transportation or distribution in such cases was proposed.Considering all of the above,it was suggested that the application scope and quarantine objects of slaughtering and quarantine of poultry should be extended in the future,the Rules should be further revised and improved to upgrade the level of slaughtering and quarantine technology.
