摘    要:本文报道了用人工饲料和盆栽水稻交替饲养三化螟的方法。用这种方法,每个世代仅需少量水稻就能获得数千头发育整齐的三龄幼虫及数百头可知发育进度的蛹或活力正常的成虫,从而解决了三化螟各项试验中的虫源问题。

Abstract:In recent years, a rearing method of the yellow rice borer on artificial diet alternating with potted rice plants was developed in our laboratory. In this procedure, newly hatched larvae were allowed to develop to the third instar on an artificial diet, and then transferred to the potted rice plants (a 14×38cm plastic pot containing about 70 rice plants), developed until they reached adult stage. The eggs laid by gravid female moths were inoculated to the artificial diet. Newly hatched larvae were allowed to develop to the third instar on the artificial diet and then transferred to the potted rice plants.Using this procedure, over 400 adult moths were obtained per 20 pots of rice plants and the activities of adult moths were normal as compared with those reared completely on its natural host.
