Abstract:Based on a comparison of the parasitism effects of six nematodespecies and strains,belonging to Steinernematidae and Heterorhabditi-dae,on striped flea beetle Phyllotreta vittata (Fabricius) larvae,it isfound that Steinernema feltiae(strain A_24)and Heterorhabditis sp.(86H-1)were most effective,the parasitizations at three days after treatmentwere up to 100%.Field application showed that the 94% of the bee-tle larvae were parasitized and 97% of the effective beetle populationwas decreased by S. feltiae(A_24) at five days after application.It issuggested that this nematode species is an available agent for bio-control against striped flea beetle.
