摘    要:简要回顾了可持续发展研究进展 ,并运用社会统计学方法 ,基于 spss 1 0 .0对统计数据进行处理和分析 ,结合我国西部城市发展现状 ,对西部 2 5个地级中等城市的持续发展进行了综合评价 ,结果表明 :西部地区中等城市呈现出弱可持续或不可持续发展 ;经济、社会、环境发展呈现明显的不同步性 ,经济与社会发展呈较强的正相关 ,经济发展与环境发展呈弱的负相关 ;且各城市持续发展综合能力分异明显。分析指出调整产业结构、加强城市规划和建设、加快基础设施建设等是促进西部中等城市由弱可持续或不可持续向可持续发展演进的关键。

Abstract:In this article, evolvement of sustainable development research is briefly reviewed, by the method of society statistics the. data is analyzed and transacted based on spss10.0 to make a comprehensive evaluation on sustainable development combining development status in quo of the 25 mid-sized cities in the west part of china. It tells that all of the mid-sized cities take on feeble or unsustainable development and economy, society, environment development take on obvious unsynchronization, economy development has an stronger positive correlation with society development, but feeble negative correlation with environment development; The comprehensive ability of sustainable development also has great diversity. At last, the author points that adjusting industrial structure, strengthening city plan and construction, quickening construction of basic establishment are the key of accelerating all the mid-sided cities evolvement from feeble or unsustainable development to sustainable development.
