Abstract:The effects of different PX(p-Xylene)concentrations(4.00,0.80,and 0.16 μmol/L)on the activities of catalase(CAT),superoxide dismutase(SOD),malonaldehyde(MDA),glutathione reductase(GR)and glutathione peroxidase(GPx)in liver and white muscle of B.pectinirostris length:(12.9±0.3) cm,mass:(16.5±1.4) g] in 12 tanks at a rate of 6 individualsper tank.were studied under experimental condition at(22±1) ℃.The results showed that the antioxidative mechanism in the liver and white muscle had different responses to PX exposure.The SOD activities in liver and white muscle were both significantly increased in 0.80 μmol/L dose groups,and the same trends were also observed for GR activity.Different from SOD and GR activities,GPx activity in liver increased insignificantly,which in white muscle increased significantly.No statistical changes were found in the effects of PX exposure in different concentrations on CAT activities both in liver and white muscle.The content of MDA in liver increased significantly with the PX concentration raising,while that in white muscle increased significantly with increase in PX exposure in higher concentraion.
