| Abstract: | A great of progress in Farmland irrigation sciences has been achieved since 1978, under the guide of Deng Xiaoping theory of reforming and opening to outside. This paper summarized the progress in last 20 years on following six aspects: scientific system of farmland irrigation, basic theory, high fficiency well irrigation techniques, development and popularization of water saving irrigation techniques, agricultural water management system, and agricultural water management techniques. |
