Abstract:A Groundwater-soil-plant-atmosphere Continuum (GSPAC) water and heat transfer model is established for the calculation of phreatic evaporation in the farmland. Based on the simulation results of the phreatic evaporation from bare soil and from the farmland in the same period, the Method of Equivalent Phreatic Evaporation by Lowering Evaporation Surface is presented. It will be easy for the estimation of the phreatic evaporation from farmland based on the phreatic evaporation from bare soil.
