The main breeding targets were high resistant to lodging, resistant to a variety of diseases, steady yield, wide adaptability, fine quality and special usage, simple production technology, lower production costs, good seed commercial, applicable for agricultural machinery harvesting and so on. In the breeding work, the basis materials researching should be strengthened. In order to breed elite maize inbred lines and meet the demands of seeds production, the techniques as synthesis new germplasm artificially, test the combining abilities of the inbred lines in early age, select strictly and use the advanced breeding techniques and so on had been used.
