Character Inheritance of Offsprings in the Intraspecific Hybridization of Vitis amurensis Rupr.

The complete flower variety 'Shuangqing' (Vitis amurensis Rupr.) and female-flower types were used as parents. The hybrid offspring of 1168 plants in four combinations and 162 seedling plants of wild female-flower V. amurensis Rupr. with natural pollination were investigated.The results are as follows: There is not any separation in cold resistance among hybrid offsprings. The ratio of female plants to male plants is about 1 : 1 and no complete flower plant emerges among hybrid seedling offsprings coming from female plants to male flower plants. The ratio of female plants to complete flower plants is also about 1 : 1 among hybrid offspring plants coming from female flower plants and complete flower plants. Fruit character inheritance shows heterosis.The average fruit-cluster weight of four combinations is greater than that of parents and that of three combinations is even greater than that of parent with larger fruit-cluster weight. The plants with super-parent characters account for 30. 12% ~ 90.03% .The average fresh weight per berry of hybrid posterities is larger than that of parents. The hybrid offspring plant with super-parent characters accounts for 5. 38% ~ 40.9%.The content of soluble solids of offsprings shows a trend to average content of parents and plants with super-parent characters account for 10.69%~25.86%.
