Progress in Wetland Terrain Restoration Research

Wetland terrain reflects to a certain extent wetland landform dynamics.In wetland restoration,wetland terrain should be appropriately restored to have rich landscape elements,form landscape hierarchy,and create a variety of habitat types,thus achieving wetland aesthetics enhancement and environment improvement.This paper described the role of wetland terrain in wetland restoration and expounded the different types of wetland terrain.Wetland terrain restoration techniques were then proposed,including creations of riffle,curved wetland shore zone,habitat islands,deep water,open water,rapid and stagnant water zone.
