| Abstract: | Substantial reviews had been internationally papered from the 1970s to the 1990s.In the recent ten years,researchers have gone deeper in their understanding of the relation between field performance and root volume,number of lateral roots and mineral nutrients.Based on these literatures and the latest research progress,this paper reviewed the current status and future development trend in seedling quality studies.It then analyzed the quality determination methods for seedlings and their capacity to evaluate seedling quality in view of the different evaluation indicators of seedling quality,and systematically discussed the relationships among seedling quality,site condition,and field performance. |
