| Abstract: | The forest ecosystem management is essentially a theory and methodology governing forest resources management, of which the application is not only involved with natural sciences, or rather more with culture and society. The paper introduces the general situation of forest ecosystem management models in the United States, Canada and Germany, and the related context of social, economic and cultural developments, analyzes and compares their basic characteristics. Based on that, the authors present some insights on the forest ecosystem management in China. |
