The community structure and diversity study of moths at the different vegetation types in Zijin Mountain area

In order to reveal the insect communities in Lepidoptera moths and functional status at different types of forest,population density,distribution,the diversity and occurrence of moths was investigated and analyzed at the different vegetation types and different seasons in Zijin Mountain.The results showed that there were 13 total families,28 families,355 genera,and 494 species of moths in Zijin Mountain.The genera,species and individual number of the moths were the highest in broad-leaved forest and lowest in coniferous forests.Because of human disturbances and the natural forest succession,mixed coniferous,coniferous forest and bamboo forest in Zijin Mountain are being in an intermediate stage of succession now,moths were generally more stable in broad-leaved forest,but seasonal changed significantly.The biological characteristics,climatic conditions and ecological environment were the main factors which affected the moth community structure and dynamics.Moth population dynamics in Zijin Mountain had visible timing changes,which might be related to the seasonal temperature changes.
