Personality Consistent with Landscape and Emotion from the State: Bamboo Landscape Characteristic of Hangzhou Su Dongpo Memorial Hall

Hangzhou Su dongpo Memorial Hall, as one of the celebrity memorial hall of Hangzhou, highlights the literati temperament of Su Dongpo with its bamboo landscape, which produces resonance from visitors to bamboo as the externalization of Su's temperament. The paper reviewed the poetry, paints and bamboo planting in gardens to evidence the preference of Su Dongpo over bamboo. It also analyzed the bamboo landscape configuration and the clever application of bamboo elements in the hall, which proves the consistence between the environment and personal temperament of the celebrity. This study would provide references to the future celebrity memorial hall construction.
