Application Prospect on Indigenous Bamboo Species in Community Forestry Development in Siem Reap,Cambodia

Cambodia boasts abundant bamboo resources and has developed a wide range of traditional utilizations, but bamboo resourceS fail to get enough attention in community forestry development. The local villagers in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, are facing the prominent conflicts between economic development and shortage of forest resources, and developing community forestry is an important path to mitigate the conflicts. Local indigenous bamboo species have multiple advantages and should be taken as the priority species in the community forestry development.
