| Abstract: | A new reform in college English teaching is being carried out in China, which demands people change their attitudes towards Teaching Translation (TT). Taking practical and effective measures to improve its situation in college English teaching will be beneficial to students' communicative competence and multiple qualifications. This paper tries to draw more attention to TT in college English. It shows the importance of TT after analyzing the current social situation, indicates the neglect of TT in college English teaching by analyzing the proportion of each part in CET 4 and illustrates the feasibility of TT in the reform of college English teaching through an example. |
