| Abstract: | The classification criterion of sweet osmanthus cultivars is discussed.According to the
color of the flower and the habit and characteristics of flowering,they are divided into four groups:
Thunbergii group,Odoratus group,Aurantiacus group and Semperflorens group.This is the primary
criterion,also the first grade,flower characteristics are taken as the second criterion,leaf characteris-
tics as the third,and time of flowering the fourth.In Henan province there are four groups and eigh-
teen cultivars,among which fifteen cultivars are scored as new records. |
