| Abstract: | Zhengdan 538 was a maize single cross hybrid developed by the Cereal Crop Institute of Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences,which was introduced with inbred line ZhengA88 as the female parent and ZhengT22 as the male parent.The average yield of Zhengdan 538 was 9 882kg/ha in regional tests of two years in Henan province,increased by 9.4% compared with the control variety Zhengdan 958.The average yield in the production test was 9 007.5 kg/ha,increased by 9.5% compared with the control variety Zhengdan 958.This variety was approved by Henan Crop Approval Committee in 2010(2010012).It had outstanding lodging resistance,high-density and stress tolerance,superior quality,and high-yield potential. |
