The SWOT Analysis on the Development of Grassland Agriculture in Hunan Province

Using the SWOT method to analysis the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and challenges of the development of grassland agriculture according to the current situation of grassland agriculture in Hunan Province. Hunan has predominance on natural resources, social conditions and location to develop grassland agriculture. The main inferiorities lie in the lack of awareness of its importance, the support from them government and the scale, the intensivism and the mechanization level. The opportunities include the vast developing potential, the policy support and the market demand. Challenges exist in the feed resources, the environmental protection, the food safety and industry competition. At last, some countermeasures and suggestions were put forward from government guidance, science promotion, the scale and modernization.
