Abstract:The histochemical localization of polyamine oxidase in the peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)seedlings(6-day-age) was studied using a histochemical staining techique. Putrescine-induced staining occurred more frequently in the cortical parenchyma of the hypocotyl and in the conducting parenchyma of the primary leaves, and most of the staining was on the cell wall. The paper offered some suggestions on how to obtain a better photography of the histochemical localization of polyamine oxidase.
