水试验研究了樗蚕（ＰｈｉｌｏｓａｍｉａｃｙｎｔｈｉａＷａｌｋｅｒｅｔＦｅｌｄｅｒ）的形态特征和生物学特性．此虫在河北冀东１年发生２代，以蛹越冬．４月下旬开始羽化，５日上中旬为羽化盛期，５月中下旬为孵化盛期．幼虫共分５龄．第１代蛹期５０ｄ左右．第１代成虫羽化，产卵盛期为８月上旬，８月中旬为幼虫孵化盛期，９月上中旬为赵冬代化蛹盛期，蛹期２４０ｄ左右．

The form,feature and the biological cheracteristics of Philosamia cythia Walker et Feldeir were studied.This pest reproduces two generations per year in the eastern part of Hchei Province.lts pupa survies the winter and begins to emergence in the last ten-days of April and rseaches full emergence in the first and middle ten days of May. Its full egg-stage is in the hat ten-dayS of May.Its larva passes thlongh five stages.The first generation of pupa stage is about 50 days. The first generation adults emergence and reproduce eggs in the first ten-days of August Its fall larva incubation periol is in the middle ten-days of Augist its overwintering generation of pupa appears in the first and middle ten-days of September. The pupa period is about 240 days.
