| Abstract: | The effects of the number of head per plant, number of kernel per head, thousand-kernel-weight and plant-height on the yield in barley were investigated in 1987-1988. The genotypic correlation coefficient between the yield per plant and the other traits were, in squence, thousand-kernel-weight, plant-heigt, the number of head per plant and the number of kernel per head.The path coefficient analysis showed that the direct effects of these characters on the yield per plant were, in sequence, thousand-kernel-weight, the number of head per plant, the number of kernel per hend, and plant-height. |
