To Verify and Discourse on the Development History of Pineapple

The pineapple originated from the area of Brasilia in middle Brazil today. The American Indians began to domesticate and plant them in 1900-1700 BC. Christopher Columbus was the first man who discovered the pineapple from the old world. The western Europeans brought the pineapple and its cultivation into Africa, Europe and Asia from the beginning to the middle of the 16th century. Yet the pineapple in Europe could be planted in hothouse only under coldness of the climate for visiting and studying. The Portuguese brought the pineapple and its cultivation into the Chinese Macao at the beginning of 17th century. Then pineapple spread from there into Guangdong, from Guangdong into Fujian, Taiwan, Hainan and so on. Taiwan had the cultivation of pineapple by the middle of 17th century. Now China has become one of the main countries of producing and consuming the pineapples. Nevertheless, pineapple's appellation in China are very numerous and jumbled, and two names Boluo and Fengli among them are strongest competitors. I advocate to take Boluo as formal and current name because it is more scientific, more rich in cultural factors, more favored by the consumers and operated and implemented more conveniently.
