茄子功能性雄性不育系的利用研究

通过对6份较优不育系材料和5份恢复性材料配组的30个不育组合的早期产量、总产量的一般配合力分析及不育系主要不育性状的调查评估，研究了茄子功能性雄性不育系的可利用性。结果表明，不育组合产量优势明显，试验鉴定出性状稳定，整齐度高，不育性强，配合力好。因此，茄子的功能性雄性不育系有较强的实用价值。

UTILIZATION OF FUNCTIONAL MALE STERILITY IN EGGPLANTS

Six functional male sterile lines of eggplant (Solanum melongena) and 5 restoring lines were crossed in 30 combinations, and the general combining ability of their early and total yield was estimated and the sterility-related traits of the male sterile lines were investigated so as to study the possibility of utilizing functional sterility in this species. The results indicated that the cross combinations had significant heterosis in productivity and that the sterile lines were highly stable and uniform in their sterility and had satisfactory combining ability. It is, therefore, concluded that functional male sterile lines of eggplant are of considerable practical value to the breeding of the vegetable.
