Abstract:Compared with the traditional cropping system,ridge cropping or paddy-upland rota- tion resulted in a decrease in the contents of water soluble,exchangeable,reducible Mn-combined,carbonate-combined,organic matter-combined and amorphous Mn-combined Fe,Mn,and Cu in purple paddy soil,and in a relative increase in the re- mainders of these minerals.Consequently,the providibility of Fe,Mn and Cu dropped un- der the new cropping systems.On the other hand,exchangcable and reducible Mn-com- bined Zn increased in different degrees,thus improving the providibility of Zn in the soil. An adsorption-enrichment effect of organic matter,reducible Mn and amorphous Fe on Fe,Mn,Zn and Cu was observed in the soil.
