Introduction of Risk Analysis for Submarine Pipelines

In this paper,the main failure mechanisms and three probabilistic failure models are introduced,and the category classification methodology of likelihood of failure is also given. From the view of safety consequence,economic consequence and environmental consequence,the calculation method of consequence of failure is explained for submarine pipelines. According to the result of likelihood of failure and consequence of failure,risk category of submarine pipelines can be determined by a risk matrix.
