玉米细胞质雄性不育性与组织抗氰呼吸关系的研究

摘    要:研究了3种核背景(Mo17、77、B37)4种细胞质类型(N,C,S,T)玉米细胞系雄性不育系及其可育保持系根组织以及Mo17背景4种细胞质类型花药组织的抗氰呼吸。初步表明玉米细胞质雄性不育性与抗氰呼吸的缺乏有关。研究了玉米细胞质雄性不育系抗氰呼吸的程度与其生活力之间的相关并讨论了可能的原因。

Abstract:Cyanide.resistant (alternative) respiration by roots from C, S, T-cytoplasmic male sterile corn seedlings on three nuclear backgrounds (Mo17, B37, 77) and anthers from Mo17 background were studied. On the backgrounds studied, cms-C, S lacked alternative pathway in roots, while the roots of corresponding fertile maintainer line and cms-T line displayed a typical alternative pathway equivalent to about 15.20% of the total respiratory activity (Vt). On Mo17 background, cms-S lacked alternative pathway in anthers, the Valt/Vt of cms-C and cms-T anthers are about 4%,7-10%,while the anthers of Mo17(N)manifested alternative pathway equivalent to about 20-30% of the total respiratory activity (Vt.). Since cytokinins are known to both inhibit the alternative pathway and effect floral development, it might be the plant growth regulator involved in the Flavell hypothesis. The relation between alternative respiration in the cms-lines and their higher vigor was also discussed.
