| Abstract: | A radio-controlled model boat obtained surface samples of plankton and of air over water; it was especially useful in obtaining samples of neuston in water less than 15 centimeters in depth. It can be used to sample highly rcdioactive areas. The boat functions best in calm water or where surface currents are less than 3 knots. |
