摘    要:改进陆地棉纤维强度是目前北方棉区棉花育种工作的迫切任务。其改进方法一是将海岛棉强纤维基因转育到陆地棉,但由于变异大,分离世代长,需要较长时间才能完成。二是用具有野生棉种质的陆地棉强纤维品种改进当地推广品种。后一途径的主要困难在于强纤维特性与高皮棉产量间有负相关,使高产与强纤维不易结合(Al-Jibouri 等1958,Miller 和Rawling 1967,Meredith 和 Bridge 1971)。克服这种困难的第一种方法是用群体内互交,以打破这种不利的连锁,在 F_1、F_2、F_3代把互交与选择结合,可使皮棉产量与成纱强度的相关系数由-0.93变为0.45,出现不少高产与强纤维结合的选系(culp 等1979)。第二种
